How is it possible to get to any airport flying with a programmedFMC without having the ATC telling you 80 odd miles from target to change route and lower altitude etc.I'm flying the 767Pic under FS2002.Anybody,hint,answer?Thanks Grandpa Carel

How does one manually tune NAV2 and ADF in PIC and have them ident properly? I do not see the "usual" radio button shortcut anywhere on the panel,; neither can I use the FMC for the purpose. Thanks in advance.

I am looking (or was) at buying the PIC767 but after looking at the panel and after comparing it to the pictures of a real 767 panel I am left wondering. The main panel instruments, while they look like a 767's instruments are too large & in the wrong positions. All standby instruments which should be on the main panel are on a pop up screen (to me this distracts from the realism of the panel). I know that this post will no doubt illicit responses good & bad but I feel if so much trouble was taken to get this package together (and in every other respect its appears perfect) then the trouble should have been taken to get the placement of the instruments right.regard…

Wow... my first night as a C-1 Albuqurque Center controller turned out to be rather eventful - I had two PIC flights come in, one of whom was our pal here Lamont Duncan, but what happend right as he got there was totally insane and unexpected!! ;)Just as Lamont contacted me descending in on the BLH.ARLIN3 a total nutcase got on my RW channel and started impersonating me, a VATUSA sup and non-existent aircraft. I first tried politely telling him to leave the channel but after he started saying things in a really stupid voice such as, "Can I say 'the F word' to you??", I'd heard quite enough - luckily both ZAB's chief Jeff Hall and our chief INS Mike Maxham were observing…

Guys,Was wondering whether one of you knowledgeable chaps might be able to assist. When doing an autopilot coupled approach, the aircraft always seems to track left of localiser. This is regardless of head-, tail-, or crosswind from either side. I rather suspect it has nothing to do with the FMC, as the aircraft should be following the localiser based on information received by the VOR1 radio. For this reason I've never experienced an automatic landing; always disconnect the A/P at around 1500ft, with A/T following at around 1000 ft.Apart from this little tedious problem, this is by far the very best add-on ever produced for Flight Simulation. Actually, it's so good we're …

Hi!Like the subject says: I'm unable to assign (in PIC preferences) the Autothrottle switch and Autopilot disconnect bar in CH yoke.I'm able to assign those two (Arm autothrottle, Autopilot master sw.)in FS2002 assignments, but they do NOTHING. All the other stuff, that I've assigned in the FS2k2 preferences work OK.The PIC joystick assignments doesn't recognize any of the buttons in my CH yoke to any of the functions that are listed there.I've tried resetting the defaults and such but to no avail.Help is greatly appreciated!cheers,Tero (who hates using keyboard disconnecting A/P and A/T)

I was finishing an 11 hour flight (yes in real time) in a POSKY Delta 763 with the PIC panel (a dream combination) from LAX to EGKK. Well, somehow one of the engines for some reason would no longer respond to A/T or manual or even the MSFS keyboard commands. I figured I would shut it down and re-start it. I could not get it going however but do to the excellent FDE on this aircraft, I made a 1 engine landing at Gatwick right on the centerline (a good FDE goes a long way in these circumstances). Could someone give me the proper step by step procedures for a inflight restart please? Thanks

Need some real pilot input on this one, folks... My manuals are letting me down.On another site, a Boeing 777 pilot was relating how his Check Captain selected "APP" on his MCP in cruise (on a real flight) and the electrical busses isolated for Autoland (then and there, well above the expected 1500'). Our Boeing 747-400 Maintenance Manual tells us that Bus Isolation occurs when either the A/P is triple armed or engaged, but haven't actually seen this happen in real life.... and the AOM specifies engagement.Anyway, I believe all three CMD buttons on our 767's light up when the "APP" button is pushed at any altitude, indicating that all three A/P's are armed (or rather one …

On the flight deck of 757 last week I noticed that the NAV1 & NAV 2 Auto & Manual tuning can be independent. For examplethe NAV 2 box was tuned to TRN VOR 117.50 CRS 189 in Manual Mode, but switched to GOW BOR 115.40 CRS --- when selected in Auto Mode. When the Auto/Man switch was pressed again the TRN VOR reappeared. The Nav1 box was tuned in to the GOW VOR CRS 234 in Manual, and again displayed dashes when selected in Auto Mode.I tried this in PIC, but when swithcing back to MAN mode, the VOR remained tuned to what ever the last Auto Tuned Station was.How does the real NAV unit accomplish this.Mark

Two questions:Does the FMC fuel calculator compute the amount of fuel needed to fly a route or merely display the amount of fuel presently in the tanks? On route entry--if entering a J route is it necessary to include fixes on the route. The example in the manual shows a route from TXK J42 MEM J42 GVE. Could this have been entered as TXK J42 GVE or is the MEM a required entry even though the J route remains the same departing MEM?

Hi Guys,I have been trying to load my flight plan from the FS2K2 flight planner into the FMC using the COROUTE proceedure and nothing happens. I read the FMC manual which states that flight plans have to be saved in the Pilots folder. FS2k2 only allows you to save flight plans in the MyFlights folder.Anyone know how to get around this? Thanks,Astro

Where can I get accurate flightplans for PSS 747, PSS 767, and/or PIC 767?I'm looking for as many domestic US and other world-wide 767 PIC, PSS 747 and 777 accurate and preferably real -world flight plans as I can find. Any links? I've been to Pat's FS Site, he has the best I've found so far.

I was just wondering about the Hetherington instructions for merging a new 767v3 POSKY into PIC, and all is done and I must admit I am extremely pleased with the results. The only knock I have is on the nosewheel no longer turning - is it me or is this a commong problem? Thanks again and kudos to those who made this possible!!! :D

Hi!I just installed a second monitor to run FSNav in and started FS.I'm getting duplicate GPWS aural warnings (500, 100, glideslope etc. etc.), which sounds both annoying and distracting as to which is the "right" one, like for example in altitude callouts..Anyone have a clue about this?thanks,Tero

Excuse the question, but I've been out of the loop for awhile. Got a new motorcycle, a 2002 Midnight Star (Yamaha Roadstar) & haven't been online for awhile.Anyway, I have the B762 & B763 merges. The readme says v3, dated 3/23. Looks like I installed it April 3. Just wondering if this is the latest or has it been tweaked since late March? No complaints, just like to always have the latest...(thanx Lee...)

Hi to all;-))Just three short questions, and/or requests.- Could anybody tell me the name of the Landing view file performed by Pedro? I just can't find the file in the avsim database- I know that Pedro performed months ago, some test with the PIC inV1 cut situations, and he decided to modify the sensitivity of the rudder to improve the behaviour of the airplane in such situations. This tweak has been implemented in the .air file from posky/merge file??Also Pedro if possible I'd like to know the sensitivity values of your Yoke.- And finally, which of the Yaw dummpers is related with the control of the rudder on ground in the PIC? I don't know why bur while on the ramp the …

You know you want it!!! I say: To heck with the ScareBusses, and on with the Boeings!!! :)I think this new cockpit looks better than even a new 777 - oh wait - their nearly identical!!?? 767PIC is awesome, and this is the only logical successor - upgrade with technology just as in the real aircraft - only logical! :DBoeing 767-432/ER Cockpit...[http://www.airliners.net/Airliners_net_image.file?filename=9/5/0/127059.jpg&ZyXtCe=MDg1NDU0&id]

FSUIPC - or whatever that thing is, that automatically loads when I put 767 PIC on my hardive, totally corrupts my entire flight simulator by messing up my joystick and in particular it's rudder input. (FS2000 and FS2002) Everything is fine until I move the rudder, but then it's "centering" goes kaput and all I can do is run in circles - in all airplanes!!!!What is this program, how can I simply uninstall it alone, or better yet how can I fix this "bug"? I have a standard MS Sidewinder Precision Pro, and I don't think I'm the first one to run into this problem!? Please help shed some light on this please! :)

Hi everyone,I would like to propose that we have an early morning flight this weekend in Australia! The Australian/New Zealand controllers are having a 'cross the ditch' flyin in the wee hours (at least for me) on Sunday (0400z to 1300z).The SATPAC page is excellent and I believe some preferred routes are already listed there. http://www.satpac.org is the link.I hope to see you there.Regards,Dan Pergau
