I am having probs "When" ..after SB is up and runninig, and I want to access drop down menu or FMS or TCAS..the sim pauses.. And when I am done doing what i need to do, I have to hit pause to resume the program, it should not do this ..it should continue to run as did other versions of SB. { find this annoying.Any fixes..is this XP related? I would like to get this prob solved so as Imay get set up for Voice!Any help appreciatedMBWZA

Hi folks,Just recently took the plunge and setup my laptop as a second computer using WideFS. I'm using FS2002, SB for 2002, the latest WideFS and FSUIPC. I've installed Wide Server on my main PC and Wide Client on my Laptop. Setup SB, FSMETEO, etc on my laptop. Made the WideFSVer=3 entry in the SB ini file. Everything works fine with the following two exceptions which I'm hoping someone can help me with.1. No SB Sounds (Message Alert, TCAS). Sounds are turned on in the options. This is a note for controllers who might wish to use the feature of the new ServInfo version (1.32) that allows them to hide lines of their ATIS from ServInfo users, by preceding the line with a $ character.Besides hiding the ATIS line on the ATC Details Window, this feature is supposed to also disable the "join" button and remove the RW server and channel info from this window. Hey gang,I just landed at Newark after a SB flight. Since New York was uncontrolled at the time, I chose to land on 22L since the wind indicator in FS2002 (you know, you press CTRL-z enough times) said "190 @ 7" ish. Well, others in the area were using 4L for takeoff, and that got me wondering if something was wrong. So, I go to SB's TCAS display, and the wind indicator on it says "010 @ 9" ish, obviously 180 degrees from where I was heading.Anyways, which was right? I've prefixed the aircraft titles in the CSL List with "CSL -", for easy identification. HiI've been investigating the AUTOATIS function that I have seen lately, preferably when I've been flying in North America. I understand how you can retrieve the ATIS message both as a controller and as a pilot. Mainly through the very good explanation given by Ian Elchitz in this forum.But how do you, as a controller, actually set/record/initialize this AUTOATIS message??? It doesn't say in any of the PC mannuals I've looked in. Nor anything on this forum. A serch on the Net gives zip. Somebody must know how to do this! I'm looking to add helos into the CSL. I thought I had figured it out but it didn't work. Here's what's been done so far:-found suitable FS98 aircraft for the model-placed the model and texture folders into the CSL aircraft folder in FS2002 and renamed appropriately-modified the excel file to point to the new helo-modified the aircraft.cfg in the CSL aircraft folder to add the helo (which did show up in the aircraft menu in FS)-made sure all of the names matched in the excel file, and the various folders-had online test, making sure the SB flightplan chose the correct type of aircraft designation that I had entered into the excel fileStill can't get it to work. Hello,I have just passed the student exam on Vastim and was entitled to open a TWR. Hovewer my problem is that although I can login as an observer without a problem and see the traffic, when I tried to log on as xxxx_v_twr, rating STU1 and facility type Tower, I get disconnected everytime with error code "0054" and it says I have invalid CID/PW.With my ATC insturctor we went through login page and the data I enter is correct, furthermore, my ATC instructor and mentor can login by using my account details from thier PC's. How many waypoints are there available per *.sb file ? I manually entered all(! ca.40) waypoints for Vienna(LOWW) - Osaka (RJBB), saved it and when I wanted to reopen the file another day all I got was something like : "Too many waypoints, please enter manually" ... so everything again?? I was getting my waypoints out of www.pmflightplanner.com which is quite good for finding out the WPs of airroutes.Is there an easy way to import a source text file (in the format like KOGOL-UM11-SBG-U608) into the SB-FMS.. Hi guys! A question about VATSIM/SB real world weather - does it accurately simulated winds aloft? The reason why I ask this is because I fly transpacific flights occassionally, and only recently got the PACOTS tracks. I installed pro-controller 2.2 but when I try to connect to one of the Vatsim servers, I get connected but have no traffic whatsoever on my screen (f.e. egll sector) while at least 7 pilots are in the sector. I use my vat id and pw. What am I doing wrong ?Smalco

I use SB on a laptop networked to my system have not had any problems till last week. OK Sunday morning I set all the clocks back one hour DST now my problem is that SB shows the wrong time all my computers show 6:00pm 0000Zulu and SB in the TCAS and flightplan it shows 23:00 zulu, did I forget something with SB? Real strange!

When I start looking for games in SB 2.3.5, it shows the message "looking for games" but it never finds anything, I then press cancel and I get the screen where you "join the action" and I'm able to start SB at that point. Is it normal to not find any games and to start SB by pressing cancel?PS: I have a similar problem with AIBRIDGE, only difference is that it never finds a game and the program closes when I press cancel.

I run fs2002 full-screen with Win98. Quite often when flying with SB and RW on Vatsim, if I am told to contact a different controller, and for whatever reason RW cannot connect to the server that is identified, my computer will freeze and requires a complete shutoff and re-boot.I think I know part of the problem. RW has a popup box when it cannot connect to a server. Because I am running in full-screen mode, I cannot switch to the RW popup box to close it. If I try alt-tab to get to windows mode everything freezes, as does ctrl-enter.Does anyone know a way around this? Perhaps a special keyboard combination (not alt-tab) that will "unfreeze" the computer or otherwise …

OK, I am creating a sector for ASRC from scratch. I need to know if there are any gurus out there who can tell me how to extract a shoreline for a lake. If any choose to give me an assist would be grateful.I am looking to create a fairly detailed shoreline. I believe I could get this data from a BGL file in FS. Would that be a correct assumption?I was surprised that I could not find the data in the DAFIF file.Also, does anyone know where I can find the real world TRACON boundaries? Just started to use SB with FS2k2 but haven't connected to anyone yet. I noticed that if someone doesn't choose the aircraft in the flight plan window of SB then the default aircraft it chooses to show on your screen is that of your own. Is their a way to change that? Having 10 or more Dreamfleet or Wilco aircaft on the screen at one time cane be an extreme frame rate killer. Thanks.
