What happened to FS9, does RC not work with that anymore?Thanks in advance for your answer. ;)

Strange problem: All was fine until I crossed LOONS and then ATC started to be persistent to put me into a circle. I did not turn around again after the first time, I got back on course and then used the Dir Ckpt command to request the next waypoint from where I was, which at the time was KONGO. This seemed to satisfy ATC and they quit nagging me to go in circles. I did nothing to make it do this and I have not had this problem before. My flightplan was as follows: KSLKSYRAUDILEXTOLCNTERSFK04ZUUCSPSBEJOCYLOONSGEFFSHVQKONGOTONIOVXVCALCOVUZDELBEMEIAny idea what was up with that? Thanks in advance.

ATIS at Perth Western Australia today had clouds Bkn at FL250 and Scattered at FL250.#####?How can that be, you can only have either Scattered or Broken.Anyone else come across this?

when trying to fly from uncontrolled airports I get no response from atc when trying to contact FSS. The menu items are there but when I hit the corresponding numbers ( 2-FSS WX) or (CLR by FSS) I get no response. my flight plan is loaded in fsx as well as RC4. I have RC installed on a seperate computer using widefs.one other problem: often I find RC very slow to respond. I will often see (STANDBY) and it will take a couple of minutes before the menus reappear.any help would be greatly appreciated.TL

Followed the pinned instructions but it didn't work.Edit: disregard, fixed the problem by downloading the .dll file and running the commands again.

Is it possible to use radar contact without sound, and have ATC messages displayed on screen as text prompts.The voices are too unatural for my liking, so I would prefer text only.Regards,Awais M.

Hi Guys - I have set up my flight in FS2004. Then i bring up RC, import my plan, etc.As soon as i press the Start button in RC, my plane jumps across the runway (still on the ground, but well off from where i started it). Its only happened a couple of times, but i was wondering what it could be.The problem seems to happen if i have started RC a few times, and when i restart my PC, the problem goes.Like i say, not a huge problem, but i thought i would mention it.Thanks! :(

Hi,RC v. 4.3 running beautifully under both FS9 and FX until I installed Super ATC earlier today. Makerunways started automatically and then... disaster: RC starts normally, but as soon as I select an FS flight plan, the error message pops up and RC goes bang.Any ideas?Merry Xmas to all,G.

after saving flight with the CTRL+ALT+; , i am trying to load the flight again but when i load the .RCD all of the screens in the cockpit are going black (more like turn off) and the mouse is stuck on busy .this is happand only in win7!!! when i tryied it in win XP everyting is ok.the aircafts are PMDG 747 , LEVELD 767 i also notice that window named DUMMY WINDOW is opened when i load the .RCD file thanks.

Hey all,I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as to identify why most traffic calls are messed up. I use a combination of the existing MS traffic, world AI, Project AI, and my own creation to populate the skies of FS9. Every MS plane from their traffic bgl file where I am alerted to their presence, is the appropriate type of aircraft, like a caravan, or a cessna, or a 737, etc. But it appears that all other traffic calls are wrong, like md-88's are notifed as 737, md-11's as caravan. It's odd to hear a continental 737 being a continental caravan. From my perspective, RC only knows of aircraft types that are original to FS9. I haven't heard recen…

HiI have just installed a VRInsight CDU11 for the PMDG 737NG. It works well flying online but there is a compatibilty issue with RC4. I use RC4 on a networked PC using WideFS. The issue resolves around the numeric key pad of the CDU. With RC4 loaded it prevents me programming the FMC also pressing the numeric keys is picked up by RC4 as commands.The solution as I see it is to use the RC4 keyboard for commands and disable the keyboard link between the two PC's. Is this possible to do or is there another solution to the problem? I would like to continue using the new CDU and also Radar Contact.Martin

Iv just flown a 3 hour flight from Heathrow to JFK in the SSTSIM. (Taken me weeks to nail that, i tell ya!)So, there I was at FL580 at Mach 2, when RC bought me down and started to vector me to Final.Following the vectors and i was told to intercept the Localiser. The thing is, i was vectored to cross it too far for my trusty nav radios to see it, and i shot straight passed it. So, i filed a missed approach and went round again. This time RC had me come in from another direction (based on my position when i called the missed approach).Same thing happened... I was so excited last night when I found this product. I have been searching for a replacement for ATC in FSX because FSX ATC is so basic. Then I started reading through the manual and I checked out some youtube vids and became less enthusiastic.I have not used the program yet but when I read the feature list it seems like with the exception of emergencies and holds, FSX ATC does most all the things RADAR Contact does. Am I missing something?Then I listened to Radar Contact on youtube and was not at all impressed by the voices. It didn't sound like radio traffic at all. Hi Guys - Is it possible to start RC mid-flight? The reason i ask is that i have a favourite flight saved from before i purchased RC. Not sure if its relevant, but the flight is saved at cruise level before descent.This would be very handy if its possible!Thanks!

have a problem with rc by decent level fl120 I get several messages that I must down to fl120 even if I lie on 12000 will not further I use the pmdg 737 and panel shows 12,000

Everytime I attempt to fly into KORD either FSX or FS9 RC4 does not recognize KORD as my final destiantion for some reason it thinks I'm 400+ miles from KORD when in reality I'm only minutes away. KORD is the only airport that I have found so far to have this issue, has anyone else seen this? I have been using RC for a couple of years now - great - recommend it to everybody I come into contact with in my FS circles.Today, after taking off from EGCC for HEGN I followed instructions on heading, altitude and after passing 10,000 feet increased speed from 250 to 280 kts as indicated in the Werner Schott (B757) checklist that I have used for ages.I was then chastised and instructed to reduce speed to not more than 250 kts!After passing through FL150 I again increased speed and received a further reprimand!This continued on up to FL310 - at that point I gave up and shut down :( The only change (recent) has been the installation of REX - having said that I have flown…

All,I have just got RC4 last night and installed it, all is well and works a treat.I have one question.I use two monitors, usualy have one screen as the flight area and the other as a blank screen that I can drag other windows onto, like the 'old' ATC window GPS etc. the screens are not stretched (as win 7 still has the same limitations as Vista)I tried this last night with the RC ATC window and it doesnt let me enter any thing when its on the second screenmove it back to the main and it works.Am I missing something or is it a limitation.thanks in advanceQuad core running at 3.28 Gb 1.5tb storage (FSX on dedicated drive)ATI 4890Win 7-64PS.RC is so cool why have I missed …

Could by chance v5 of Radar Contact give take-off clearence before I get onto the runway?So as I am taxi toward the holding point and there is little to no traffic, tower will just clear me for takeoff instead of having enter the runway and stop.

I reinstalled rc4.3 after I installed windows 7 (64bit) and fsx. I got myselve a new key. When I try to load a flightplan, it gives an error: 713: msttdfmt.dll needs to be installed. See screen!I downloaded the dll file and installed in in my system32 folder (but also in the syswow64 folders, since I wasn't sure). I keep getting this error.I run rc as administrator. Ok, I know, silly silly question... if I buy RC4 today, when RC5 comes out, I will probably have to buy it again, right? I ask because some products are "upgradeable" and some you have to buy over and over again when the new version comes out.

Hi there,I have been using RC for some time now and I am enjoying it very much, and I can not go back to the default ATC. However, I have been encountering some problems.1. FS will crash if I use the "check for weather" option at certain airports, such as KSFO(fly tampa) and EGLL(aerosoft). The problem happens because RC and FS have different ATIS frequencies. So, changing the RC frequency and making it the same as FS's should solve the problem. But it would be nice if there was a fix.2.
