I need help when flying online with SQ 2.3 beta following problem shows up:first i get the text message in SB :warning invalid source in pocketShortly after this message SB disconnects When I want to reconnect SB refuses to do so resp. the same message appears again.I have to run down the PC and then I get the messages :either the message: windows says SIPPS.exe and ask for shut downor it says : socket notification sink and asks to shut down this sometimes I get the message : debug resp. execute debugger.can anybody help me with this problem ?Is it a known problem and what is the solution ? I am almost there. I have gotten to the point where I can now connect to the server. I have sent my flight plan and have everything up and running but when I push o.k. in the "connect to PC/SB server" window and try to connect I get an error message saying "the attempt to connect was forcefully rejected" and "your callsign was not found! you must log in on a VATSIM server before joining a voice server!"I have checked my call sign and it seems to be the same everwhere I can enter a call sign - LH401.

I am trying to edit my FS9.cfg file to add the additional lines for SB relay. My problem is that my computer does not recognise the file and thus I can not open it to edit it. Do I need to download special sofware for this or should I open it with some existing program on my computer? Thanks for the help!!!

After installing the FS9.1 update I was finally able to hook up all the pieces to fly VATSIM. I can do everything, voice and all, and after connecting to VATSIM, SB adds all the other traffic to the MP session. After a minute or so, all of the other aircraft are removed from the session. I can still talk to controllers and am visible on VATSIM, but any other traffic is gone. The only way to reset this is to restart SB and reconnect to VATSIM, but it only lasts another minute.I'm stumped! :-hmmm Anyone have good ideas?ThanksMariano Buitrago

ok here it is, fs9, win xp sp2, ms new update. clean install of all software. I can connect i see others, controllers see me, but i can not select what plane i am flying when you file your flight plan at the top the list is blank. I get 2 errors icao.dat-could not open file and error you are missing the file csl_icao.csvwell both of those are located inside the squawkbox folder and i do have a csl folder in my fs9 aircraft folder. I have the latest fsupic and sbhost and sbrelay, just can't select what plane i am flying. Please help this is day 3 now and i have tried everything

Hi all,Ever since I've installed WinXP Home SP2 (about 3 days ago), I've had this issue. Whenever I open SBRelay and SB 2.3 for FS9 and connect to VATSIM, I connect just fine. However, after about 30 seconds, I get a message in FS saying "SquawkBox has left the server..." and all of the aircraft around me disappear. Apparently I'm still connected to VATSIM because controllers can still see me but after that first 30 seconds, I can no longer see any other traffic (which is getting to be quite annoying). I've just reinstalled DirectX with no apparent affect. Can anyone please help me?

Hiya,I just finished installing everything from the 'all in one' file that I got from vatsim, and I am having problems running Squawkbox. It keeps saying 'this prgram has generated errors and will be closed by windows'. It did work once, but when I went to connect to the VATSIM server I was 'forcefully rejected' what does this mean? I have gone through the installation again and still have the same problems. Any help much appreciated!Cheersrich

I've been flying online for a few months now and this happens to me often: I connect in the correct order and I get logged onto everything. I then connect to SB (after it error reports and shuts down the first time). I finally get connected to SB and if I minimize my screen back to the desktop, it won't let me maximize FS2004 again and ends up being just a black screen behind SB, and eventually I end up having to CTL ALT DEL to shut it down. Hi folks,I'm running SB and all those good programs on my computer, which is on a college network. As a result of being on the network, Windows autoupdate is on (I have Windows XP Pro, service pack 1), plus I have a McAfee agent running. The ICF is disabled to the best of my knowledge (going to network connections from the control panel, it says its off).Now, everything was fine during most of September, then starting roughly half way through the month, I would run SB, and when I right-clicked and connected, it would give me the message saying WSATimedOut, and that a connection couldnt be established.Any thoughts? Hello all,I am having an issue with squawkbox telling me it has expired when I run it, and wont let me connect.I have been fine for a month or two.Any suggestions??

:-wave To whoever can assist me, I just installed the latest version of Squawkbox as well as SBRelay 1.2 as I have Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. The problem is I cannot get Squawkbox to connect. I fireup FS2004, enable multiplayer session, start SBRelay to make sure the servers are responding, then I startup Squawkbox and all I get is "squawkbox has a problem and must close..." or something like that. I do not know what to do. I disabled my Trend Micro Firewall and went back to the Windows Firewall but Squawkbox still will not work. Any suggestions? I would be most appreciative. I HAVE WINDOWS XP SP2. I wonder if this is causing a problem?

Hello to all. I am having CSL issues.The problem is that I only see the plane I'm in when looking at other planes. I don't think that I have the CSL files installed correctly and the thing is that there aren't really any good docs the explain it. I went to the site to download the files and set it up correctly but the site says that the csl files are for 2002 only, so my bigest question is, are there 2004 flies or can I use the csl flies that the site has and just place them in my 2004 aircraft folder.The second option I was thinking of doing was using my PAI but the read me flie doesn't make sense, like for instance, what is VIP2? and secondly I don't get the following d…

I have just upgraded my PC and decided to buy an AMB 64 bit 2800+ CPU.I have also installed Windows XP and SP2 with it.The problem is, although the setup program runs and completes, it fails to add the links in start/programs menu.Any incompatibility issue of Squawkbox with AMD 64 CPU's or Win XP sp2?How can I rectify this problem and have SB up and running?Your help is appreciatedCheersMusashi

I'm getting the "Invalid callsign or password" error message when trying to connect to the Vatsim network. I'm assuming the proper password is the one for my Vatsim PRC account, and that the registration number is my Vatsim ID number.Any suggestions?Thanks in advanceBruce Beattie

New and weird problem for the past two days - flying from LFMN (Nice) to LSZH (Zurich) online, using SB with SBRelay, FS9 has crashed on me, more or less in the same spot about 2/3 on my way. Hi,Every time I try to start SB it searches for, and finds my session but when I click on join it take ages doing nothing and then a message appears stating 'Unable to Join Game'.I have windows XP Home, SBRelay, SB.I have been using the VATSIM PRC Manual and have installed everything as they have stated.If I press the cancel button then SB starts but I then cannot see anybody near me, even at a busy airport I can talk to them (AVC) and they can see me, but I can't see them!Any suggestionsThanksRuss

Hello guys,I have spotted a system anomaly when I fly online, I hope someone has a solution for it :-)Here is the problem:When I fly offline, everything is smooth, ~37-40 FPS steady with no stuttering.When I connect to Vatsim (NO Multiplayer) the FPS remain steady at this level (37-40) but the sim pauses for miliseconds every 5-10 seconds.I tried connecting to all Vatsim servers and the problem still exists. Hello,I use a simple dial-up connection/ modem for the Internet. While, a couple of weeks ago everything worked fine, suddenly FS9 refuses to see "sbrelay-FS2004" session, unless I am offline.
