Hi again,I've searched through many threads talking about Derated Takeoff Power... and while the discussions are terribly interesting, I havn't seen any sort of formula or reference sheet that gives details on how to select an appropriate D-TO power. If I missed something in the threads, apologies... but, if anyone could point me in the right direction for this, that would be awesome and a half. Thanks much!

Is there any charts available that gives take off distance, take off max N1 possible depending on temperature? Then are the speeds for flap retraction different depending on temperature as well?Has temperature an effect on take off speed, or simply on take off roll distance?Regards,Francois

Just thought you'd like to know. No doubt WILCO wants to capitalize on the success of 767PIC by using a similar name and calling this the "Pilot in Command" series. We, (Eric, Laurent, Pedro and I) have nothing to do with the project, know nothing about it, and wish to ensure that we are not mistakenly associated with the product.Regards,Wade

Howdy gentlemen...Ok, I follow my checklists, and get all ready for a flight. Throttles to 70, N1, etc... on the climbout though, I seem to get sporadic behavior of the flap retraction schedule. It seems that the first time I loaded the plane, I had little -F indicators on the climbout along the speed tape on the Pegasus indicating when to pull up the next notch of flaps. Maybe that was just me fantasizing, and I know the -F appears on descent for approach, but I'm sure I saw it on departure once at least. Are there supposed to be cues for flap retraction on the speed tape? Or do I specifically reference the speed bugs on the ASI?As I normally depart on longer runways, I'm …

my plane gets eratic at full till of elevators. when i pull it all the way it climbs then it freaks out and starts to go up and down. same thing happens when i push it all the way in for a descent. it seems like the elevator limits need to be adjusted but that did not help. i am running p3 866 512ram geeforce3. it use to work fine but now it doesn't. hard to do landings and climbs. It noticable on the controls status window.[/li]

hey there guy's!! Well I am looking foe SIDS for Honolulu Intl! I dowloaded the ones at the PIC FMC Database site before they changed the Web site, and those SIDS did not work at all!Someone told me to Open up the SIDS Files in notepad and put a "," at the end of each line that was missing it! But still does not work! I see the SID names on the FMC but upon selecting them it does not show Transitions at all!! The STARS database works fine! Just the SIDS for the life of me cannot get to work correctly and i have to input all the waypoints for the SID manually!! So Does anyone have these SIDS For PHNL?? I would really apprecite it as it is very dissapointing that these SIDS…

I've got a weird problem. When I fix the the problem which the caution message on the EICAS describes, only a part of the text dissapears. And if another caution appears, the text might overwrite the old "half" text. The text is pretty unreadable too. I'm running 1024x768 resolution...

Hi folks,First, PIC's failure modeling is awesome, but I still feel limited. Here's what I mean; With an option of "no failures" in the PIC menu, I/we can fly and be comfortable that nothing (systematically) in this flight can go wrong and can leave the house or take a nap. If any failures are defined, then we will always be alert for very failures. What I wish for is a normal damages option of failures. This way, we "pilots" will have to look after our planes like real pilots do when they fly. With the "no failures" options we can fly abusively and not worry, but with the failures defined we will be looking for that specially defined failure. The mode suggested should be, …

I'm using the POSKY/PIC merge, FSUIPC 2.83 and standard sidewinder FF win XP drivers.Anyways, on two of my last three flights online, the 767 suddenly stalled on cruise and crashed. It all happens very fast..like an unrealistic stall. I managed to get the aircraft leveled at 18000ft last time... I was then stalling from 36000ft.Another thing is that my thottles were very weak last time I flew..I stalled all the way to climb even though I tried to give full power manually...they just wouldn't give it.Please help me if there are any sollutions.By the way, when merging, I only need to do the merging process once, and then just add multiple model and texture folders? I notice…

i know this has already been posted somewhere. i have problems importing flight plans from the MS2002 flight planner. it used to work fine with fs2000. i have read you have to change the extension on the flight plans created by 2002 flt planner or something like that to make it work. is there a permanent solution out for this yet. hasn't wilco created a fix for this. if not, why haven't they. why should we have to fix their mistakes?

Hi,After receiving the update, it bothered me that the rudder would flutter with the Yaw Dampers OFF airborne. Turning the Yaw Dampers ON would fixed the problem but killed the rudder in the air. I found the a rudder_effectiveness=24.0 fixes the problem. Following are three screenshots of a V1 cut evolution. Screenshot#1Aircraft has an engine 2 failure just past V1 (Actually ,I cut the fuel). Notice the rudder maintaining the aircraft on the centerline. This used to be impossible.Screenshot #2While maintaining the same rudder input, there is the rotation and gear up at positive rate. I am capable of maintaining heading with rudder control. On the climb out I switch to the…

I'm trying something a little different...I've put the 767 PIC FDE with a FFG 757. I adjusted the fuel capacity...I was just looking for some suggestions as to what to change the fuel flow scalar to. Do the 767 and 757 burn fuel the same? The 767 is heavier and requires more fuel, but do they burn at the same rate? Would appreciate any suggestions or tips...Tim

Anyone can test this, please? When I press the N1/EPR button at takeoff, thrust setting does not match the green reference thrust number over N1 on the upper EICAS, but it's higher. If the number is, for istance, 107.6, the thrust stabilizes at 108.5 (thus about 0.9% higher). This happens either I use EEC or not. If I de-select "A/T inhibits manual throttle" on the PIC menu, that number is slightly lower. No joystick used. Why??If I press CLB or CRZ or CON on the Thrust rating panel, the respective reference thrust is respected.I'd be glad if you could reply after testing that issue on the sim and tell me the results. Thanks,Luca
