Is it possible to suppress the single line red text on green banner in the cockpit window which repeats the squawkbox info. (Such as Session .... etc). Since all this appears in the Squawkbox window, it's distracting to have it repeated in the out of plane view.I tried adding to fs9.cfg MAIN sectionHideInfoText=1but that didn't helpThanks,Larry Jones

About 2 months ago there was a major battle with the Worm spreading accross the internet world causing computers to reboot due to some RPC problems.It affected me as well, but I removed it safely and it was gone for good.Important thing to mention is that I run my internet connection with disabled firewall, as it causes a lot of problems to Squawbox connection for Vatsim online flying which I do very often.Now, yesterday the horror started again - RPC will reboot now.Just prior to this incident I reinstalled my video drivers, as they were causing me problems.I ran the worm fighting software once again (I still had it on my drive fortunately). it found the worm and removed…

hi guys,tonight i figured i could participate in the virtual onesky? event,so i set up a flight from ehrd(rotterdam,netherlands) to lirf(rome,italy).i connected at 21.30,started to fill out my fp form,checked for atc coverage....LOCKUP...now,i've had lockup's before,with sb and sbhost.dll...so i thought:"drat...i'll have to restart"...restarted,set up the very same flight....LOCKUP......now i get a wee bit annoyed,but hey,what else can one do right,then reboot,restart the sim,resetup the flight,and fill out the form...i checked for atc:LOCKUP...now thoroughly mad,i went on the hunt:i uninstalled sb,removed sb.ini file,removed sbhost.dll,and rebooted...installed the whole …

I upgraded to XP this past summer. Not that many issues have occured but one has been plaguing me since the start. When I go to play a MP game, In FS2K2, I start a session and have to enter 127.0.0.1 in the IP address field. Click host and it loads fine. I go to SB and start a session. When it asks me to enter my IP address in the search field I just hit enter. This stalls SB and I eventually have to close SB out and open it again. The only way I can get it to work properly is to go back into FS and under the MP options, copy down the IP address that shows on the host options. Paste that in the SB search field and it works like it should. I have to do the same thing with …

hello dear ppl!i start to get familliar with 'Pro Controller' and nothing stops me now from going into the network and giving some ATC service. However, i don't know how to have my RW to appear listed as available voice RW ATC on "Server Info' (or elsewhere? where?) so that people that fly by can directly hook their Roger Wilco into mine. Is anyone able to explain what has to be done to be available just as other ATC ppl on the network (IVAO)?thanks!!!___

Hello! I have a problem with FSUIPC 3.06 (not registered - yet ) and Squawkbox 2.3. I start SBRelay, then open FS9, run SBHost, and then connect to VATSIM via Squawkbox. Now I have the problem that when i try to send a transmission, i get a server automated message that i am on a wrong frequency (even if I am von 122.8, thats the Unicom if doesn't seem to work) and it also says to me that I have to download and install FSUIPC. But it's already installed..... The strange thing is that I can chat with anybody there on 122.8 but I don't see any other frequencies I can select, even if I am in a covered area like an airport with tower support. I cannot get RW to recieve. The only change to my system was to install the Worm virus XP patch from Microsoft. I have tried disabling the XP firewall it makes no difference. Transmission see OK.Any suggestions?Regards,Andrew.

Small problem (I hope)I have set up SB with FS2004 using SBrelay on a separte PC using Wideclient (later register version) I am using SB. Everthing connects OK. I can see myself listed in ServInfo and Whazzup, air traffic and see me on theie scope. BUT I CANNOT SEE ANY OTHER AIRCRAFT. The other aircaft on the ground are listed in SBrelay. I gave copy all the CLS aircraft into the aircraft dir in FS9. NOTHING.I would appreciate if anyone could help with this.ThanksAndrew.

Can someone please answer a newbie problem? I set up a mulitsession game in FS2002 then ran sbhost and then sb and I can't seem to get past "Looking for Games".I've tried adding my PC's local IP address;I've disabled XP's firewall settings on both computers;I've turned off McAfee Firewall;Ane I've even (as was suggested elsewhere) turned off the messeging service in XP.But no joy!!!Can someone please point me in the right direction? For a short period of time I was able to get SB running (build 2.3.5 for FS2002) in the host window on my 98SE client, via Wide FS current version, for both FS2002 and FS2004. Worked well on both.Now I run SB on the client again and after it finds the multiplayer session on the host I just get the hourglass sign and then nothing.SB is listed on the task manager as running but I can't see it. It does not successfully compile an .ini file if I remove it from the windows registry before running it. I installed FS9 yesterday which, of course, inflicts DX9.0a on the target system, but I retained FS2002. I connect to VATSIM across a network using WideFS. Now if I try to connect to VATSIM using FS2002 as usual on the FS PC and SB on the other machine, I cannot connect. I suspect that this might be because there is DX 8.1 on the SB machine and there is some sort of conflict between the two DX versions. Does that make sense?

Hi folks,I am fairly new to flying online and I was wondering if anyone knew how to assign a button on a CH Flightsim Yoke to be the push to talk key for Roger Wilco, to avoid having to press another key on the keyboard while flying? I have a Pentium 3, 1.0 KHz, 512 meg mem with Win XP. I have been simmingalong nicely for the past 6 months or so without a hitch. About 6 days agowhen I made my normal hook up attempt , multiplayer connect, SB Host, SquawkBox Callup etc. everything worked fine until I tried to load the flightplan. The flight plan will load and display for a second or so, sometimeslong enough to fill out the comments section.
