Until RC 5 is released, a small trick that allows me to be assigned to a parking gate after arrival.After RC gives you "taxi to the ramp" you turn it off,it gives you the option.When RC is off then you open the ATC window and you tune ground and then you ask for a gate.ATC gives you the gate and also you can turn on progressive taxi or use Follow-me 1.0 to get to the gate.The only problem is that often this gate is occupied by AI aircraft.I am using UT2 and I do not know how I could solve this problem.If you have any idea tell me.In order to be able to use default ATC after you turn off RC without interfering to RC you have only to have checked in the General settings of …

I just did a flight from MIA to ATL and noticed that I was given squawk 2x 1 when getting clearance and then before my approach. Is this normal or did I do something wrong?

I have a question whether the priority that an AFCAD is given has any influence on how RC / ATC executes it's tasks.I explain the issue:I still use FS Navigator in combination with several other tools and sources for route planning. Today I got aware of that for some airports Fs Navigator doesen't read the addon AFCAD although the FS Navigator database is properly updated. There may be several reasons for this. I have one little request for RC 5, hoping I am not being too bold.Would it be possible to have RC5 handle intersection takeoffs, since when I am flying some of my smaller planes, like a MD-80 or a JS41, there is really no need to use the whole 1300 ft runway. My last flight on American Airlines was in a blizzard out of O'Hare Intl' and ATC was having all the smaller planes line up and take off about half way down the runway, and also Topcat has the ability to calculate takeoff data or such takeoffs as well.

Hi all!I just got my RC4.3 a few weeks ago. Seems like a great addon, and I'm really enjoying it, altough I'm having some issues with it. Until this moment I wasn't able to find answers to these problems on the manual.:1. Conflicting weather data. I use FSX own weather system, Real World Weather with updates every 15 min. When I click "ATIS" on RC main screen I can hear both ATIS: FS's ATIS and RC's ATIS. Also, weather data differs sometimes drastically (from calm winds to 10kts, and temperatures discrepancy of 5 degrees). 2. I just installed RC V 4.3, loaded a flightplan, and everything seems to be operating normally, but I got ATC messages from both Radar Contact and also FS2004I hear a message for an AI from RC for an AI plane and immediately I hear instructions from FS2004 ATC for the same plane. How can I disable the FS2004 ATC?ThanksJuan

I originally thought the problem was isolated to changing allocated items in the ATC General options, but the problem persisted after I left that alone. My problem;Usually on arrivals the controller will tell me to contact XXX on 123.45 (for example). Hi Today i set up a flight from Heathrow to Houston and after filing my flight plan i received instuctions to taxi to and hold short on runway 27L. Along with other traffic (Ultimate Traffic) we proceeded along the taxi way, eventually comming to a halt stuck in a que. With the lead traffic receiving instrctions to taxi and hold and then be given permission to take off but then it all stopped, we all just sat there with the traffic slowly dissappearing in front of my eyes about every five minutes. Now i'm aware that FS9 has a built in timer for AI that if it doesn't move for a bout 5 minutes it will remove it, but why did RC4 stop giving out instructions. Can you reques…

HelloI've noticed that the last 4 times I've flown with RC I've been given final approach vectors to capture the localized to far from the airport, the localizer never comes alive and I end up over shooting the approach until I disconnect the AP and fly back toward the runway. I fly the PMDG J41 and have in the past had success using RC and approach vectors to the ILS runway, but the last flights to Hilton Head, Jacksonville, Tampa and Miami, I've been turned to final some 25 miles plus from the runway, out of reach of the localizer and as I say I never capture it. Does RC actually control AI traffic or are the instructions comming from FSX's ATC engine? The reason I ask is that I use Ultimate Traffic 2 and now that I can run a @#$% load of traffic in areas like KATL, KORD, ect ect, I am having problems with traffic crossing a runway to taxi to the gate after it lands. There seems to be enough time for it to do it but they will sit and wait till there are no more at the hold line ready to take off. Hopefully I made sense with my description. Thanks, Jim

Hi, everyone.Im using these two great products but in this case it seems that RC its intercepting keypresses that are not on the list. For example CTRL + SHIFT + Y.I tested it only with FS9 and it worked and then opened and started RC4 and that key stop working. I am currently running FSX on dual core 3.2 gig processors. I have FSUIPC running as well as VRInsight's M-Panel and Saitek's X52 Pro Control System and their switch panel. Does anyone have any feel for how much additional load will be added if I am also running the latest level of Radar Contact Version 4? I am very impressed with everything that I have read about Radar Contact and have downloaded the manal so am serious about buying the product if it is feasible to run it on my system. I am still using the default Flight Planner but am looking to mate something better with RC. Any ideas?

hiI just bought RC4, and managed to install it under Windows 7. I am an FSX user.Somehow, the FSUIPC text display did not install, but I downloaded the ZIP file and copied the DLL into the "Modules" folder of FSX.Now, I can see the text display when I run FSX, but I do not hear any ATC voices, and I am not able to interact with the window. I.e., when I press 2, 3 etc as displayed in the window nothing happens. I changed all number keypresses to Ctrl+number, the display then show C2, C3 etc, but again no key inputs seems to work.I have the LDSIM 767 installed, I have also tried other FSX airplanes, but no luck. I have disabled ActiveSkyX, still have Ultimate Traffic 2 r…

HiThis is important if RC5 is for me or not. Will it support VFR flights without filing a flightplan like default FSX ATC and real world flying, allowing me to contact the appropriate controller only when entering their airspace class B,C,D, or must I follow a strics path flying from A to B for it to work (Flight simulator adventure like if you will).Also will the ATC boundaries for each class of airspace be up to date and realistic like real world when it comes to frequecy and location. If not, can we somehow edit the airspace boundaries and frequencies ourselves? I understand of course that there is a lot of airspace in the world so perhaps it's a too big of a task to g…

I am having a difficult time hearing the RC 4 controllers. Changing the sliders in FSX (reducing engine and cockpit environment volume) hasn't helped. Between the comms taking place with ai a/c and other radio traffic I am missing some info from centers. The only way I've found to get around the problem is to turn comms over to the co-pilot and i don't usually fly a real plane with a co-pilot. Is there some other volume control that is just for RC 4? Btw...There is already one FAA hearing scheduled for me regarding a couple of violations. Do I try to blame it on the volume? or is that too much like "the dog ate my homework"? :(

SO i use this all the time and it always give me WX at my current position, why? I dont care wut the wind/temp or QNH is at FL350, I need the field WX so I can figure out the rwy I'm going to use and the STAR that will bring me there. I am using FSX Vista x64 and ASA. Hi, I did a quick check of this forum and did not see anything about it. I can't imagine anyone not asking but I'll try.. Will V5 have ATC accents corresponding to the controller airspace you are in? So if I am under Roma control then I would expect to hear Italian accents. I have to tell you, although I am excited about any improvement you have made in V5, this would be the one area I would be glad to pay for if nothing else changed. I think V4.3 is excellent save for the voices and accents. I understand there may be some thrid party voiceovers made but nothing says "wow I just crossed the pond and I'm in another country" like hearing the controller accents ch…
