Guys,Working for a rather large European cargo airline, I sometimes substitute as a flying loadmaster. Recently I had my first experience jumpseating on the B757-200SF. As you may know, the 757 and 767 can be flown on the same typerating. Cockpit and most of the systems are identical.I already knew that 767PIC was very close to the real thing, but just how close it is surprised me. Entering the cockpit well ahead of departure I found the skipper nesting over the FMC and asked if he would mind if I looked over his shoulder. His question "Do you know how to operate this (the FMC)?". I honestly replied "No" but added that I've played around with something that looked like it…

I am trying to program FMC in loading a flight plan found on library (CYYZCYUL).I position the plane on 06R and try to complete the POS INI and PERF INI pages.I verified ROUTE1 Page and all navaid were listed in. I completed speed/altitude for each.But... despite data entered,v1, vr, v2 wont show up and INCOMPLETE message stand on R6 LSKDoes anybody be kind enought to give me step by step data to be entered. I have tried with the book but it does not work like it said.Jean-ClaudeCYQB

just a quick question for u PIC 767 veteran pilots. I merged the pic airfile with the posky 767-300 ER will this have any effect on the flight dynamics,, fuel loading, etc, etc as I believ the PIC 767 is just the standard 767-300 not the extended range version correct??

Hi guys,It's my first time posting here and I couldn't find an answer to this question in the archives. I am looking for the keystroke combinations for the FMC keypad. I see som of them in the PIC config settings, but all the keystrokes for the numerals and letters aren't listed. I have a programmable 120 key keypad and have programmed the listed functions. These are working fine and I'm hoping to complete my (not so real) FMC. If any of you PIC gurues could help me out I would appreaciate it very much.Thanks in advance for any help.

I would love to see a concorde done to the standards of the 767. it would be a great seller as ever other type of aircraft has been done- well the only other plane i would like to see would be a DC-10 or L-1011 (something that does not require the complexity of FMC's which while they are great take a long time to learn and it would be nice to have an aircraft that u can actually fly and not programme) so go CONCORDE go!!!

HiI often fly 2 legs in one day. After shutting everything down at the gate on arrival at my destination, then after starting engines etc and taxiing towards the runway for my return flight, i find that I lose my brakes completely ie they have no effect. If i turn the hydraulics off then I regain the power of the brakes. Very strange!I've tried everything including reserve brakes and steering but to no avail. Also, since this problem has started to occur (about a week ago) I get a file on my desktop called GMON.OUT after i exit FS, perhaps this is totally unconnected, perhaps not.I'm using POSKY repaints with PIC using ILH's merge :-)Anyone know wassup?!RgdsTom EvansB…

Hi,I know that MSFS2002 is notorious about not modeling correct aerodynamic drag effects at high altitudes. For this reason of course, the PIC .air file can not accurately simulate a realistic idle decent from cruise altitude. To compensate for the MSFS drag bug, PIC must keep the throttles pushed up to around 70 percent N1 throughout the course of a normal 3 degree VNAV engaged decent.On the VNAV DECENT page of the PIC FMS, a speed profile indicates a .80 mach decent until reaching an IAS of around 320 kts or so, depending on cost index. I've noticed that a VNAV commanded decent with PIC will however immediately try to capture and maintain the profile decent IAS r…

whenever i set up the fmc i always end up with .800/410 in the legs page for cruising waypoints,although i always specify a different crusing altitude in fmc,am i doing something wrong,i looked in maual but have i overlooked anything?everything is fine barring those entries?

Hi All,[edit]I've just found a similar thread from a few days ago which more or less answers my question, but the question below about the manuals still stands.[end edit]I've just purchased 767PIC and installed with FS2002 and applied the FS2002 patch. According to the FMC manual (which only refers to FS2000), to load an existing route into the CO ROUTE data block it has to exist in the FS2002/pilots directory but FS2002's flight planner won't save to any directory other than FS2002flightsmyflts.Is there a work around for this apart from switching back to the Windows desktop and manually copying the saved plan to the required directory?Also, have the manuals been updated…

Hi All and Hello Lee!!!I've been away for a while and haven't used PIC for too long. Cold sweat here. he heeeI was wondering about the "merge" I just dowloaded from this page?Does it work well with the POSKY 762? Does any work on the weights need to be done? How does the merge do with the POSKY 762?I'm running winXP and FSK2Pro and I've heard of a few problems but I assume Lee's "merge" program will fix this?Any comments or help would be appreciated! I noticed that I get very low frame rates and the simulator slows down way too much in the spotview graphically speaking I have no problems with the panel This only happens when I use any of the PIC 767 planes, my systems specs are:P4 1.6512 ddr ramnvidia geforce 4 ti 4200integrated sound cardwinxp What can I do to be able to fly any of the PIC 767 Planes with at least ok frame rates and to improve the graphics?Best Regards,Selby

Ok I've tried everything...About a week ago PIC started acting really strangly on me - when I go to rotate on TO, the elevator suddenly snaps full upward and locks there. I have elevator control for a few secs, but then it always goes full up and I stall. It's not runaway trim - the actual control surface is moving, you can see it on the 2nd lower EICAS page. I've updated my joystick drivers (it's a Saitek USB Cyborg), I've reinstalled the latest FSUIPC, and reinstalled PIC all to no avail. This is for the real 767 pilots out there who use this forum, just want to know for my own curiosity how real PIC is to flying the real thing as far as flight dynamics are concerned. I have flown PIC767 a couple of times and was surprised at how easy it was to fly and even landing it was not too bad- it practically lands itself when flying it manually. I realise MSFS2002 is mainly a scenery generator and not really optimized for flight modelling but i would like some feedback on this issue.also how does it compare to X-plane which is supposed to be THE flight sim if u are after accurate flight modelling, cheers.

When I turn on my aircraft lights the strobe light and some other light come on above the wing but the beacon and nav lights are in the proper place. It didn't happen until I applied the PIC/POSKY patch. Is there a patch or something I can put in the cfg to get the lights into their correct positions? Thanks.

Is there a way to set VOR freq. manually in PIC 767?Normally I'm using the FMC to fly my routes. However, when I need to set the VOR freq. and OBS course manually, the EHSI does not display the radial. Another problem are ILSs, even if some airports are in my FMC database, the ILS course is not displayed. I tried to input the frequencies manually, but that doesn't work. The FS2002 inbuild "course displayer" doesn't recognize the frequency set either. Thanks for any help!

I know this might not be the right place to post this, but I can't find another forum to match the topic. The question might already have been answered but I have been away for a long time and is therefore not up-todate sorry. Is there a way to remove the planes from Airport 2000 vol. 3 when using FS2002. The traffic is conflicting with the traffic from FS2002?And... is there a way to fix the default ramp locations from FS2002 so they match the locations from Airport 2000?

Hi there I was looking at the MCP aerosoft offers and that the new patch released by WILCO allows values to be extracted from PIC to the hardware, my question is can you do the same with Overhead panel values like lights, or anunciator panel?? Fuel panel etc??. So that it can be interfaced with hardware for a home cockpit project...Just curious if this can be done.THANKS.Roberto
