Hi All,Has anybody encountered this problem with switching between windows? Basically I cannot switch back into FS.I am using FS9 to fly online; this is the procedure that I follow:-Start SB RelayStart FS9 and connect to multiplayerRun SquawkBox host and then main application.Connect SB and File Flight Plan, this once connected opens Roger Wilco.Start BAV ACARS and set ACARS time to FS time.Now when trying to switch back into FS a black screen appears and it does not allow me access to FS? Even using Task Manager I cannot switch screens? This is driving me crazy any help would be appreciative.ThanksPHIL

Hi, When I try to use Squawkbox all I get is a error that has to do with something called mfc42.dll. I can run the host fine. I can find my multiplayer session ok. It is after I click join that I get the message. SBHost darkens for a moment, then a message comes up saying that squawkbox.exe has caused a problem in mfc42.dll and would I like to report the problem to Microsoft. Microsoft must be tired of hearing about this problem by now. Can anyone help?? I need it. I used to be able to connect before I upgraded to Win XP.

Im having trouble when using Squawkbox where I will attempt to type in the squawkbox chat window, not realising it doesnt have the focus. This results in stray keypresses going into FS. This keeps causing my right engine to disconnect from my joystick. Strangely, after this has happened, the A/P Auto-throttle can still control power, but my joystick throttle from them on forward only controls the left engine. It ruined a landing on me last night, and Im sick and tired of it... so I finally got around to posting here.Surely this must happen to others, and im not alone. Does anyone know what key is causing this? A cure?Thanks

Trying to get back into VATSIM. Last couple of nights planned on getting online. Get stuck after I connect, when it only gives me the UNICOM frequency, even though it shows that their are controllers active in the area. I am trying to fly out of SFO, and there are usually OAK or SFO controllers at night, and it shows so when I check who is online. I am using FS2002 on an XP system, with Squawkbox 2.3.0.5, and with registered FSUIPC 3.201. I bet its only a little thing, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Herb

Could some one please explain to me why I create these two situations?One time I install SB and SB host and I can view ( access) my SB Host window in full screen. Other time I install the same and the SB Host window can only be accessed in the small screen. What am I doing wrong?ThanksMB

Hi I have a problem with Squawkbox and winds: I can be flying along in my B738 at FL370. Pressing shift-z shows me an indicated airspeed of 270kts and the GPs shows a ground speed of 458kts. So i think all is normal. Then the controller comes to me and asks me to confirm speed because they are getting a reading of 120kts ground speed. So i look at my squawkbox window (with the TAS and IAS in it) I can't remember what the TAS was but the IAS was varying between 105kts and 280kts. Good Day! I've just downgraded from FS9 back to FS2002 out of frustration... I spend a lot of time on VATSIM, and while I've had my share of issues with SB/SBRelay, they've been managable. But - when I tried to join a FlyIn over the weekend, SBRelay kept disconnecting my user. I was running FS9 using the POSKY 757. I was trying to start up at KDEN (which was quite crowded because of the fly-in). I run SB through SBHost.dll and I use FS Nav. Hi Folks, I run FS2002pro with WideFS, keeping SB on the remote client machine.Everything works well; I can see all the others online, and there are no issues except for one little one.I do not hear any of the SquawkBox sounds on either of the machines.I have checked folder where Squawkbox is installed, and all the sound files are there. But when I connect, or when the controller sends a private message, I do not hear the sounds that I used to hear when I ran Squawkbox of the same machine as FS.Does anyone here have any experience with this, or any suggestions as to what I might have done wrong?Thanks in advance and best regards.BTW: I still have SB installed in the ho…

Hey guys im having a problem where sometimes people on vatsim are the same aircraft I am even though i have CSL installed correctly..I have noticed this happens with the pre filed planes who put their aircraft type as something different from CSL such as A320/M-SRIWY/SIt is really annoying because as you can imagine having 6 AI planes on a busy day as the same aircraft as you are..the FPS are terrible!!Is there any way i can stop SB from using my aircraft?Thanks in advance! :)Oops forgot using FS2002 with SB Host in WideFS (Still does this if i run SB on the same comp and with the DLL.

Hi people. I spent a long time on here last night looking for the answer to my issue. I thought I had it solved but no.I have come back to online flying after 9 months off.So I now have FS9 and want to get SB working for online flying. I have followed all the guides but cant seem to make it work. I seem to fail at the last hurdle.The bit where the sqauwk Box is meant to appear in the SB Host window within the game. It just does not appear, it does not appear in windows 2000 either although in FS it does say in the text bar Sqauwkbox has joined the session.Any help would be appreciated as I am longing to get back in the air.

Hi there.Cheers for taking the time to read :)I enjoy flying online and have no prblems what so ever connecting and so forth.However...I have just downloaded Ultimate Traffic and it runs really well. But if I connect to the vatsim network all my ULTIMAT TRAFFIC goes. Im wondering if anyone else has this problem but I think the fact is you might not be able to have Ultimate Traffic running and still fly using sb. The reason I ask is because as we all know the online flying is great and the ATC verbal communication is a close to relaity if you ask me. But the visual representation in FS2004,FS2002 isnt good. Hi ALl.Firstly, you will see my specs in my sig,so you know what I'm using,now then, I just can't seem to get sb relay 1.2 to interact with fs9 and sb host etc. I have even tried turning off my firewall,and security prog. even then I just don't seem to be able to get sb relay to show in the list of sessions to connect to in fs9. I can create a session etc, but not connect to sb relay, I have checked the FAQ and read the readme, has anyone else had this issue,or know of anything else to try.I can't be the only one,surely not.thanks in advanceSteve,

It seems I have installed a "super-charged" version of the SB radios somehow. Within the past few months, I've noticed that when I am tuned to a live ATC frequency, I can "hear" the controller and all other pilots on that frequency and within range ... just as it should be. However, I also receive all ATC transmissions from all other controllers transmitting within range of my aircraft. For example, if I were flying into Denver and connected with DEN_CTR, I would hear ATC and pilots connected to DEN_CTR frequency. I can also receive DEN_APP, SLC_CTR, ABQ_CTR, and LAX_CTR at the same time.I can still fly and work the system fine, but it sure makes my chat box busy! Wh…

When using fs2004, SB Relay and SB; SB main identifies my multiplayer session, but it fails to connect to the session and displays a fault message stating this. I cannot progress beyond requesting to join my multiplayer session.Please help?G.Barling

I am new to all of this voice stuff. I have set AVC up with Vatsim and online flying and it works fine. My question is , Can I talk with another pilot privatly. My friend and I fly at the same time and would like to talk with each other. Is this possible? Many thanks in advance, Bob

i have FS2004 and i am having trouble seeing traffic. I have the CSL and still i can not see any traffic. Any idea why this happens?
