Hey guys,Yesterday I was handed the keys to one of our newest jets, a brand new (almost, about two months old) -300 model of the 757. I flew it from MSP over to DTW and back. I had the good fortune of having a jumpseat rider, so I naturally handed him my camera and told him to click away. Here are some pics:http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...300_cockpit.jpgThe front office...still smells like a new car LOL.http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...ll_taxi_300.jpgSome moron taxing to the active runway...oh wait, that's me.http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...off_MSP_300.jpgLift-off from MSP...take-off weight 215,000 lbs (every seat on the airplane was …

I am still having problems with my Geforce4 Ti 4600, in 16 bit textures. I can see an orange peel effect / bleed through (like lego blocks)on the PIC Panel after roughly 10 mins.I have tried every version of the Win XP drivers for the Geforce4 right up to version 40.72, and still the problem persists at 1600 x 1200 in 16 Bit.Unfortunately my computer won't allow me to use 1600 x 1200 in 32 bit for some peculiar reason.Win XPAMD 2100 XPGefrce4 Ti 460040.72 DriversAny help would be greatly appreciated.Best Wishes to all,ChrisEGBB

I recently bought a new fast computer, and went about re-installing all my stuff for FS2000. I was saddened to see that 767 PIC was not working correctly with windows XP. I read the FAQ at Wilco's site and it advised a solution for windows 2000 users. The problems dercribed are exactly what happens to me. Menu bar not working correctly in full screen mode, and changing between windowed and full screen freezes my computer. The workaround mentioned in the FAQ works OK, but I don't like having the menu bar in view all the time, and any changes via the menu bar sometimes bring FS to a crawl until I load the aircraft again via the select flights feature. It works in FS20…

Hi folks! After a hiatus caused by problems with my old celeron 466 (oc 525) voodoo3 system, which has since gone to the chip graveyard, I am back flying again!!! Got a new Dell 1.8 ghz with geforce4 64 meg and 512 meg RAM windows XP home and sb live card. Not the latest 2.53 ghz system but still powerful and a good price. WOW! With the decent card and all saw nice textures and even the vehicles at the default airports, locked fps at 25 and is smooth. Best of all the PIC no longer has spikes like on my old system, I have the latest fsuipc but don't have the spike fix checked. The Wilco model still sucks though can you guys beleive this is the first model that killed my fr…

Check out the TAT reading! Consequencely, this causes the oil temp to drop, and the oil press lights to stay lit during cruise. As the captain of the ship, I decided the flight shall continue.FYI: FL370, somewhere along the NAT on the KJFK-EGLL route, and since it was so cold, mach .8 (actually econ .799) was giving me ground speed of 381. Running Activesky and FSUIPC.

All,I'm having trouble getting the 767 to do an autoland while lined up with the localizer properly. Every time I hit the APP button, the plane turns to line up with the localizer but ends up off center to the right a few hundred feet and follows that all the way in (I usually end up lined up on a taxiway). I do get positive lights on the autoland (land 3) the whole time. Glideslope is perfect as far as I can tell. I'll give ya the parameters and hopefully someone can spot what I'm doing wrong.I follow 2K2 ATC vetors for instument approachspeed is 148 kts, gear down, flaps full, APP button lit by turn to final (FD and AT are engaged)ILS freq for assigned runway is in…

  13. Fellow Captains,First the disclaimer. Yes, I've searched the entire forum to the best of my abilities, and I haven't found the answer to this question. If you know the answer is already posted and feel irritated by me not being able to find it, please do not reply, just ignore me. I apologize for the inconvenience. Now the question. While flying with PIC in a proper POSKY/PIC merged craft, and right after pausing, the airplane looses thrust, engines go iddle, and then quickly recover, but I loose speed. Same happens after saving a flight. Any ideas? Dave Vega

Here's my latest update. As you can see, to keep the perspective right, I kept the photo for this view. (I know, I know... there's no R/A tape... this is from a United 757 cockpit) It's quite nice to fly in bad weather, and you get great visibility as well! As usual, I appreciate each and every one of your comments! Thanks.Phil Geddes

HI to all, i have been practicing flying SID's and STARS withn FS2002 and I have a queastion for you real world pilots. When u are approaching the transiton waypoint for a STAR are u actually instructed by ATC to fly that particular STAR (whatever the name of it is) or will they simply give you a series of vectors that happen to correspond to the vectors and waypoints in the STAR itself? om another more annoying matter is there anyway to disengage the rudder from the nose gear steering- it is most maddening to land in a severe crosswind , lining up with the centreline using the rudder and then as sson as all wheels are down having the &*^%$ plane fishtail all ov…

I thought it would be best to start a new topic about my investigations :).Flight from LSZH-EGLLThis flight obviously being short will measure the adjusted scalar precision on short flights. It is the short flights and the long flights obviously which are susceptible to the most fuel discrepencies.Study the flight plan attatced. ETE: 01:13END: 01:53 MIN FOB: 10.5T ACT FOB: 11.0TTRIP FUEL: 6.5TCRUISE: FL380PLN RES: 3.1TACT RES: 3.5T (+0.5T)As you can see, the fuel loading went wrong, and we ended up with 0.5T more than planned.Normally I would take EXTRA fuel on board on a day like "today" as there are forecast headwinds. However, I shall use these to come to my conclusion…

The most baggage per passenger can be stowed on the Boeing-767; it holds the world record for this. It also holds the record for the longest flight of a civilian twin-engined jet-propelled airplane: 14,890 kilometers. (8200 nm). I believe the flight that set this record was the delivery flight from Seattle to the capital of Madagascar.Michael J.

I had ongoing problems with assigning joystick buttons through the PIC custom control dialogue. I have a solution. Credit goes to Tony_767 for leading me in the right direction. It appears that PIC gets confused if more than one joystick is used in MSFS. In my instance, I use PFC's Jet Yoke for flight controls and, get this, the combination of a CH Flight Sim Yoke PC & Simcom's 2 axis throttle for my throttle. This gives me the ability to have both left and right engine controls independent without spending $200+ on a L/R throttles. CH Yoke axis's are unassigned in the MSFS.My problem was in getting buttons on the PFC yoke assigned to PIC functions, for example a…

Hi,Question 1.Allthough V2 gets automatically set in the Speed Window, I have gotten into the habbit of replacing it with V2+15 . I find that very convenient. Is that acceptable and if no, why not ?Question 2.Why is it not neccesary to set one or both of the Engine Start Switches to "CONT" during take off? Does the "AUTO" setting guarantee ignition during T/O ?Thanks for feedback,

Hey Guys,I'm working with a UAL 767 captain now who's giving me a wealth of information on the landing view perspective.... Here is a shot of my lates work, as well as a reduced photo of a shot he sent me. You can see where I'm coming from with this new design! Feedback much appreciated! p.s. I've never been able to fly the VOR/DME 13L/R approach at JFK right before... with this panel, I nailed the approach yesterday!p.s.2 You're all probably wondering what to do about intstruments... it's really easy to add thos undockable gaugues from gauthier.
