Hi all.I purchased RC4 about 2 years ago, I think, and I am now beginning to use it after all that time. What have I been waiting for RIGHT? LOL. I have done okay so far. I do however have one question. Is it possible to disable FS9's ATC once and for all instead of having to do it every single time I start FS9??? .............John (ancient sim pilot)

I have a scenery for RJGG, which does not come with the default fs2004. I have a folder for all my AFCAD's at the highest scenery priority, and it's afcad is in there. When I rebuild the RC scenery library, that airport is never recognized.In contrast, VTBS, which also does not come with the stock game, works fine.any ideas? I'm using the newest makerwy.thanks

Hello guys,today I get an idea for Version 5. Is it possible to change the sound channel in version 5? So I can use a headset only for RC, while my speakers are the output for the other sounds. (MSFS, FS2Crew and PMDG)At the moment I have my headphones declared as the Standard-Output. Now all sounds coming through the headphones except for the FSX.In FSX I change the option so my speakers are used by FSX. The problem is, that PMDG sounds (all the cockpit sounds) and FS2Crew used the headphones.As example:ATC through the headset (good)AI-aircraft through the speakers (good)engine sounds through the speakers (good)All other aircraft sounds through the headphones (bad)If I c…

I'm flying from West Virginia to Detroit. The obvious STAR is LLEEO1 which begins for me at the DJB VOR. FSX however does not have LLEEO in it's data base, although my RXP GNS530 has it, and the STAR in it's database. If I use it however, I will not be on my flight plan course and ATC (RC) will jump on me for being off course. Is there a way I could handle this and actually fly the STAR?

I was just wondering what Departure and Approach was called in the Hawaii area in RCv5. Is it "Honolulu Departure/Approach" or "HCF Depature/Approach"? Also, is that the ATC callsign for all airport Approach/Departure Controls apart from Hilo (ITO)?

Hi guys,I'm having an FSX AI problemMy AI are working fine except they appear to be leaving a large gap behind me when taxing This gap is clearly too big.I thought it was a radar contact issue but it's happening with default ATC and also at default airports all over.I've posted over at world of AI to see if it's their problem but I cant put my finger on it!Is there a FSX.cfg tweak that controls this etc?RichThought i'd show you the issue in a screenshot with default ATC to see if you could shed any light on the matter

I was just thinking while I was reading a post on another thread about diversions.Would it be possible to incorporate a random generator that would cause the destination airfield to close and require a diversion to the alternate? Such incidents could be on the runway (gear up landing, etc) or security threat in the terminal, thunderstorm, low visibility, etc? It should be a low probability (less than 1%) or a user configurable probability (0-100%) to have the ability to have it selected on or off (for those who fly for VAs).Just an idea. Something like the hold probability generator already in v4.

Hello,I apologize if this was covered in another post and I missed it. In the FSX General Settings under Air Traffic Control I have unchecked Show Message Log in ATC Menu, Auto Open ATC Window, and Use a Pilot Voice. However I am still hearing the FSX ATC ATIS and some traffic on approach and center control when I am using Radar Contact. I using the Radar Contact Box with the default keyboard key commands. Is there something else I can do to not hear MS ATC when using Radar Contact?Thanks,Mark

Would it be possible to improve the ATIS code so we would hear, for example, landing and departing runways 27L and 27R..presently RC only identifies one runway no matter how many are active...

I have a copy of Radar Contact 4, version RC43-02-08-01.zip. I attempted to install the product on a new computer that uses Windows 7 Pro64 as its OS. I install the producted requested the key via email and everything seemed to be ok. Started FS9 and loaded a fly plan but things didn't work quite right.The red dialog box within FS9 appeared but I was unable to receive either weather or clearance. I am certain that I mess up up somewhere in the post installation phase. Prior to my first flight do I need to regenerate the the DB files? Recently I had real trouble getting the AI to take off......turned out the simple solution was that I didnt have AI chatter checked in the options.With that problem solved I have another curious problem.It would appear that the AI aircraft behind me do take off after me but leave a huge gap and noone ques up directly behind me.Also I was taxing perfectly behind an aircraft the other day and it got close to the runway and decided to stop and go no futher for no good reason. I heard over the ATC that it had eventually taken off but it's like nothing wants to come too close behind me!Any help?thanks

Unfortunately I'm now having some rather frustrating problems with it. I see from looking at the forums that a few others have reported the same issue, but as there doesn't seem to be a decisive fix indicated anywhere, I thought I'd try posting the problem again.Basically I was doing a flight from EGKK to GCLP. Hi, just a quick question.At the moment, im flying the new Concorde-X plane with RC.With the concorde, when it gets to around FL450 - FL550, the procedure is to enter what i called Max Cruise mode. Basically, the plane targets FL600 as efficiently as it can. Due to the nature of the plane at Mach 2.02, the climb can be very slow, sometimes taking around 10 mins to climb 1000ft. Yes, this mean that the plane is in a contant climb until it either hits FL600, or it reaches top of descent.As you can imagine, the poor ATC person in RC is getting stressed that im not climbing quick enough!How can i get round this in RC? Is there a way to lift 250 speed limit at arrilval phase? I take it off for take off and it works nice, however never got a chance to get 250 lifted for approach phase...

Because I messed up on takeoff I missed a waypoint in my Sid (a supertight turn) but RC didnt say anything and I was back on track in a minute.At FL300 and over twenty minutes later, RC tells me I am shown off course - when I am of course on course but with a missing waypoint a million miles back - and to fly "x" heading until receiving suitable for navigation.Why would this happen?
