I found this amazing photo at airliners.net, taken from the captain's perspective, landing at Washington Dulles.... I think it show's why it's appropriate to use a landing view with PIC767. Enjoy the photograph!http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=2449...D%3D&static=yesRegards,Phil

Now the challenging part for me... ADDING THE GAUGES!!! Do not ask me for files... this is copyrighted material, and I would need to get permission before putting these files on line!!!Regards,Phil

PIC pretty much stole the show at the VATSIM Convention that just concluded in Toronto. Haroon Anwar had the 767 Pilot in Command up and running for the full duration with several willing PIC pilots taking turns standing in. Not only did PIC steal the show, but we had great representation from the forum there as well. I had a fantistic time in Toronto and want to thank my Canadian hosts, particularly Rob Hall, for a very fun filled 3 days. So I am safely back at home now and need to sleep for the next two days straight.THANKS!

Hi guys, I'm normally a B744 buff, but a few days with PiC, and I'm beginning to LOVE the B767 (it's a boeing, isn't it? :) ) I'm wondering if any one has any operation manuals for FS so I can fly it realistically? thanks,http://www.mydestiny.net/~michael8/genavbanner.gif

Hi Guys, I recently did a fresh installation of 767PiC with the FS2k2 patch in my PC. Great plane, great panel. Just 2 questions:1. Why don't I get the GPWS callouts even if I have them selected in the menu?2. The A/T seems the have difficulty managing the speed on finals?help much appreciated.thanks,http://www.mydestiny.net/~michael8/genavbanner.gif

How do I turn on the cockpit flood lighting? If I hit the "L" key they come on for a second. Or is this a flaw in the program? I've tried different key combinations but nothing seems to work.

OK i am about to pull my hair out. No matter what plane you merge with 767 PIC you CANNOT reach full power. it always caps out in the 90's for N1%. It is supposed to reach up to 107%. why not? can anyone answer this without getting into any technical jargon. it would be much appreciated if anyone knows a fix to this.

Hi,I am new to this forum and I am interested to buy PIC767.My first question is, what screen resolution do I need to be able really to see the panels correctly. I run a flatscreen at 1280x1024.Is this high enough? And secondly, does anybody now when the A320 PIC is scheduled for release? Thanks very much for the help.RegardsJJohn

Has anyone else noticed that the PIC engines seem to be underpowered for break-away thrust (the thrust it takes to get the airplane rolling from a dead stop)? When I start my taxi after the push, N1 reaches about 60% before the wheels start turning. This is a bit unrealistic and often triggers the take-off configuration warning because i don't have flaps set when i start my taxi...but that's beside the point. I don't know what typical break-away thrust is on a 767, but I have jumpseated on a real DC-10 (granted, it's not the same, but it is a heck of a lot heavy and another engine to compensate for that extra weight, at almost 500k lbs, break-away thrust was at idle (a…

I've been away from the forum for awhile. What is the status of PIC767 past the FS2002 patch? Are there additional updates or enhancements in the works, or will PIC remain as it now stands? From reading the formum back a bit, I did see Wade's remark about something new from the PIC team in the works. Have they mentioned it yet and I missed it?Just trying to catch up on things.Take care,Rich BollWichita Kansas

I am finding that the autopilot is tracking the localizer about a quarter of a dot left or right. It seems to track the glideslope just fine. The aircraft packaged with FS2k2 seem to track perfectly. I have tried tweaking the runway headings in the PIC airport database file, but all that seems to do is change the depiction on the EHSI.Any assistance would be appreciated.

I probably haven't researched enough in the threads or in the manuals, but I am having IRU trouble when I start the PIC panel using one of the adventures from the "flights" menu in 2002. During cockpit preparation I get everything else going, but when I try to get the IRU's to align by turning them on, I don't get the NAV and then ALIGN lights. The display is dark no matter what button you push and so I can't get my gyros. The whole IRU panel just isn't working. Oh, some helpful information is I always try to start the flight from the "cockpit preparation situation" in the flights menu. Does anyone have a clue as to what I need to do about this?

Easy for some... but it certainly gave me a headache, Laurent :-)I guess you did use the expression "PIC". As for the real aircraft... things get a little more complicated....1. Bank Limit Selector is only active in HDG SEL mode?: True, they say.2. T/O pitch mode can not be engaged in CMD mode?: True and False... It depends on aircraft option pin programming, FCC type, etc.3. Center A/P is powered by left AC bus?: Yes and (maybe) no. The Center FCC is powered by the Center Bus which is powered by the Left Bus in most phases of flight. During a normal Autoland (Land 3), Bus Isolation takes place. The Center Bus is then powered by the Standby Bus/Static Inverter. However, n…

Anyone out there know a definitive method of changing the lighting files for the new POSKY 767's (from DXT3 to 32 bit) without screwing the lighting up?My 3D card can't display the DXT3 format. I've tried reformatting using IMAGETOOL.exe, and every time I reformat from DXT3 to 32 bit, the lighting doesn't show up at all.......damn frustrating!I won't the dynamic flexing wings, and all the other eye candy (in 32 bit texture format) and I want the lighting but just can't seem to nail it right. In addition to this, I need to ensure that the tail will illuminate at night....although the PIC767 panel doesn't seem to have the appropriate switch for this function when using a POS…

Hey everyoneI have a really quick question. I am about to purchase the PIC 767 , will I need to worry about downloading any patches? I am also running windows XP.Thanks for the help

Hi there, I'm having a problem with the PIC panel and the POSKY 767. The aircraft seems to be a littler unnder powered while using your panel. How so? Well I can only get a max N1 reading of about 98.3. The extra 1.7% does make a huge difference on takeoff. Is there anyway I can fix this problem?http://flightsimmers.net/airport/sstephen8...der%20Flash.jpgScott StephenBAW475

Well Guys,Installed, performed the pre flight, and got my IFR clr from Seattle. And, as I get airborne, on climb out about 3000 MSL, i engage the A/P. Select LNAV to follow the SUMMA5 departure, and I select the 'Hold' ALT button. . . well, nothing happens, oh, I had my A/T on and SPD set to 250 knots. Well, I had to climb the plane by hand, all the way from SEA - LAX. Thats a problem, and I cant seem to figure out why the ALT Hold would not engage.blah, help plz?

with all this talk of TCAS, what would be nice if one could be created for PIC. a lot of TCAS are incorporated into the VSI so in the case of PIC no extra room would be needed in the panel. i sure wish i had the talent to create one

First, Mike has done a truly awesome job on the 757s (I have the AA & CO ones). Visually they are fantasticThe little problem I have is when I go to the 2d panel view I get the lower panel fine, but no upper section or anything out the window. It is a black screen. Kinda nifty IFR trainer but.....I am running FS 2k2, XP with a G2 card. I downloaded the "Panel" file off of Mike's website thinking maybe that would help. Nope.If anyone has an idea.....Timothy(Good thing I can fly instruments eh???)

Now i have tried this in the past using a 757 with the 767PIC. funny things have happened, my plane when all haywire when flying, etc. Is this 757 by Mike totally compatible with the 767 PIC panel. all i have to do is copy the PIC panel into the 757 folder and away i go or is there some monkeying around i have to do?

I enjoy flying the PIC767.Today I likely have 500 PIC flightplans in the flightplan folder on my hardrive. Trouble is, PIC doesn't have a line where you can save the atc route...so when I retrieve a route to fly from point a to b, you can see all the waypoints but not the atc route to file.True, I could go to all 500 of them and reconstruct the atc route and write them down.Anyone have a way to handle this?gdboston

This message is adressed to those among us who love to fly whether it be virtually or in real life. I am adding this post in this forum because I know of the excellent products provided by Wilco and that their customers have an obvious affinity for better standards in their virtual simming. The topic is this. I and a friend have recently decided to embark on a project. Bottom line? We are not happy with the Flight Simulator Series or rather and similar title in the genre available today. We are in the initial stages of building an entirely new platform. My friend is a Computer Engineer and I am a Aerospace Engineer at the Graduate level. We are ceratain that our knowledge w…
