I am trying to setup SB2.3 beta on a 2nd computer via WideFS. I have no problems finding the MP sessions but when I try to start SB and select the Squawk Box session nothing happens. In SBRelay I get the following (although sometimes it say "host can not be enumerated")Added player 'N342LB' to FS2002 sessionAdded player 'N342LB' to FS2004 sessionRemoved player 'N342LB' from FS2002 sessionRemoved player 'N342LB' from FS2004 sessionERROR 0x80070057 sending QUERY_PLAYER_PLANE to to 2002 sessionI was told I don't need to use SBHost because I am using WideFS. Please could anybody help me.....i have been using squawkbox a while albeit it is very tempermentle.however just lately i keep getting the message"You are missing the file csv.icao aircraft will not be shown properley.and yet im my squawkbox main folder sits that fileshould it be located anywhere else or am i doing something wrong and why has it only just startedthank youDave

I think we have solved the problem with FS9 & SB crashing when changing from full screen to windowed mode. I seemed strange everyone I talked to with this problem were running ATI Radeon video cards. It is the Radeon that is at fault. Goto the site below and download the ATi Radeon Beta Catalyst 4.9 drivers and install them. It seems to have solved my lockup issue using one PC or two with WideFS. When I try to connect Sqawkbox and find my multiplayer session I get an error box saying "Error enumeratingDirectPlay games". I am using FS9 in Windows XP. Can anyone help please!

I am trying to help a friend get started with online flying. I have helped a bunch of people recently and all are now flying online. My friend is another story. We got 2002 up and running for him. He did experience a problem with SB though. Everytime he turned his pc back on and tried to fly he would go through all the steps and before the splash screen for SB ( the click here to get into the action) it would say " SB has encountered an error and must shutdown" we found his Host SB dll was bad but he had to reinstall the Host SB dll everytime he started FS2002. So he wanted to use FS9. We successfully installed everything.but we get an error in the same place as 2002 and…

Just started with VATSIM & seems great if only I could get it working. 8 nights now and counting.When searching for a valid Multiplayer session never finds game. Details ...I followed 'VATSIM UK Pilot Training BASIC unit 1'. All s/w installs OK etc & have added 80.249.98.88 to ipaddr.tx OK. I can get FS2004 running OK. Then set up Multiplayer OK. HostSB runs fine. Problem occurs with SQBox (v2.3) which does not find the running game at all, just keeps searching. Tried 127.0.0.1 also. I recently installed the newest version of FSUIPC because I needed it for another freeware program I use, ActiveAirsource. I searched the forums and found the code to registered freeware applications with FSUIPC and did so. Now whenever I try to send a transmission via squawkbox I get a message from server saying that I need to download FSUIPC and read installation instructions completely...anyone had this problem and what did you do to fix it?

Read on some other post that ZA 5.xxx.xxx does not work with SB. In fact all that you can do is HOST, rather than join a game.Is there a FIX to this on the horizon or is just a feature.I dont really want to go back and download ZA 4.xxx.xxx unless I have to.If this is off topic for this forum then accept my apologise.Cheers.Andy.

Hi,I searched in the forums and found a couple of posts that have the same problem I'm experiencing but there was never an answer.I am trying to installing SB to my system. Running FS9 and when I try to install it says it can't find my flight simulator software. The options it offers is 2000 and 2002 FS. I have pointed it to my FS9 direction to no avail. So looking for assistance in this matter from people much smarter than I.Thanks in advance,Steve

Small problem with AVC used with SBV2.3. Setup has been working well for several months, but now when selecting ATC Directory, all I see is Unicom. Seems AVC and/or SB uses rw.avsim.net/Unicom as default server to log onto. I can disconnect from AVC and reconnect directly to a given controller position listed, but have to do this every time I switch controllers. Anybody have any ideas?

Hey Everybody!!I wonder if anyone can help me around with this... I'm running an investigation project at a Portuguese University envolving Flightsim and online flying, but there we have connection restrictions, inside the university's network. So I need to know which ports or ip squawkbox uses to connect to the server, in order to ask for the "superiors" there to enable them in my office. Hi allI'm using:O/S: Windows 2000 fully patchedFS2000 standard with patch 2.0bSquawkbox 2.3 beta 4FSUIPC 3.22I'm able to load FS2k, and squawkbox, go online, and successfully communicate with ATC. I can even see other planes...For some reason however, FS2000 just randomly shuts down after 5 - 10 minutes, with the message "FS has encountered an internal error and will shut down"Am I using the wrong FSUIPC dll?Any suggestions would be great ;)Regards,Peter

I can't find anyone else that has this problem. When I load a flightplan I am unable to choose an aircraft other than the one that was chosen originally on squawkbox. I know that the line next to the TCAS box usually has the planes listed but when I bring up the box it is empty. I have removed squawkbox and downloaded twice to see if a new version might solve this problem but each time I do this the same problem arises and I can never show ATC what aircraft I am actually flying. I'm a new user and have managed to get it working with FS2002, but I'm having a couple of problems.The first is that when the message window is open and I'm trying to type a reply to a controller and the controller transmits a message to me at the same time, or when someone joins or leaves a session, the message is cut off and disappears.I've checked the menu for the "ignore joins/leaves", but that has had no effect either checked or unchecked.The Chicago Center and STL Approach controller never heard of the problem and no one else seems to know anything about it either.The second is just a question.Is there any way to bring up the active frequency list for a server witho…

I am a newbie to squawkbox and need some help. I use fs2004 and have v2.3, and all of the other software VATSIM says you need. So far i have opened SBrelay, and opened a multiplayer session is FS. I then opened hostSB. I have just opened squawkbox, and started searching for the SBrelay game. For some reason it is not appearing. If you could please help that would be great. Thanks alot!-CK

A cry for help!Just lately I switched to Windows XP Professional, because my windows ME was too unstable.In the beginning, all went right, until I wanted to fly online.First I had troubles, because SB couldn't find the multiplayer session, although I seemed to be online and I managed to fly one flight, even with voice controller. I resolved the problem, with unchecking my firewall in XP. It worked!!! But then the misery started!!! I have the latest copy of SB installed. I connect to the server..no problems. I see myself on Whazzup..no problem. But when I go throught the connection process, I get a window warning that a file (I forget now) can not be located, also a window stating the CSL_ICAO can not be found and a/c will not show up!?. And yes, in the Flight Planner, there are no a/c in the drop down.I have insatlled CSL and CSL_ICAO in both FS9 and SB. If I look in the folders, they are there. But..Should they be installed e.g CSL in FS main or FS a/c? I have tried at least 4 different combinations, and have yet to see these a/c show up anywhere, even in the FS9 Select a/c. I noticed tonight after using FS9 and squawkbox 2.3 two items that I previously experienced in FS2002.1. I no longer can see the SB message in the green box that scrolls across the top of the FS screen. I hear the sound and have to switch over.2. I no longer can see other a/c in my area.
