Hi everyone. SB worked fine for me for ages. Now all of a sudden it crashes every time i try to start it up. It happens after i pass through the MP connect box. Before it loads the splash screen, it crashes with a user32.dll error. Then the HostSB screen freezes inside FS2K2 and i cant move or hide it. All i can do is close FS2K2 and try again.This does not happen when i start SB using the SB Host program that comes with it. But i like HostSB so i do not have to switch out of Full screen to use SB. This has never happened before. I do not know why its happening now all of a sudden.Could this be a graphics problem, or an SB problem? I reinstalled FS2K2 and SB and it still…

Hi ! I'm trying to figure out what happened to the real-world weather with squawkbox. I'm pretty sure that normally it updates FS2002 weather with real-world one but since a while it doesn't work anymore.I have the latest FSUIPC and the option "ignore real-world weather" is NOT checked... any suggestions ?Thanks !Andr

I am having problems using RW with SB and MSFS 2002. I can transmit fie as long as I have Flight Sim paused or have "task switched" out of the program. If I attempt to transmit while Flight Sim is running, I get a horrible squelch or static noise. Any ideas? Please e-mail your responses to [email protected] for your help in advance!!Mike McCullough

First Squawkbox was running ok under XP, then now all of the sudden, when I try to connect to the server, I get the Windows XP error message! Why??? why is it doing this? It never did it before and now all of the sudden it's doing this.Please help me outThanks a lot!

you know what I mean - that text scroll across your screen every time there is a communication between controller and pilot?? How do you shut the damn thing?? I use voice, so I don't want to see it. Besides, it slows down the framerates. If I write click on it and say close, it just pops right back up again, at the next comms.RegardsSSunil Mulay

I see the new FSUIPC 2.86 has support for external programs to add aircraft to its TCAS tables for use in TCAS gauges in aircraft (e.g., DF 737, PSS A320, etc.).Are the SB developers going to make use of this capability to add the aircraft SB knows about to FSUIPC's TCAS tables? Hopefully! Then we can see SB traffic on our aircraft's own TCAS gauges.Lee Hetherington (KBOS)

I am having problems connecting to vatsim. It appears to be a network issue as my sytems at home are on a network using windows xp with the firewall disabled and zonealarm as my firewall. I am able to connect to sb and with PC I get as far as the new login box. Any ideas pls Steve

recently I've noticed that when on the ground, the temperature "sticks" at 0 degrees. Anyone know why this is happening? As far as I know, I have the latest FSUIPC module. Has there been some trouble with the weather servers? Once, I takeoff, I seem to get more realistic temperatures, but then again, maybe it's basing the temperature on a 0 degrees at ground level? Anyone who can help, FS2000 allows you to type messages and change controller frequencies in the ATC directory, while flying and in full control of the aircraft; whereas in FS2002 I haven't yet worked out a way to replicate that FS2000 facility.I have, of course, un-checked the "pause on task switch" box in Options - Settings but to no avail. If I want to 'un-pause'the flight, the SB window is automatically minimized; if I maximize the SB window to communicate with ATC, the flight is automatically paused.This is a crippling deficiency of realism and regretfully rules out - for me, at least, - an otherwise attractive FS programme for on-line flying.It may be, of course, th…

Hi, I am also new to VATSIM and since with friends we are establishing Slovenia vACC I am curious about ProController. Are there any GOOD manuals to work with it since I see there are some codes You need to enter (.msg, .atis...)? I try to connect but mainly without success even I use LJU-OBS callsign, Observer as rating, and I would like to be observer. Not that there is really a need for one as the current build of PC is fine. But, I was just wond'rin if there are/going to be any other controller clients available?I think the guy at simclients have done a fantastic job with PC as it is now though, no discredit to them AT ALL!One other question which im sure must have been asked before but here goes anyway :D, I would love to be able to create my own sector files for different facilities. I seem to be having a bit of difficulty with the CSL in SB. I see other players, but their models are my own. I thought that the CSL would eliminate that. HelloI have always flown with Vatsim. Occassionaly when I use Whazzup to see who's online, I find almost no traffic in the Europe area for Satserv but loads of ATC and pilots under IVAO. My question is: what are the practical differnces between using IVAO and using VATSIM? I always use voice, and would not like to have to type anything? Two questions folks:1. At Frankfurt this evening (where I received superb ATC on the way out), I overheard TWR instructing several landed aircraft to follow Follow ME truck. Now, how does that work??? Do they have a special program that installs a truck on your computer across the network, or are they just play-acting??2. Someone in this forum said you could change controllers in Squawkbox simply by putting in the right frequency through in the radio from within the cockpit in FS. I tried that, but it didn't work. It certainly didn't automatically connect the controllers voice IP in RW. Is there a way to do this, so you don't have to ALT TAB out to SB and change controlle…

Once I'm in the aircraft on the ground, I go to Flights then Multiplayer and then Connect. Sometimes I actually get to go to the next screen, but sometime before it gets to the "Click Here to Join the Action" page, I get a Microsoft error and MSFS shuts down. Typically things are pretty messed up from that point and a restart is required. My system is stable otherwise and this is the only problem I have with MSFS. My system is PIII 933 running ME.
