Hi,I am currently flying online from KORD to KMCO, and am having trouble with the autothrottle, it is constantly spooling down then up again. update: Have noticed that the autothrottle problems are occurring when the TAT as recorded on the upper EICAS changes rapidly. When TAT is constant Autothrottle behaves normally I have FSUIPC v 2.87, FSMETEO (VATSIM weather) and I have disabled my joystick throttle assignment.Any help greatly appreciated.Mark

This question is regarding an early post of VNAV fast climb....Normaly I fly from EHAM to EGLL with the 767 PIC, its a short haul and with a low fuelweight.Normally I also hit the VNAV button at a FL of 1000 ft.But when I look at my FMC at the INIT-REF page I see speed for retraction/climb of FLAPS 5-1 at 182 knts FLAPS 1-0 224 knot and climb at 246 knots. With the VNAV speed are 250 knots within minutes with full retrection of the FLAPS at a FL of 2 or 3000 ft.When I see the video of ITVV Boeing 767-300ER of Leisure AirwaysThey fly the SID with LNAV and FLCH and its takes about minimal 15 min in flight at a FL of 6000 to retract all flaps started from 5 degree flaps???? …

Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a sense of humour. Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints by QANTAS pilots and the corrective action recorded by mechanics. By the way, Qantas is the only major airline that has never had an accident. (P stands for the Problem the pilots entered in the log, and S stands for the Corrective Action or Solution taken by the mechanics.) P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.S: Almost replaced left inside main tire. P: Test flight OK, except autoland very rough.S: Autoland not installed on this aircraft. P: Something loose in cockpit.S: Something tightened in cockpit. P: Dead bugs on windshield.S:…

I don't know if this only happens to me or if the real world 767 behaves the same way but here it goes anyway: I do most of my PIC767 fligts with online ATC using VATSIM. I typically hit the VNAV and the auto pilot buttons at about 400-500 feet AGL right after takeoff -- my ALT is usually set to 5000 as per ATC clearance, although on my FMC the cruise ATL is set to FL290 or higher, depending on the flight plan.Everything described so far works very well, exept for the fact that my PIC767 climbs ***really*** fast on VNAV, I mean it climbs at about 3500 to 4000 feet per minute, so I contact VATSIM DEPARTURE ("Good evening COA18 HEAVY climbing 1.5 for 5000 RWY heading") and …

Hey guys, I know this is gonna sound like a bunch of bull, but it's not... anyway....I had 767 PIC a couple years ago with FS2k, and since then I got FS2k2 and havn't used it. Here I am, 2yrs later wanting to install 767 PIC and the patch for it and I can find the cd but not the case it came in with the product key in it. Can someone help me out or help me obtain a new one?

What would be the proper FMC programming technique to divert to the closest airport (assuming autopilot, FMC and autothrottles work)? I have tried changing the ARR airport and selecting the appropriate rwy in DEP/ARR but the plane does not want to capture the approach. To make matters worse I usually do not have approach plates for the diversion airport. I am sure I must be doing this wrong, but so far have been unable to figure it out. A mini tutorial someone? Thanks in advance.

I downloaded and installed the 757 package just as described and I do have 767 PIC. When I load the 757, the panel is there, but the out-the-window view is black. This is true on the forward view, and when I pan to the left or right window. When I load a 767-PIC or POSKY aircraft with the panel, the view is fine. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

Couldn't think of a better title... anyway,If I fly accross the Atlantic or any other ETOPS route, I want to find the 'mid-point' so that in the event of an emergency I either turn back or continue forward to the nearest airport. The procedure for doing this is one I understand as explained in the ETOPS 'tutorial' by Mark McGrath I believe. Say if my mid-point is 102nm after 5630N, how do I make this into a kinda waypoint on my ND? The tutorial says you would type 5630N/102 which is how it's done in the real world, but the PIC FMC doesn't like it. Am I just being stupid or is this a fault with PIC? (Never thought I'd say that :-))ThanksTom EvansBAV 757/767 Training Ca…
