Hi All,Having bought PIC after reading this news group, I was dying to try it out myself. Unfortunately some problems:1: PIC was installed under Win2K, fresh install on a new drive2: Full install of Win2K Service pack 23: DirectX 8.14: FS2002 full install5: PIC from the CD6: Patch 1.0 to 1.2When I start PIC, I get the quicktips window. Soon as I click on anything, FS dies. I tried unistall/reinstall several times. Same scenario. Then, I loaded a different aircraft, selected PIC menu (hoping to disable QuickTips). Again, soon as I click on anything in the PIC windows, FS crashes hard. So, a couple of question:1: How do I disable QuickTips without going through the menu optio…

All:The 757 repaint and sound package has been uploaded to Avsim and should be available shortly.* If you have downloaded the ENTIRE file before, please download the texture patch from www.toussaintonline.net. These are the TEXTURES ONLY and not the entire aircraft / sounds / panel.cfg. Simply replace the textures in your texture folder.*If you are using narrowband (dial-up) and don't want to download a 24MB file then simply download the textures, panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg from www.toussaintonline.net. Download one of the IFDG 757-200's available here and simply copy the textures, panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg to the appropriate directories. *PLEASE don't upload the file…

For some reason, the approach files aren't giving the FMC the right info on where it's ending the flight and landing - as a result, VNAV profile info is not being calculated by the FMC.This is using the new FPE 2.34 with Richard's AIRAC 206.Here's exactly what I did to test this on the very basic KTUS-KPHX route:Here are the files I made:A DP file, the KTUS TUS6, consisting of the TUS VOR.A DP transition file, TUS6.SUNSS, containing the fix SUNSSA STAR file, the KPHX SUNSS4, containing the fix SUNSS with a 250/12000 restriction on it, and the fix HOOPS.An IAP file for the ILS26 containing the fixes JAGAL and PRUNN, the runway, and the missed approach fix AVENT with a 210/…

I remember in FS2000 with the PIC you could practice failures and your co-pilot would read out the emergency checklist and you would fly the aircraft.I can't find this feature in FS2002, is it there? Thanks,

Any help will be appricated. When opening PIC in my 2k2 as soon as the panel show the computer locks up. I can reboot and some time it will start working. This even happens if you place the panel into opensky or a 757. Thanks.:-hmmm

I'd like to invite you all to make use of the KPHX procedures I uploaded yesterday and join us in the Alburquerque ARTCC tonight! Though our featured airports tonight are KSAF and KFLG, the whole center will be staffed including both E and W centers, and Phoenix Approach, the latter by yours truly with my newly acquired voice rating... ;) Hopfully some of our newer students will open twr and gnd at KPHX along with me.If you'd like a specific route, post in this thread and I'll check it periodically and give you a flightplan. Thanks!RyanZAB ARTCC

My panel is having issues during MP use. All my warning and caution lights are illuminated from the time another person is connected via MP until about the time I apply TO thrust. Also, one of the knobs on the clock is constantly switching position, back and forth. Even with the realistic align time for the IRS set, the IRS will align instantly. One more thing is that the FMC is messed up in that I can't enter much data to it. All of these things work perfectly if i'm not connected to MP, my entire panel works flawlessly. Has anyone else come across this or something similar when you connect to multiplayer? For some reason I vaguely recall reading that this panel c…

Hi all:For those of you not getting a view outside of the panel. Copy your entire PIC 767 panel including the panel.cfg and overwrite the panel.cfg included in the download. This should take care of the problem for now. I made a boo boo and did not include some 757 side panel pictures in the download. I will upload a fix to www.toussaintonline.net shortly.Otherise this will fix the problem for now.SORRY!!!!Mike T.

I am one of those who has had occasional problems with sticky rudders and elevators. I have doiwnloaded and installed the latest version of fsuipc 2.87 and well it did wonders for the rudder. Unfortunately it did nothing for the elevator, I tried a takeoff at night for KORD and went nose up too high, stalled and crashed. Please note I always trim correctly...and never have this problem under most circumstances. The ONLY thing that works in these situations is turning AI traffic off, in fact it worked before the latest version of fsuipc for the rudder too. wheneever there is too much AI traffic at certain busy airports I get the problems with the rudder and elevators. Stra…

I've deceided to re-install the PIC767. Does it have TCAS and how do I merge it with the posky 767? Also, becuase I don't think it has a load edit, how do you control the ZFW?Many Thanks,

Found this posting on the PPRuNe websitehttp://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.ph...&threadid=57519It applies to the 757, but it would be interesting to know how the 767 guys would handle this.Would Flap 20 give you better ground clearance on touchdown, thus giving you more margin for error in roll control? Or would your engine hit first anyway? When you slow down, however, eventually you're going to tip over and your engine/flaps are going to hit terra firma. This raises the question... how do you slow down. If you use the brakes on one side, you're going to slew off the runway anyway (or will the rudder and nose wheel steering compensate up to a point?)Cheers.Ian.P.…

I've just uploaded my brand new set of files for KPHX to both http://www.seaartcc.org/767pic/weps and http://www.navdata.at, they'll also be availiable shortly at the VATSIM Albuquerque ARTCC site...I'm especially proud of this file set as it simulates nearly all of the runway specific DP differences as well as correctly flying the published missed approaches. All of the brand new RNAV procedures are included and we encourage their use online! There is now NO EXCUSE for PIC'ers to not fly to or from Phoenix on a regular basis on VATSIM to give us ATC some heavies to deal with!!RyanVATSIM ZAB ARTCCwww.vzab.org
