  1. Actually that's Niko Bellic from Grand Theft Auto IV, not Steve Jobs.-Al
  2. Hi, Press Alt-Tab to go into windowed mode and it should show up. Then go back to full-screen when done.Hope that helps,Al
  3. Download the latest patch for the PNW from the ORBX site: http://fullterrain.com/support.html-Al
  4. If you have a registered version of FSUIPC under one of the options you can set the ~ key to open and close the window and it will stay closed. - Al
  5. Anyone know?
  6. Hi everyone, I've also been eyeing this scenery but was worried about the fact that it's not supported anymore. Aren't there patches necessary to make it compatible with UT USA and FSGenesis mesh? Where would I get those files now? Al
  7. The only thing you can do with the abrupt change in detail that you outline in red there is to reduce the visibility to around 60 miles or less. FS9 just doesn't render detail beyond that point. As for the blurries, why don't you post the TERRAIN section of your FS9.cfg and we can see if any of the parameters should be changed. I'm still tweaking myself since I still get blurry textures and jagged terrain sometimes.-Al
  8. Thanks for the helpful responses. I was just confused by the claim on the FSGenesis website that the low-res mesh reduces the problem of the "blue slivers", which I only ever began to notice after installing the 38m mesh! So I thought FS had a way of using lower-res mesh in the distance which would make a case for buying it. Thanks for the advice, saved me a few bucks. Thanks,Al
  9. I have a question about FSGenesis mesh. I recently bought 38m mesh for western Canada and the U.S. west coast but was wondering if you can also use that in conjunction with the lower resolution mesh such as the 153m also from FSGenesis. If you install both does that improve the appearance of the distant terrain or would it be pointless if you already have a higher resolution mesh for the same area? I'm wondering because right now the terrain tends to load rather slowly and look low-res in the mid-to-far distance even on my fairly powerful computer. Thanks,Al
  10. Does that mean it's in Beta? :( -Al
  11. That's really cool! But don't different aircraft often have max cruise speed at different altitudes?-Al
  12. Always reduce throttle before reducing prop RPM. And in reverse order, increase prop RPM before increasing throttle.-Al
  13. That looks great. I was wondering about FSGlobal 2010 though. Is it better? It seems it is a lot cheaper, but is it as high resolution?-Al
  14. Interesting plane. What are all those different coloured levers for? There's like ten of them. I'm guessing there's throttle, mixture and prop speed, and maybe cowl flaps and parking brake, but how about the rest?-Al
