I recently turned off the play pilot wavs and tune on contact options in RC4, so that I would have to do all the talking and tuning of the radios, and I have found two things that would make this even more realistic,One would be the ability to for RC to see the second comm radio, as when I fly on VATSIM I will have tower on the left with departure on the right, so when I get switched over, I just switch over to the right radio. In Radar Contact when I try to do this, I do not contact departure, and I have to do everything with just the one radio, which can add on to a workflow by quite a bit.Second would be a feature like this" if I get passed over to a new frequency, I …

I missed a waypoint and ATC kept telling me I was off course.I've searched the forum and the advice is to choose direct to next waypoint and that it is covered in the manual.I found change destination but not go direct to next waypoint.How do I do this?Thanks,Ron

I just noticed with ut2, RC4 will not say United for a call sign, instead it just says uniform, anyone have this problem and can it be fixed? I know this is probably not a RC4 issue but it would be nice to here atc pronounce United, I believe it woked with my WOAI traffic.

This question is regarding ATC placine planes to holding. Unfortunatley still I have not experienced being holded due to weather - despite the option turned on in the settings.We all know that in reality in busy places like EDDF, KJFK, KLAX etc... due to heavy traffic planes are assigned to hold due to traffic. Will this be possible to implement such in version 5?

Upgraded XP to Win 7. Now when I try to load a plan I get Run-time Error 62 ". . . get_departure_information" and RC closes. I run RC as an adminstrator and have tried running it in XP compatibility mode. Help please. Love RC and don't want to change to something else for FSX. Ray

Good morning, Just would like to know if RC will have problems detecting and using airports updated via tools such as ADE and placed on the Add On folder? I do quite a bit of airport updates to keep them as close to real (feature, comm, etc...). Also, are updates free or there's a fee for them?Thanks

I have VISTA Extreme Ultimate 64, FSX and Radar Contact. All current versions.My question is how do I get Radar Contact voice to come thru my headset and not my speakers. Using FSX ATC the sounds come thru the speakers and ATC voice come thru my headset. I can't get that to work the same way with Radar Contact. Radar Contact ATC and Pilot voice and sound come thru my speakers. Nothing thru the headset.What do I have to do to make it work?Thanks to all who reply.Bill

Hi JD,Today I have been trying to use RCV and out on no where. as soon as I start RC4 I get my plane slewed somewhere over the water, and the sim goes to pause.I don't know why this is happening. it does it on all airports.Please adv how to solve it and why it just happened out of no where.Thanks in advanceHani

This morning I upgraded FSUIPC from 4.50 to 4.57. Thereafter I am experiencing some problems with RC4. I also use VRInsight's M-Panel and now find that I must load RC4 before SerialFP2 or RC4 does not work. I do not recall having that problem before. I also find that Menu 0 no longer works. And if I click on the minimized RC4 I now get Runtime 76 relating to FSUIPC and RC4 is gone. I was not sure where to start, here or Peter's support forum, so I thought that I would start here. Any ideas?

I am still new to using RC and have only done 4 or so actuall flights with it and have a flight plan question. Last night I did KATL to KORD in the Level D 767 and a problem that has happened in my last flight happened again. THe problem is getting assigned a new squawk multiple times durring a flight. Last time it happened 2x and on the KATL-KORD it happened 3x, 1st when getting clearance and the 2 more times in the flight after contacting a new Center. Not a big issue as JD says that it does happen randomly but 3X ? Hi all. I'm begining to really enjoy ,ost elemens of this product. However, I hope that the program's interaction with AI can be improved. I made two long flights into KSTS over the past few days, both ending with collisions with AI and other AI anomolies. Here is the story I'm trying to understand. Approaching KSTS, 40 miles out, I am told to expect rwy 32. I request full ILS. The winds are southernly (195 @4-10kts), so runway 19 would be more appropriate. But I understand that RC will assign the runway that AI are using even if it is not oriented well for the wind. So I just accepted the oddity. I have just started using RC4. However, I also use VRInsight's M-Panel. The M-Panel Baro mode follows the altimeter guage reading, which is always in inches regardless what setting you use in FSX. This was previously not a problem but now the only way that I am using RC4 in England the only way I seem to be able to compensate is to each time convert the millibar value to inches. Some aircraft will show the millibars when you hover the mouse over the adjustment knob but some do not. What are others doing?

After I am instructed to taxi and hold short of departure rwy, I aknowledge and tax, then I wait there for a long time, last time I waited at EDDS for 42 minutes, there were planes arriving at the same rwy, but sometimes there were 15 to 17 miles separation, and I still had to wait. I brought RC the other night and decided to do some flights..Last night's flight was ok but today somthing happended i cant understand..I was happily flying from EGKK - EGAA when half way throught the flight when the controler gave me a vector that was almost reverseing my course so i just did it anyway and after 10-15 mins thee was no word from them so I just resumed my flightplan when i got to the same waypoint again I was given a repramand my atc asking do i need special assistance and re vectored me back reverseing my course again...This ruined my flight and forced me to shut down fs9.. :( Any idea why ATC was being like this?

I am having issue with RadarContact when flying airplane like A320 (Wilco/feelThere). I am having issues with sharp turns. For example when I create a flight plan with a SID on departure, SID might contains a couple of relatively sharp turns with very short legs (2-10 nm). It very often happens that Airbus will turn sooner so that it reaches the waypoint. The problem is that RadarContact will not see me reaching the waypoint and it will stay on the previous waypoint. I would then have to manually request direct fly to the next waypoint. Unfortunately before I get the approval the plane is already turning to the next waypoint on my SID. :-(What is the right think to do her…

With out any problem suddenly RC lost sound. Mini screen continue to function with out sound. How can I repair the sound? Do I need un-install and install the RCv4.3 ?RegardsSanal

I have been using RC for some days and I am really impressed with it.I find though that a big problem is not assigning an arrival gate.If you assign a gate yourself it is often occupied by AI aircraft.It would be great not only to be assigned to a gate but given instructions to it as well.One question.Is it possible to have RC from my headset as I have this option with default ATC?And one more question.When is RC 5 planned because the last update from the blog is already some months old.Thanks

I have recently installed RC on my Vista 32bit PC but I'm having the "713 and unregistered dll's" problem when I try to load my FSBuild2 flight plans into RC. I've followed the instructions in the "713 and unregistered dll's" post but without success. The eror message I got after following the instructions in the post was : "The module msstdfmt.dll failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files. The specified module could not be found." Hey, in the RC 4 Program after you have made up your flight plan in the area where it says your ARR DEP ALT ect and tells u all the frequencys there a little box that lets you slect your runways, what does that actually, cannot find ir in the manua;l. Thanks

On my last two flights with RC, shortly after takeoff, I've been told to go on a heading that does not get me on my flight plan. I thought maybe it was just vectoring for traffic, but after several minutes of going the wrong way, I decided to request a direct to to get me back on track.
