Hey Everyone,I'm sure that there's been a post on this somewhere, but if anybody has diagrams/procdures for flying VOR/NDB/Back-Course approaches, could you post some stuff in the forum? I realized the other day when I was flying the VOR/DME-13L approach into JFK, that I wasn't really familiar. Do you use the vertical-speed dial, or LNAV VNAV, or what? Thanks in advance for any helpful information/hints!Sincerely,Phil Geddes

Hi!I just downloaded this panel from flightsim and I keep having a problem as FS seems to crash when I have this panel installed. Has anyone had the same problems? Julian

Hi,a thing that is not clear to me, yet: are there cat II and cat III runways in FS2002? I mean, does FS2002 recognize the difference between a cat II and a cat III ILS? If so, when I perform an approach to a cat III rwy, my 767 should be able to carry on an autoland, while that should not be possible with cat II rwys. Correct? Thanks,Luca

I've flown just about every payware/commercial panel there is......and for my mind PIC767 is still unbeaten for sheer functionality, ease of reference and visual delivery. (apart from Aerowinx which of course is at least 3 times the price)!!!Whilst I will always be a Boeing person at heart.......I can't wait to sink my teeth into the Wilco A320 PIC when it's available.Whilst there are several 747-400 panels out there, I would think that if Wilco had a team develop one for FS2002, that it would most certainly be the definitive one to purchase. So Wilco, if you feel like investing time and money to put together a definitive Panel for a 747-400 (with as many features as possi…

Can someone please show me the way to Lee's merge file.Thanks.

Thanks to Lee Hetherington. I just installed 767PIC and merged with the POSKY 767-300ER. Program worked flawlessly and I was sufficiently encouraged to edit the cfg file and add 6 of my favourite liveries.Mark.

After reading this G-III NTSB accident report,http://www.ntsb.gov/Publictn/2002/AAB0203.pdf I tried some 767 ops into and out of this field. My questions are #1, even at light weights would this be out of the performance envelope with a rwy 7006 long by 100 feet wide at a elevation of 7280 MSL. #2 Shooting the VOR/DME or GPS-C how would one set up the a/c? Would you be at landing V-ref at the FAF? Thank's From Jim! P.S. I programed the waypoint/ altitudes into the FMS, but I seemed to be high on the papi's on final.

Today during a local flight from Bilbao to Palma de mallorcaI realized the tremendous time expended by the 767 to reach the final cruise level of 360, nearly 30 minutes.I used real wether and the flight conditions were:ATOW 131 TonnesSAT -43CLB1T wind 28ktsAfter passing level 200 the climb performance was poor, takink 30 minutes to reach the level 360 since the lift off.I'am currently using the lates version of the PIC/POSKy merge and all happears to work ok, except this climb problem. The real ones has a much better climb performance with this weight.Any comment? :-zhelp

I'm using Pedro's 757 PIC air file and the aircraft isn't burning enough fuel. On a flight from DEN-LAS, the flight was released planning for 6.000 as reserve, and 4.000 extra with delays, as well as .500 for taxi. I forget off the top of my head what the enroute burn was. So, with 6.000 as reserve, and 4.000 extra, I should of arrived with around 10.000 in the tanks. I landed with almost 16.000. The flight was released based on real world conditions, and I used FS Meteo.I was wondering now, in order to make the plane burn more fuel, would I adjust the fuel flow scalar up or down? I've heard that sometimes it's up, and sometimes it's down to adjust fuel burn It's p…

Is there a special package for merging the PIC panel with a -200 model, or do I use the same one for the -300? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,the autothrottle shuts down, when ever I click with the mouse anywhere else than within the cockpit / Panel. When I chance any FS2k2 settings or toggle to FSNav 4.5 or else, the autothrottle disengange. That is esspecialy unfunny when I fly with time factor 4x. It seems to be a bug of some sort. Please, what can I do about it?Thanxt_a_h

Hi allNormally during final approaches I used to disengage the A/t manually on the MCP, having to remove the aural warning and the caution switch manually. In the PS1.3 and in the 757/767 theres a switch that if it is pressed twice the A/T is disengaged, without any aural warning and entering into the A/T Hold mode, in case of a G/A.Has the PIC panel this possibility?

Hi allBeen used to the PSS 747 & 777 as well as the DF737 for quite a while, I've decided that I reaally want to get into the 767PIC - but, where can I get a good tutorial that will take me from the cold & dark cockpit, through the entire cockpit setup, and possibly through a short flight. I've been reading through the PDF manuals from Wilco, but they, in my view, just tells you what to do with the various systems, not what order they should be operated.

Bear with me folks---I still have a question about how the FMC computes the fuel load. I was told that it calculates the amount of fuel needed for the trip (less wind effect)however, in some experimenting (having the tanks empty) no fuel figure was forthcoming.Am I misunderstanding and giving the FMC too much credit for being smart enough to figure how much gas I should put in the tanks?

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Mike Bevington aka AAL327 please report on this post. AAL327 has not been seen on line for over a week...something is wrong. Here's hoping everything is ok, Mike, and the only problems are connection issues. People are asking questions...."where the hell is Mikey?"Thank You.Rob.

Hi to all, some days ago I used PIC767 to do the longest 763ER flight that I know of.It is Air Canada 887 from Tel Aviv to Toronto. Distance is about 5400nm.If anyone is interested in some pics of the flight, you can download them here:http://stud.fh-wedel.de/~wi3557/tmp/llbgcyyz.zipRegardsMalteEDDHFlight remarks:---------------AC887===========================LLBG Tel Aviv Taxi @ 22:46z Take Off @ 22:58z (=0:58 local time)CYYZ Toronto Landing @ 11:44z at gate @ 11:55zflight time: 12:46fuel used: 131600 lbs / 60tfuel remaining: 28600 bls / 13tavg fuel flow: 10,3t1kg = 2.2 lbs

Just noticed that the Fwd Left Tank Fuel Boost Pump "PRESS" light in PIC extinguishes when the APU is being started with the Battery only (no EXT power available/on). This doesn't quite sound right. Shouldn't the APU be supplied with fuel by a different, DC powered fuel pump during this time? Also, I noticed on our 767's, that if EXT power is available on the main busses and you select the APU control switch from OFF to RUN (not all the way to START), the PRESS light extinguishes almost immediately.Incidentally, is this Fwd Boost Pump powered by the Ground Service Bus in PIC? I thought it might be a good indication that power is on the Ground Service Bus and the R Main DC…

Last month, my family flew down to St Thomas, USVI from Atlanta. Down there, they do not use jetways from the aircraft to the terminal. One has to take stairs down from the aircraft into the terminal. They use two stairs, one for the forward door, the other for the aft door. When we were boarding to come back to Atlanta, we had to board the rear stairs. I noticed as we were climbing up the stair, there was a hatch open and felt a slight rush of air going into that hatch. I assumed that was the APU intake. Also it was noisy as heck back there, so my assumption about the APU should be correct. :)My question is this: When the flight crew starts up the APU, do they hav…

hello, well sometimes when I fly the PIC the airport I am flying out of/ landing at. doesn't not have any avail sid/stars for me to choose from, so I am then forced to eitehr create one, get a map of one and copy it as best as possible. so, I am wondering if my AIRAC data is out of date? it may be, so where can I get the latest one, and how do I install it? and sometimes when I do have to imput a sid/star manually, some of the points doing work. and so I re try them and they still don't work. what would you do in that situation? I personally either would ignore it, if its like an NM or 2. or I would pick a VOR or INTC closest to it..thank you.

Hi allI find it amazing reading some of the posts on the forums that Flight simmers still knock what some of the older simmers have come to appreciate. Lets get things into perspective, I and many others go back to the days of wire frame planes running an "ATARI" in retrospect they were simply aweful but it was the closest thing we could get to following our dream. Both computers and software have progressed at an alarming rate to the stage we have now where you can fly the PIC767 to any where in the world with uncanny realism, OK I have spent a small fortune upgrading and replacing my computer(s)and the wife would have a fit if she realised how much. BUT HAS IT BEEN WORT…
