Well, as far as I can understand from reading other posts, the only way to add a new call-sign to RCv4 is to send an email to the developer (sorry, I'm a newbie, don't know your name). The question is: Is there a tool or utility to add call-signs manually like in EditVoicePack? If not, do you have any plans to address this issue in your future releases? Thank you very much!

Hey all There probably is a logical explanation to this on but ive done research to no avail. I think RC is a fantastic product but i sem to need a few answeres on a few things.Tutorial flights were good but my issue lies deeper then that.Understandibly fs atc is horrible when it comes to real life planning and executing a real plan in regards to departing and arriving an airport with atc guidance. I understand RC lifts alot of the quirks of fs but one thing i found odd, was after all the research i did to find a realistic flight plan and creating the plan along with the plates, i realized importing this into my FMC was no sweat. Have been using Radar Contact, FSUIPC and FSX for many years without significant problem.Toward the end of my last 3 flights, I noted that Radar Contact was not working. However, it worked perfectly during the first 1/2 - 2/3rds of each flight.I opened the RC Window and there was the following error:Run Time Error '76'RC.fsuipc.rcv4codeAny idea what this means and what to do to fix it.Never saw this before.Thank you, Al

I got this idea: how about making ( seldom) the controller correct his own words: "American 123, fly heading 180...correction, fly heading 190" It's unpredictability like this that makes rc feel so real, how about taking it further like this..you could even make the probability depend on traffic density...

On the ground at KEWN, I started my RC4 and selected a flight orginating from KDTW.My airplane was hurled through space to KDTW but once there, for the first time my KDTW airport scenery was about 200 feet in the air!This phenomenia is for KDTW only.What do I do to get my Detroit airport scenery on the ground?Thanks, zach

HiThere's an issue that happened to me a few times: When I am in cruise sometimes the ATC tells me that "i'm not showing up on radar" or something, and orders me to "fly heading XXX until suitable for navigation. Proceed direct when able", and doesn't stop ordering until I turn. The problem is: that heading puts me off-courseWhy does ATC tell that? And what should I do?

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE RC4, I rarely fly without it and I'm really excited to see what 5 will have to offer. But... I do dislike the controller attitudes, ESPECIALLY when you're being yelledat for something bogus. Let me give an example, controller gives me a new altitudeduring ascent, I reach over to adjust the AP, and within like 10 seconds I get thisreally SNOTTY "SIR WATCH YOUR ALTITUDE... blah blah blah", really ticks me offthat I don't have an option to say "SIR, why don't you chill and give the plane achance to ascend" or something much less polite :( You have some hard coded timing loop in there that times out to fast on fasterprocessors perhaps? …

I use RC 4.3 in a networked configuration with FS9. I tried using RC with a flight from DTTA Tunis to EKCH Kastrup. I used ASE for weather. I loaded the PMDG 747-400. Started to setup the plane and when arriving to the point where I should contact ATC I first manually tuned the frequency to 118.67 which is correct according to FS9 and charts I have. I got scrolling text but no sound. According to RC ATC freq should be 118.00 why don't thet agree? Then I manually tuned 118.00 and I got ATIS information as sound. Has RC any problems with ASE? I saw scrolling text being frozen sometimes. I have recently updated the database in RC.

I just got the SSTSIM Concorde today and I noticed that with RC4, when I try to have "Otto" fly the plane, nothing happens. I do not hear "your plane"Am I doing something wrong or does "Otto" not fly this plane? I have been using RC4 for a long time, so something does not seem right here.Thanksjps611

With the upcoming V5, I have determined I'm going to need to use RC on two machines: our A320 simulator plus my personal FS rig. We also have a C172 sim we're planning to use the program on, but that's not decided yet. Will I need to get two or three physical discs, or do you offer multi-licensing? What about volume discounts?

I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me how to tell RC that I want to use a STAR into a Airport. I understand how to setup a SID, by placing a waypoint within 30mi of the Departure airport. When I do that the Controller Info shows "Departure Procedure w/ Altitude Restrictions". Also after pressing the Controller Info button, I'm able to select Dep Procedure with and without Altitude restrictions.Should I also see something that tells me that I am using an Arrival?

I have been searching for a solution to this problem since I bought RC4 this week, but due to nature of this forum and the issue I have not been able to find the information. Plus, the various manual for this product do not give me any insight.Every time I click on a wave file in the menu, for example under Voices or under plane data, I get an APPhang crash and have to shut down. This continues into FS when I first try to interact with the program. Instead, FS ATC works with the RC 4 window saying Standby. In short since buying this program I have not been able to use it. Several times when I'm lined up on a runway for takeoff, AI will freeze on my runway. I understand that RC purposefully freezes AI to prevent runway incursions. Shouldn't RC make certain that the AI is not already on the runway before it freezes it?If this has already been discussed, please just provide a link. I am unable to rebuild the database for FSX, i get a message "run tiime error 75 path file access error" If i right click the icon and try to run as administrator, RC shows up as unregistered. I am using Avast anti virus. Thanks. Have now found that i can't activate controllers voices....runtime error 75 Radar contact.RCV4 Module.atc-ack. Chatter pilot vioces are working fine.

I just recently purchased RC. When I first started running it, I found I was missing the msstdfmt.dll and it wasn't in my windows\wow64 directory. I had to download it from the internet and then I was able to install as the Pinned topic suggested.I was then able to rebuild the databases and then finally run RC from within FSX. The problem I'm seeing now is that RC takes forever to see a keypress once I start and I'm sitting at the airport. I see the RC display on my screen and I try to get ATIS by hitting the key and it sometimes takes like 10 or 20 sec to respond. Sometimes not at all. RC4 and my weather engine ASE (Active Sky Evolution) are often not even close on altimeter settings.ASE is always correct...its setting give correct field elevation.RC4 is picking up something else... So if I fly ASE settings, RC4 says I have busted my altitude.Is there any way to get RC4 to give ASE altimeter settings?Thanks,zach

How about having the controllers and pilots greet each other according to the time of day? Would require three wavs like good morning, good evening, good afternoon. Then RC would detect local time and randomly apply to a set percentage of initial contacts. Would make it interesting on long-hauls as the time zones change.

Hello,I really enjoy using Radar Contact for my IFR flights in many different aircraft. One of my favorite features is that you can tell ATC what callsign you wish to use. However, I couldn't figure out how to get ATC to use "Heavy" in the callsign to me. I tried adding an H after the flight number or just spelling out HEAVY but neither of those actually get ATC to say "Heavy". Any ideas?Thanks,Mark

Is there a way to change the text color in the menus? Mine is red and it is difficult to read. I would like to change it to green if possible.

Hi gents,As typically happens with me and computers, I hit a glitch and have no idea what to do. I hope you can help me. I start RC4.3.3845 just as instructed: load program, load flight plan, etc., hit the Start buton and always get a window that says," IPC timed out all retries". Hi,Had RC running and working with FS9 until Windows decided it's time for a crash. Reformatted my drive, this time using FSX, loaded and installed the RC4 program, of course the old key did not work, so I send an email and within 10 mins got a new key. The first thing that struck me was the new key is twice as long as the original, anyway, I copied and pasted it into the key field box. RC waits a moment then as promised shuts down. Now comes the weird part: When I click to start RC, a lil window pops up searching for Active Aky 6. I don't have AS6 anymore. It wants me to look in my temp folder or that the program is installed on a network drive, which I do not have, so I…

This error still pops up frm time to time and I was told it is related to file/s not being accessible. All programs are set for "run as admin". I have tried several times to remove "Read Only" from the 2.0 folder in Users/.../Apps/.../2.0 but it always resets to "Read Only". Is that part of the problem?Any input appreciated. It really wouldn't bother me except itusually happens somewhere about halfway to the destinatio :(
