Hi all,I found an easy and cheap alternative for making legends for annunciators. Since I don't have a CNC machine or the possibilities of laser engraving I have these legends silk screen printed on a Lexan sheet.Look at my website for the tutorial:http://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/flightsimpagina.htmlhttp://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/image/o...eo394pg11p3.jpghttp://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/image/DSC05368.jpghttp://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/jeroenleveld.jpg

I want to build a custom joystick, but I don't have the tools and equipment to make it look "professional".Does anyone know of a company that can custom manufacture joysticks for PC's?Most of the joystick manufactures I've found are geared toward the non PC market. Thanks,Bryan

Hi all,I added a new tutorial on my website. It's easy to make or copy your small simulator components using a mould of silicon rubber and resin. The idea is not completely new but a tutorial might be useful for the builders community. Please check my website for details:http://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/flightsimpagina.htmlhttp://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/image/o...eo367pg11p3.jpghttp://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/image/o...eo303pg11p3.jpgEnjoy!http://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/jeroenleveld.jpg

Hey,I'm working with a few friends on building an A320 sim. I have just one question, any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Is there anyway to save the positions of windows in MSFS so that when you start the sim with 4 monitors, you don't have to drag and resize windows to their proper position/proportions?Thanks,http://www.kthxdone.com/images/kw_ft.jpgKen Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs

Hi,In the AVSIM MS Forum I saw a post from somebody telling that there are no sideviews in the 2D panel in FSX, only front view...If that is true that would be a problem for a home cockpit builder like me (and you?) because I do not use the VC but the 2D panel.I could and would not migrate to FSX is this is true.... Since Fs2004 I am using the Aerosoft MCP / Eicas/ Efis hardware.Since 2 years Aersoft Australia stopped producing them.Like me there are certainly others wondering if the hardware will work with FSX or that we can put it away, which would be a pity. The same when Vista somes out.Does anyone know something ?

While googling around, I came across this radio stack as part of a setup that includes the older gameport driven CH Virtual Pilot Yoke, some sort of Throttle Quad and this radio stack. It appears to be from training system, but the seller has ZERO information on it, no books/drivers/etc. I couldn't care less about the other parts, but I'm trying to figure out if the radio stack is worth picking up. Unfortunately, without being able to ID it, I can't really find out any info on it to see if it's something that's supportable with modern sims, etc.If anyone can ID this, please let me know. From what I can make out on the bottom of the image it says:"Interactive Computing (a…

Ok, I'm sure this one has been thought of before but I've been thinking of how to build a decent cockpit that would cover both the boeing & airbus airliners.Could I hook up 10 Screens (Inc. 4 Touch Screens). The windows of the aircraft would be covered by 2 wide screens in front with one wide screen followed by one normal screen to each side. Then 2 "touch screens" below the front two for the windows that would incorporate the MCP and all the instrument panels. (you could touch the gear handle down etc.)Then 1 "touch screen" length ways above the front windows to be the overhead panel (all buttons touchable to operate etc.)Then 1 "touch screen" length ways below the fro…

How can I use it with Level D? I have tried the send keys w/the FSIM software, but there is too much latency with rotaries. Can I use the FSCONV program and send offsets?? I have tried, but I can't get it to work. If it is possible to use FSCONV, can someone give me an example of how to set up a rotary to change the MCP altitude? Thank you

Hey gang,I'm starting to get back into the Flight Sim hobby after a many year hiatus (got my start on Flight Simulator 2 for the C64 many MANY years ago... Actually learned how to plot my position using the VORs and ADFs back then... Not bad for what was a 12yr old at the time!) Fast forward 21 years- Having finally gotten to a financial point where I can have a top end PC (specs below) and seeing how the technology has progressed, I'm once again excited to get back into the sim world.I'm looking to set up a MODEST flight sim setup for doing some simming, probably with FS-X although I'm currently using 2004. No specific aircraft, although I tend more towards the 737 and …
