I have both fs2000/2002 and I have just upgraded from 98 to XP home (not a good move I hear you all cry). When I run SB it finds the session ok and roger wilco works fine but after a while I get a Module.dll fault (old faishoned blue screen of death) which wants to shut my fligh sim down. If I dont fly on line it all works ok. I am using the correct versions of SB for each type of flight sim and have managed to rule Roger Wilco out as well. Any SB experts out there know of anything to help ???? PLEASE !!

Alright, after having nothing but problems trying to get back on VATSIM with FS9, I decided this weekend I was going to keep trying until I figured it out. Well, I have figured out my problem, but I don't know what to do about it.The problem was that every time I tried to connect, after launching FS9, alt-tabbing out to launch SB, I could never get back in to FS9. It always locked up with a completely dark screen. Today, I wasn't satisfied to just let it beat me...lol. Started SBRelay, launched and joined in FS, alt-tabbed out of FS to start SBHost, etc. After I remaximized FS9, sure enough, black screen. So I hit alt-enter to go into windowed mode, didn't think it would …

I am experiencing problems when trying to start Squawkbox when FSNavigator is installed, the problem goes away when FSNav is not around. When I click 'join' for the session, Squawkbox crashes, saying there is a problem with User32.dll. I get messages ranging from Failed to Enumerate the Hosts, to Failed to Connect to the Server with some odd message.I have seen other posts, but no solutions?? Please, I need one, I love FSNavigator, but am having real problems with not being able to get online.Thanks,AJ

I am having an issue with Squawkbox running on Windows XP HE. I had been using MSFS2000 on a Windows 98 platform up until this past weekend. I installed MSFS2000 and squawkbox with all the required files just as before. When I attempt to file a flightplan through SB, I get the error message stating that I do not have the file CSL_ICAO.csv installed. I have checked and rechecked that I do indeed have the file installed in the main SB folder. I have installed all CSL files appropriately to the point where I get all of the extra aircraft in my AC drop down list when selecting an aircraft however, the selection in the file a flightplan screen is not there. Does anyone know a good workaround / patch / change in the code that will allow people to see beyond 10 miles? I set my Squawkbox multiplayer distance to 40, but according to several people, FS9 limits the distance you can see to 10 miles. I am hoping there is some way to change this..Thanks,AJ

Hi, I am using Xplane ,Xsquawkbox,TS and IVAORW to connect to IVAO.When I use voice the text messages from controllers disappear.When I don't use voice the text returns.I have contacted the developer of IVAORW the voice plugin and he blames Xsquawkbox.Anyone have this problem.??Regards,Derrick

Hello,I used squawkbox a while ago without any problems. I followed the tutorial step by step. started sbrelay thenfs9, opened a multiplayer session and joined the sbrelay session.started SBhost and then the squawkbox main programm. when it starts searching for a session it doesnt find anything.i used to be on broadband and a router now I am on dialup, no firewall or anything like that. any idea what is wrong?

Well I set up a network, only 2 computers at this time. One runs XP the other 98. Now on the 98 machine I set up WideFS it works, it runs AI Bridge and my EICAS software with no problems.I downloaded a copy of Squawkbox version 2.3 build 4 as I understnad this version works great for networked systems. Hello, everyone. I'm experiencing a major problem while flying at VATSIM.I open SBRelay 1.2, then FS2004, connect it to multiplayer, create a flight, open SBHost, then SquawkBox 2.3.But, during my flights, the ATCs complain that my path at their screens are innacurate. They ask me to turn, or change the altitude...I do it normally, but they see no movement with my plane, and then terminate the services.When I check the java "Visual Display" applet at www.vatsim.net site, I see my flight path and position there is also very innacurate . Hi.In FS2k2, I could see other aircraft while flying online a significant distance away. In FS9, I can't see other aircraft unless they are practicaly on top of me,In the FS9.cfg file, within the section for Muliplayer, there are two possible lines that could be the one I need to tweek inorder to extend the 13 mile radius. Dear All, PLEASE, please help. I am running out of patience ! I been using FS2000 and FS2002 for over three years and this is the first major problem I have come across. I switched internet packages a couple of months ago (1p/per min to unlimited use with onetel) and ever since I have been unable to fly online. I start a mulitplayer, start sbhost and sb programes. It finds my session and I can connect up ok. I sit at the gate and after ten seconds or so the internet connection drops off line kicking me off squawkbox. I'm one of the XP Home users who can't use HostSB.dll in FS9, because SB never loads. This isn't about that (unless someone's had a breakthrough?), because SB Host works fine. I just have a small nit to pick, and that is with the SB Host starting window size & position. It's always half the screen and near the center. I have to resize it to just barely larger than the SB comm window so I have most of screen available to FS, which I also run windowed. Hello, I've been on vatsim for about 3 years now, and using squawkbox without a problem. However recently, anfter taking a few months off from flightsiming, I got back into it. I reinstalled all the software, cleaned up my system, and loaded everything up. Now I'm having MAJOR problems with online flying. My regular DSL internet connection works fine, but when connected to SQUAWKBOX, I have trouble. The initial connection works great, I get connected, use sbhost (with FS2002) and load the main squawkbox exe. At the gate I see other traffic, I can call up an atc, everything seems great. I took off from Boston on Tower frequency. Tower then asks me to switch to 133.0 for Departure. Yet the only frequency displayed was 199.998. What is this all about? The airport was busy , and here I was in the air without contact. I mentioned this to tower, and he swore that the frequency(133.0) was available. thanks.tony

I just joined VATSIM last weekend, and entered my fourth day in trying to come up with a working solution. I tried, and failed, to run SB on my FS9 box, and it was recommended to run it on a separate machine over wideFS anyway for stability and frame rates.My setup:Running FS9 with FSUIPC 3.2 (registered) and WideFS (latest), and FS Navigator. The primary PC is an AMD FX-51 based box running XP SP1a, with 1Gb of memory and a an AT9800 running at 2.2GHz or thereabouts, which in the Intel world is over a 3GHz equivalent.The wideFS PC is a 2.2GHz P4 with 1GB memory and an NVidia 5900 ultra. HiPlease could somebody help a newbie please, problem driving me nuts! I am running FS2K2 on WIN XP, with SB... Program opens ok but when I click to open the fms it opens but will not re-size and half of it is missing, right hand side column of buttons missing. I have uninstalled both sb and sbhost.dll several times and tried a system restore, but it wont fix. Problem is made worse by the fact that it is making fs hang after a few minutes. Any troubleshooting suggestions greatly appreciated, also would like to know if anybody knows if SB installs files elsewhere other than in the sb directory. MTIA Steve

Usually I find the answers to all of my questions/problems by using the search features.I've been flying on Vatsim for about 1 year now.Never had a problem with FS2002. I tried to search for this topic using search option, but none of the solutions found addresses my problem unfortunately.I am connected to SB and see other aircraft on a TCAS display, yet I am unable to see them around me at the airport.I have an internet connection via ISDN modem provided to me by my telephone operator and have no firewall installed.I will appreciate your help.Dom

A friend of mine is having a few problems with SB. He can connect no problem, but when he does he gets an error message saying that 'other aircraft will not be displayed'. Fair enough, he can still use ATC but he can't see whether there is anyone around him when taxiing etc. Makes for some very unhappy people when he pushes back into them or wing clips them when taxiing.I hope someone out there can help, as he is actually worried about using SB now, and just wants to get back into the thick of it.For info, he had tried unistalling and reinstalling, downloading a new zip of it, then reinstalling, all to no avail.I look forward to hearing from someone,pa2q2

I've been reading the posts covering some extended period about troubles getting SquawkBox to load. Here's my situation which appears to have popped up quite recently.If I log into XP as Administrator I can use SquawkBox without problems. If I log into my normal user profile everything works until I tell SB to connect, it then crashes with an error. Only the SB program crashes, all the others SBRelay, FS9 Multiplayer and SBHosts are still there and working fine. I can even restart SB until it crashes again on my connect attempt.Finally, even if I use "run as" and run all these as Administrator it still fails at the same spot.Can anyone suggest what the problem might be he…

Hi to all!Yesterday I tried to do my first flight in VATSIM. Here's what happened: Apparently I got connected OK (it said connected). I was able to file the flight plan I loaded in SB (said flight plan send). Requested ATIS at KMIA. A controler (whose freq. was XXX-XXX) sent me ATIS. I requested IFR clearance and a blue message appeared in SB saying to read the README file. From there on, I received nothing else from ATC. I've felt I was just close to get the thing running . . .!I've downloaded the SB from the VATSIM downloads. I've downloaded FSUIPC (apparently the one that works with all FSs).
