Hello,I've been using Radar contact for a couple of months now and this month started to use it on a new PC (with Win7, previous was WinXP).I have a few issues since I started using it on my new PC.First; for example, RC comes up with runways that totally not exist at certain airports. (Like runway 1R and runway 1L at EHAM).I don't use any add-on scenery at EHAM.Second; RC doesn't seem to understand where I am, as it doesn't hand me over to the tower when I'm taxiing to the runway at airports that do have the right runway numbers.I've tried to run Rebuild Scenery DB several times, and every time it just completes normally, but the problem is still there.Any of you know wh…

HiI have been using Radar Contact 4.3 for about 2 months and love it. I use it with Ultimate Traffic 2 on FSX and for the most part it works great, but I really don't get why RC is getting some call signs wrong, for example RC calls all BMI aircraft "BRAVO" this includes Baby and regional. It also refers to all easyjet aircraft as "easyjet" when it should be just "easy". I also here lots of other stange callsigns over the UK with RC but have not yet pinned them down to an airline.any help would be welcome.

Does anyone know why Approach is so quick to vector you, befoe you have chance to ask for an IAP ? Every time I get 50 miles from Milan, and I want to stay at 16000 due to mountains, I get handed to approach. Then within seconds, I get into a conversation that always requires an acknowledgement, that lasts about 5 minutes. I know it's all a waste of time as I'm only gonna ask for an IAP anyway, and so I totally ignore all the stuff he's reeling off. It happens every time and really, all that is needed if for the Approach controller to give the user ONE minute to ask for an IAP before blurting on a bou vectors here and vectors there. It is really annoying me to be…

I am aware of how to fly a "full ILS" in RC, but I have come across a problematic situation.Essentially, the STAR only takes one to a "holding point" from where vectors are apparently given to the localiser which begins some 15 miles directly west of the this holding point.Details:Zurich has MSA of around 4500ft, ILS 14 CAT II approach starts where loc is intercepted at 4000ft, from Gipol via HOC.Now, my query is, given I will be vectored from Gipol in real world, how do I effect this in FS ?Clearly, I will be vectored long before HOC (15 miles from airfield) long before the any of the STARS that use Gipol as the FAF.Therefore, I would need to ask for full ILS, in my case…

When using RC with FS9 I toggle the display window off and on by pressing a button on the keyboard. I implement this functionality by assigning a button for it in FSUIPC.My question is simple this. Do I need the registered FSUIPC for FSX if I wan't the same functionality in FSX?

Hi.Just got Radar Contact 4.3 for FS9. So set up everything like the manual says. But my question is, Radar contact will not have control over my AI for Traffic 2004. The AI stick to the FS9 ATC and it becomes confusing while i'm trying to talk to ATC and the AI are doing it at the exact same time. Is this normal?Stephen

Will RCv5 implement the U.S FSS system in any way? In their airspace system, it's quite a big help when flying VFR :(

I had to reinstall everything from scratch and have a problem. I installed all the dll files to not get the error reports. I also put makerwys.exe in the fsx root directory and ran to from there, generating all the files from makerwys. Still, when I start RC4, when I try to rebuild the database, it asks if this is a widefs configuration. I answer no and I get the error message "makerwys.exe is not in your fs path, which should be. I'm a bit confused. How can I make RC find the correct path as the file is definitely where it should be. thanks

That's the first time it happened. I was 80nm from destination and ATC told me to to fly heading opposite to my current heading (I think it said something about holding, but it spoke too fast for me to catch all of it). So I flew it for 40 nm without ATC contacting me again. Then I got bored and turned around thinking that something went wrong with RC. When I was 40nm from my destination ATC contacted me again issuing some strange heading commands making me flying big S shaped track 20nm from airport and changing heading instructions every 20 seconds, then it said it wasn't that hard and I should contact approach. At this time I was 8000ft AGL and 30nm from airport. So wha…

I have recently been flying a lot in Latin America. I have all the World of Aviation airline packages installed for the region. I have been flying listening to the AI chatter, which correspond to the ai aicraft taxing or flying in my general area. I can see them on the map on a secomg computer running FS Commander 8 on a widefs mode. The problem is that the ATC calls all LAN group aircfraft "Lan Ecuador" regardless if they were from "Lan" (Chile), "Lan Argentina", "Lan Peru" and "Lan Ecuador"I reviewed the Aicraft and the Flightplan txt files and everything is ok. I have checked the aircraft cfg files for every LAN Group aircraft files and all have the correct "atc_airlin…

FSX and FS9 users should read page 40 of the ASE User Manual about the affects of using Global Mode. This for FSX is forced on when using DWC.In global mode weather is only updated every ten minutes according to the weather at your aircraft position worldwide. This will cause erroneous FSX and FS 9 ATIS reports as stated in the manual and by derivation incorrect AI patterns in many cases. The manual states only Flightwatch (122.8) can give the correct weather in global mode. RC reports FS weather and in global mode RC ATIS can be incorrect as well as Approach runway assignments due to incorrect AI patterns and wweather changes as you approach.Check in the ASE manual pages…

Gentlemen,I finally am comfortable using RC4 and even though things still happen occasionally that I don't understand, I really enjoy the experience.I would like to use a voice listed under Controllers as a Copilot voice (not listed under Copilots). Is there a file I can change to allow me to do that.<br />Tnx,Dick Graham

After flying years with RC, changed my system to Win7 64 Ultimate .Installed RC again got my activation. Interesting things happening. Tried several flights. For ex. Start RC try to contact ground. The frequency is there. A beep ton comes with N/A text. Then i request RWY he directs me to that RWY then says contact tower as usual when i get closer to the RWY. But then again he forgets me. Or says i am the number three even there is no other aircraft. Or he lets me descent to 12000 then no more directions. Same problems happens with my Co-Pilot also. Controller says contact Approach he acknowleged the command but doesnt contact the Approach.Any help.I rebuild the Database …

Good morning gents,As usual I can't sort this out myself so I need your help. I can't save the Radar Contact point that matches an in-flight situation that I want to save and return to. I have Radar Contact 4.3.3845 and OS Windows 7. I followed the instruction in the manual (which I think is really for 4.1)...ie., hit semicolon--enter file name --quit RC. This action saves the flight but when I start RC and ask it to load "Previously Saved RCD's", the file is not there to be re-started. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.Thank youGrandpa

I Also run ActiveSky Evolution on the networked laptop. On some occasions RadarContact stops working and I get the following message: fsuipc_wait, can't get D008 to change from 14377660 always 14377660I can click away that message only to see it return a few moments later.Together with that message, Radar contact stops sending messages and no more sound is heard...any idea what could be causing this...Luc BrusselmansBelgium

Hi,I recently bought amsterdam X, but the problem is dat RC doesn't find the airport. When I fly to the airport the last waypoint is schiphol according the flightplan (inserted from FSBuild), RC does not show this waypoint, and it sends me to 3150m to nowhere. When I start at schiphol, and I start RC, it sends the plane to a point in the middle of the sea.I've done the database update, and I found no problems with other new add-ons.Can you help me with this?thanks Raymond

I was flying in UK, during arrival I was told to descent to 3500 at altimeter 1003, so I pressed B (altimeter reset) but it was 1009. Should I just set it manually to 1003 and leave it there unless told it's different? After landing it was 1003 at the airport, so I figured that controller wanted me to fly at airport altimeter, is that correct?Greg Furmanski

Tonight I flew from Prestwick (EGPK) and when I got clearance, I was assigned a closed runway. 03 and 21 are closed in the AFCAD, my scenery data base has been rebuilt, and still it assigns me 03. I have closed runways at other airports and I have never has been assigned one before. Any idea's why it keeps assigning me one at EGPK ?

I fly mostly in europe using PMDG JS41. My question is: since altimeter in ariplane doesn't show decimals on milibar scale how should I know when to stop turning the knob? I mean 29.92 in = 1013.2 mb but since thre's no decimal on the gauge it will Show 1013mb even when the in settings is 29.91 or 29.93 in inches. That caused my Flight keeper to penalize me for wrong altimeret setting.Last flight was (from FS Flight Keeper)pressure 1014.9 my altimeter 1015.2 but both are showing 1015 in the plane. In inches it's 29.97 and 29.98 so I could easily set that if controller told me altimeter in inches, but since I'm in europe he didn't. So what would be te solution for that?Gre…
