Hey all,I'm using SB and SBRelay with FS9 and a dialup internet connection. When I connect SBRelay it shows that all servers are setup and such, then I try to connect FS9 to that, but when I open multiplayer no sessions show up...How can I solve this?? It used to work fine with COMCAST Cable, but are there some settings I should change???Thanks,MarcMarc Gibson

Hey Folks,I use the ServInfo gauge with Squawkbox and AVC and find it very useful (thanks so much to the author). I noticed last night that when I use it to switch away from a voice-enabled channel to a non-voice enabled channel, AVC stays on the previous channel (I suppose because there is no good voice channel to switch AVC to). In the middle of a hectic landing last night, I used ServInfo to switch from Approach (with voice) to Tower (text only) and didn't have time to manually go over to AVC and disconnect the Approach voice channel. Not a biggie, but I kept hearing the Approach control until I was safely on the ground and switched it off. Also (although my fault)…

Hi guys,I got a question, why can't you select a Tupolev or a Antonov in the drop down menu when you file a flightplan in Squawkbox?The most uncommon and rare planes in the world are listed.........but one of the oldest manufacturers of the world the Tupolev company and Antonov aren't listed????? :-eekWhen I fly the russians I always pick a similiar plane like for a TU-134 a MD80, and put in the remark //TU-134A!!Anyone a solution?:-waveEvert

I want to fly with VATSIMi do everything right i start the SBrealy 1.2 and the FS2004!and when i enter the Squawkbox i do everything and when i arrive to the picture with the Olimpic i press the gray button and then in the SBrealy it said that Squawkbox has enter but nothing happen!i install the SB host.dlland i open it in the FS and nothing happen!Please Help Me!!Thanks!I have version 2.3Erez

I've follow all the instruction on vatsim (ivao is the same) also I can see the csl folder in aircraft folder, BUT when I connect in multiplayer the controller see me, BUT I cannot see the other aircraft!!!Please HELP ME!!!Andy

Hi,Ever since i installed Microsofts Combat Flight Simulator 3 along with DirectX 9, i have not used SB, not until today when i finally got my hands on FS9. I have made sure that i have read everything that i needed to read to use SB again, only this time with FS9. I've gone thru guides, tutorials, posts here at AVSIM and made sure i downloaded everything.Anywayz...Everything was goinng fine until i ran SB. It got to the 'find game' section and did not find any, it just stayed there searching.. no error messages no nothing!! Hi~I installed SB 2002 with FSPCUI 3.129 version on my computerFirst, I open up SBRelay, then Multiplayer's Join in FS2004, then open SB Host, then SquawkBox to open the little window and when it wants us to search the networkWhen I press "Search"....The computer went down right away like if there is a power shortage!I tried many times, but it is still the problem for me. everytime i connect to squakbox it says connected to private server, is it supposed to say that? After it connects when i see where i am on servinfo it always shows me in Africa, any idea why? Also i never see any other aircraft. Any information on this will help since i'm running out of things to try. Thank You.

Hi, I tried using Squawk Box V3.02 for Fly!II for the first time this morning and I can get connected without difficulty (to IVAO today). But when I come to send a flight plan, I get a message back from the server saying 'multicasting not allowed'. Then it tells me to file a flight plan and each time I try I get the same error message. Is there any configuration file I can change to prevent this error or is it a known problem with this VERY NEW version of Squawk Box. i was wondering if is it just me or is the SB and online flying falling apart. i remember when i first joined the online flying community five years ago as SATCO. i don't mean anything bad but it looks like it's the same amount of people that were members five years ago. I remember the monday flying at around the northeastern with New York Center and Washington. I don't think it's the fact that Microsoft included Traffic Control, because it is nothing compared to the real thing online flying provides.Let Me Here Some Comments.Best Regards Adib Afraj

I think a time back (FS2002) I was able to ignore squawkbox weather for the sake of FS weather (I mean the dowloaded "real" one..) in order to see rain etc.Now with FS2004 I have never seen rain dropping when in VATSIM. I cannot recall how I should act to see rain or snowing.. or is it somewhere in the fs9 settings. Advice please.Petteri PulkkinenVihti, Finland

First, I hope this is the right forum for this question.Has anyone had any success running roger wilco on a laptop while flying FS2002/4 on another PC? The reason why I'm asking is because I want to run Roger Wilco on a different PC then the flight sim so I can free up some CPU and make communications cleaner on RW. I use serverinfo and can log onto some ATC but not all. Some "join" buttons are not available for many ATC. So I guess my real question is, do the two PC's need to be networked? or is there a way to hear all ATC w/RW on Serverinfo?Presario

Hello All,I finally got SB to work with FS9, and got on line, big problem is:a. when I go to put a vor or xing into the fmc to create or add to a flightplan, it tells me I have no data.b. It also tells me I have no cls? files or it can't find them, hence everyone's aircraft looks like mine . . .and that is ok, presently if I can solve the data problem..LOLI installed SB and its files in program files/sb, and them even moved them to fs9, nothing seems to make a difference.I started off with SATCO many years ago, but only flew with vatsim for a few months before I gave up on line because of a bad phone connection and lack of dsl . . and that was with fs98 WHAT AM I DOING…

Every time I connect Squawkbox to a VATSIM server, game performance drops to almost 0. When I take a look at the task-manager, squawkbox.exe uses 100% of my CPU. When I disconnect, the problem immediately disappears again.. I'm using SB 2.3 with FS2004 and SBRelay on an up to date system..Does anyone also have this problem or can anyone help me out??

Sometimes, when I try to load SB after running SBRelay, then doing multiplayer, then doing SBHost then trying to run SB it begins to load but then as soon as I hit the join button to join multiplayer session I get the "squawkbox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." error.Here is what the error signature says:AppName: squawkbox.exe AppVer: 2.3.0.5 ModName: user32.dllModVer: 5.1.2600.1106 Offset: 0000d20dNow, what I did last night was I thought maybe I had a bad version of SB so I re-downloaded it and tried to re-install. I installed the version for FS2002 and it worked fine. Now when I try it again the problem re-occurs…

Can someone tell me how to use the SB tcas guage in flight sim 2002. From what I have read it appears as though I should be able to import the guage into my panel, although I haven't been able to figure out how. My guess would have been that there is a guage installation program similar to the serveinfo guage installer...but I can't find one.Any help is much appreciated,Thanks,-alex

As a someone who used to fly online on VATSIM regularly back in the FS2000 days I have done so less and less due to the increasing complexity of trying to use the SB program from within FS2002/4. I'd dearly love to get my Father up online but frankly the whole squawkbox thing is so complex (witness the postings here) that I know he'd never be able to open it let alone use it!I think I've been waiting about 4 years for the original squawkbox code to be re-written and progress on that has been slow, some would say non-existent until quite recently due to the other commitments its developers have had.Until now, there was no alternative, but soon, thank heavens there will be…

I have just signed up at VATSIM and downloaded the all the required files. Installed SBRelay, SBhost, squawkbox. Followed all instructions at least to my knowledge to the letter. Here are my results! Having trouble online. Everything hooks up ok, but I do not see any planes. I am getting an error opening ICAO.DAT when logging on, could this be it. What does it do and how can I fix it. Does this file have anything to do with RWRon

I was flying succesfully in vatsim before, but after a lockup caused by, i think, sb, I had to restart winxp and do a system restore, i couldn't start flying in vatsim again. After i start sb relay12 i get the following line "Error 0x80004001 creating 2004 address for TCP/IP". What is wrong? What should i do?Thanks Petteri Pulkkinen
