Hi Guys -Are the any limitations with RC when using the PMDG 747?When i press ctrl+shift+m to 'hand over' the plane, automatic contact into new airspace / sectors does not happen (not handy for long flights!). Even if im at cruise alt, handing over doesnt seem to do anything.I also hear that you cant save in-flight progress in Windows 7?

I've just installed RC4 on FSX and first it was OK. After installing Meatwaters Voicepack and macerwys I get this message when try to load a flightplan:Laufzeitfehler '6'RadarContact.rcv4module.get_departure_informationWhat'll I do?

How can I use RC4 in combination with Live ATC Chatter from Cielosim? So when you hear ATC from RC4 the audio from Live ATC Chatter are going through that. Is there a fix/solution for that?

hi .i was working with rc4 under win xp with no problem most of the time i used the pmdg 747 and make save flight during the long flight.under win xp when i load the flight that i saved with the pmdg the aircaft save also the panel state so when i load the flight everithng come back and i could continue the route. but the problem start when moved to windwos 7 when i tryied to load a saved flight with the PMDG 747 the fs9 bring me to the exact saved location but the pmdg is stuck !!!! the panel is not coming back to the exact save position and the pointer mouse is in "thinking" mode (the spin circle) so i cant do nothing , i aslo cant push on any button .thank you for you…

Over the last couple of weeks I've been installing new hardware and OS's (Win 7 and a 'new' XP) requiring me to reinstall RC4 at least 5 times, I don't know how automated the re-activation system is but I've never had to wait longer than a couple of hours to be re-activated. I have just installed RCv4.3 on my new computer running Windows 7 64-bit. I did a flight today and had a couple of problems. The first one was that RC was very slow at responding to keyboard commands. When I pressed a button to chance frequency for example it took 30 seconds at least to respond. The other problem was that I got cleared to FL70 at first. Then so on up to I think it was FL290. When I got there I was just left there. Normally when I get to about 1000ft before the asigned alt I get a new altitude. I had to request it via the "high altitude" command. This only worked after I had gone about 30nm from tehy point at which I requested it. When I got to FL340 the s…

Anyone have any suggestions on this, I use FSX with the acceleration add-on? The Error comes up when loading in a FSX generated flight-plan. I just re-installed vista onto C (I'm different and run my OS on C and the rest of the files on my larger D drive, so it's backwards). So I don't know if that would make a difference. As far as other add-ons I also just installed REX2 and FSPassengers, which run fine. I've tried re-installing RC a few times, but to know avail.Thanks for the help.

Hi,I use FS2004 and am now trying to take use of WideFS, having left the RCv4.3 installation on my old XP Pro machine and installed FS on my new Vista Home Premium machine. I have set up a network, however, although I have got necessary read/write permissions to all other files and folders, I can't mange to achieve the same permissions for the C:\Users\MyUseName\Documents\Flight Simulator Files.This leaves me with the runtime error 75 of course.My question is; does anyone know how to achieve read/write permission to this folder in a network configuration as described ?Reading from Microsoft's help desk or internet site doesn't give much help and searching other places on…

While flying radar contact will randomly display this error. "Fsuipc_wait, cant get D008 to change from 26864058 always 26864058"While flying it will show I have 30 minutes left for the flight, then it will jump to 2 hours or another random number. I installed Windows 7 last week and then reinstalled all my FSX and goodies including RC4. Everything worked fantastically, much faster than on XP.Just in the last 2 days however, I have been experiencing long delays in RC4 reacting to commands and receiving replies. So much so, that it is possible to ask ground for clearance and leave the gate and be half way to the runway before getting clearance!(Naughty, I know). The delay can be up to 30 seconds.There is very little running in the background and I cannot think what is causing this. I had a rather strange experience tonite...I was flying from YSTW to YPEC and was almost at the TOC when RC started to scold me for drifting off my filed course. My filed course was 148 but RC directed me to 320 and added "proceed direct when able". First I didn't understand anything and rather stupidly assumed I was being delayed so I headed back to 320 as directed and after a few minutes I started to feel I "was able" to "proceed direct". Does RC ever refer to other AI aircraft as heavy? I looked in the aircraft.cfg of my AI planes, and clearly saw them marked as heavy, yet whenever I hear them in game the report as just the flight number, with no "heavy" added on.Is this normal?thanks

Hi, I noticed that in KSAN, planes preferably land on RWY27 unless the wind is from east. I mean they land on RWY27 when winds are calm from east, and winds come from south and north. In flightsim, they mostly land on RWY9 because it's got the ILS.How to avoid that and ensure that RWY27 is favored?ThanksGhiom

I have been suffering with RCv4 ATC leaving me way too high on approach. Let me explam what happens....First off I pretty much always put a user waypoint into the FMC for 45nm out from the airport and a FL110/100 restriction so that I can cross at the right height when ATC says "descent to XXX, be level in 30nm or less" However, in the last few flights I have done this has left me way too high for desceding as per the flight charts to reach the turn to finals at the right height. I was coming into ENGM at FL110 and contacted approach who left me at 110 for quite a while then told me to descent to 4000ft but there was not enough distance to do it before turning finals. T…

I understand its best practice to turn off the text display for RC as it causes slower RC performance.Its there a better way to show text on screen? In the default ATC window, maybe?Also, i like to fly long haul routes. Should i be away from my PC when an instruction comes in (change altitude, heading etc.), is there a way to automatically pause FSX? Can i also automatically leave and contact centers? Any other RC tips for being away from the PC on long flights?Thanks for your help.

Just got hold of great new add-on for Kai Tak ,VHHX, and I don't care if it closed in 1998!Seriously though, the IGS 13 approach is confusing me a little. On a third party Flight Planner this shows up as a sort of skewed ILS feather so is it flown as part ILS part visual approach? ( Right Bank at Middle Marker I believe)I have seen other posts relating to FS9 suggest that RC cannot or will not set you up for this approach as it may for a more conventional ILS?I get more than a little confused with VOR's and NDB approaches so I usuually 'cheat' and ask RC for vectors to the ILS if you see what I mean.Any help appreciated for relative newcomer.Nigel ThomasUK

Hi,After another session of FS9 crashing due to a atc.dll error and the fact that i want to make the sim more realistic, i have decided that Radar Contact is the product i need to get.I have seen thatthere is a version 5 due out sometime in the new year, so i was wondering that if i bought the current version then would i have to pay to upgrade to v5?I would like to buy it now but will have to wait if it is going to cost me more in the long run as i would like to have v5?Also, can anyone confirm that Radar contact does eliminate the bugs found within the default atc.dll?thanks

Hi Jd,Installed Windows 7 and FSX, all seems good, actually looks great!Haven't tried using RC in the sim yet but it installed well.Trying to update the scenery database.I'm getting the error: Run-time error '75' and that there is a Path/File access error.This is the path to my FSX that I'm copying into RC:C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator XI have the latest MakeRwys.exe in the main FSX folder and also tied an older version.Mike

hii recently uninstalled FSX, along with Radar contact and after that i deleted the Fs directory, along with every file in itit seems that in the deleted folder there was also the file rcv43-0.bin, wich is required for the installation (i now, i've been stupid)i now get every time an error message because the installer cannot run without the file.Can I get this file without having to buy the product again??Can anyone send me it??my email is: [email protected] you in advance!
