I use VATSIM and squawkbox alot. I have a headset with a mic attached on. Whenever i open up suqawkbox and connect on it, it seems that i can hear myself breathe, and i hear all this noise. Does anybody else experience this? If so does anybody know if this is a bug? And if so is there a patch or fix for this? Plus does anybody know when the suqawkbox v3 is suppose to be coming out. Ive given up with SB and am soley using PC as a controller. It works fine at home but id like to know if i can use it at university on a network which is definitly behind a firewall - dont know anything about it though sry.when ive tried before i get an error 1061 or something.So if you could help id much appreciate it and also does any one know what the latest version is pls, i have 2.2.thanksGeorge

I ve 2 PC on WIN2000 . One is Running FS2002, the other has WideFS V5.00, SQuawkbox , ROgerWilco version Mark Id3.How to configure all .INI files to activate RogerWilco from the Keyboard of the FS2002 PC. ( i would like to use the "Insert" Key from the 6Key part of my keyboard.I ve tried .... tired ... no success.THanks.

everything was fine with FS2000 - but since I've ionstalled FS2002 everything was nothing but...when I connect to the server, SB show everything is "ok" but when I talked to the controller he said he can't see me. I tried other controllers, other airports and other servers and it seems like the problem is with me...please help!!

When I start SBHost over WideFS, FS2002 slows down to a crawl. I can't do anything, but commands seem to be queued. When I switch windows to another application or open a menu everything I did is suddenly executed so it seems to be just blocked and not hanging.Any idea what is causing this (and more importantly, how to cure/prevent it)?

Hello,,,I reloaded my pc and now I'm getting the error in the subject, when I let Sb search for my hosted session. If I search by IP addres is works but then when I connect to Ivao or Vatsim it doesn't register... Does anyone know this is as everything was working before, the only difference I used my notebook for dailup and not this pc. Specs 1.4 GB AMD,652MB RAM, WinXP, FS2002 and SB236

Hi, I have just installed broadband cable internet access on my computer which seems to work really great.But each time I try to log onto a Vatsim or an IVAO server,I always get a timeout error message.So I was wondering if anybody else has cable and runs SB at the sametime and if they could help me?

Just getting into using Pro Controller. I can log in and select my airport. I then get prompted for ATIS information. The only problem is, I can't find how to enter this in any of the documentation. Help!!!Andrew Luck18 miles SW EGSH

Hi there,Ive been trying to get Sb running for ages, as far as i can tell it is my ageing voodoo2 which is the problem. am i right? is there any way that i can get it to run in full screen mode, it runs in windowed mode but thats rubbish for flying with.thanks for any helpGeorge

I'm using a network with 2 PC's. Server running on WinXP with FS2002.Client running on Win98SE. Because FS2002 and SB don't interact as they did with Fs2000, I'm working on a setup in which SB runs on the client PC with the WideFS application.I succeeded to install SB (latest version for FS2002) on the client. With the TCPIP protocol installed and running WideFS, my SB can't join the multiplayer session on the server although it can find the session. Also a connection with IVAO or VATSIM is not possible, although it seems to me that it does receive some information from those servers, because the first line (blue in color) appears in the squawkbox window. properly.I have the same old prob. The old version used to work great.I have installed Sb more than once over the last 3-4 years..with success.But with this version, I have not been able to enjoy the program because of the following- After being connected to SB, Multiplayer etc..the following occursFS is either in pause while I use SB..and when I hit pause the sim starts and SB makes its way to the taskbar..sim works good, but SB along with TCAS and FMS are hid in the task bar, if I call for SB, the sim pauses..thsi causes major probs I can not take a flight where there are controllers online..because they recognize my SIM is paused and it is a big annoyance-The SB gree…

Greetings all. I was wondering if anyone has come up with a nice document for new users that explains what files are needed for all three FS's (98, 2000, 2k2) and sort of a "SB for Dummies" approach? I've got quite a few guys in my va that would love to try on-line ATC but are having probs with all the different instructions and files needed. Thanks!

LefterisI had taken a look through the old messages and hadn't seen any references to not seeing certain controllers in the ATC directory. I did try restarting the program and I still had the same ones missing.I'm working behind a firewall here so all incoming IP sessions are blocked but as far as I was aware SB just uses Telnet on port 23. Anyway, if it were a comms problem I'd expect to not see any controllers.Can you point me in the direction of any documentation on how the software actually works? Something like an RFC would be great :-). I'm particularly interested in how the list of online controllers is filtered to only show ones in the immediate neighbourhood.Andr…

There was a post about this in the old forum and with that being closed I thought I would continue it here. Lets us know how the update of the CSL aircraft are going because I'm looking foward to it and before I was not trying to put pressure on you guys by saying hey hurry up becuase I had no idea you were even planning on updating the CSL aircraft and I was just asking if you were.. which I now know.
