Can someone clarify the STEPS in doing a resume from save please as the RC manual is not clear. Do we have to be IN a flight and LOAD this flight from save? Do we open RC and LOAD RCD FILE from the button? Do we have to re-load our flight plan first in RC and then load RCD file? I don't get it. I somehow got it to resume but it looks like there is definitely an order to things when resuming from save for Radar Contact. If someone can just shed light on what is the correct order of things, I'd appreciate it, because this is getting to be a royal waste of time.Thanks,John

Hi All Got a question. Is there any way of changing the Rate of Speech of the controller when they give you a clearence or give you weather conditions etc. I find that the controllers are speaking too rapidly.Thanks for your help.Harry

Can RC place you in a holding pattern if there is thunderstorms along the route as in real life??? I use Active Sky and it placed me in a hold the other day and there was no weather. I have weather checked in the hold section in RC. And can they vector you around storms or do you have to request to deavate because of weather???

Hello,I was flying one flight, Stockholm-Berlin Tegel. I was taking that flight four times at different times, during the day nd late night.I was used to use the 3-PD to reach the T/D point and then descent.When I am flying those flights in all cases to Berling Tegel I got on 3-PD reuest NEgative the first time then after asking again I got PD to lower Flight Level.When I am flying to Stockholm I am ALWAYS giving a negative on PD. What I am doing is to ask again and again and again until I reach T/D and then accept the descent.Why do I always get negative on PD?I do not know if it can be associated with me using AISmooth? Is Radar Contact somehow not allowing PD cause of …

I have RC4 and am using FS2004 with Win 7. After saving my flights they appear as RC4 files and not RCD files and do not load.I can continue the flight but without RC4.What is the reason for the files being saved as RC4 files and how can I avoid this happening? Thanks.

Hi guys. I have a newb question that has bothering me since I started using RC:What's the expected descent rate, in RL? I ask because I can rarely comply with instructions like "... I need you level on 30 miles or less", or "cross 20 miles from xxx at yyy...". I have a short time to descend several thousand feet and don't know how to do it other than plummeting down.

Good morning all, after some research, I happened on the website of Radar Contact. I don't understand the difference between IYP and Super ATC. Are they two different products? Besides, I am running FSX on Windows 7 64 bit. What would that mean to me if I get RC and IYP or Super ATC? I read the website, but it looks like it has not been updated in a while, that is why I ask on the forum. What is your experience with these products? Would you recommend them? I use otta to fly my acft during the flight. When I start my approaches to my destination there are times when Otto will wait to give control back to me until I am cleared to land and at other times Otto gives the control back to me as soon as approach gives me my final alttitude and heading to intercept the glide slope. Why does it vary as to when he gives control back to me. Also when I get control back early on and I hit the APP button instead of lining up with the ILS my aircraft just immediatly starts dropping and the altitude switch immediatly turns off. Can anyone help.Thanks

Hello,at first, sorry for my bad english, I live in Germany.I use FSX and I will fly a wilco airbus A320 and his FMC should manage the flight. How can I use RC4 together with this aircraft, because I must load a fs-flightplan in RC4? But when the controller say, that I must turn to a heading of e.g. 130 degrees, I can't acknowledge this, because the aircraft is managed by fmc.And then...the controller ist not amused!Thats my problem. How can I use both addons together? An aircraft with fmc in conjunction with rc4. Perhaps, can I do an vfr-flight like similar in FSX?Can anyone help me? Hey all,Can someone tell me how to change the radio frequency numbers in RC4? I found the excel sheet. I have a few real airport frequencies that are not used in the app and I wanted to add them. I can open the excel sheet and see other examples of numbers, but I don't know which numbers are which from left to right? Can anyone clear this up for me please?For instance. Hi,I have RCv4.3 installed on a networked Client PC connected via WideFS. The RC sounds are delivered on the Client PC's speaker. I am finding the (relative) volume of the Chatter too high for comfort, and wanted to reduce it vis a vis the ATC/Co-Pilot conversation. How might I achieve this?Thanks!

I am having issues with keeping Radar Contct Registered. My hard ware Number keeps changeing all the time. I havent done anything to my computer but installed a new grafics card GTX 480 in the last week. and I have hade to reinstall FSX 3 times to get things to work. Finaly I just gave up and did the Nuke option and reinstall Windows 7. I have gottn 18 registrations in 9 months and I still need to get one more. I have had Issues with Simconnect, every time I have tryed to reinstall FSX. I have had Issues with FSX Just not working and refusing to load. Hi,I just noticed after installation of RCv4.3 that the interface is missing the "Rebuild runways button".What's the issue?

He doesnt do anything when I hand him the controls..He doesnt turn the airplane to assgined headings or climbs or decsents to altitudes from ATC. What is the proper way to have it set up so he flys the airplane. I have tried even using the default 737 in FS9 so I know its not a GPS problem. Any help is appreciated.

On my first few flights with RC, on final for KDCA Rwy-1, an AI flight (A320 or B737) passed me on the port side, speeded ahead and landed about 1-2 mile prior. Crossing the shore of the Potomac, I mast have gotten into a wake vortex and suddenly rolled to port and CRASHED into ground short of the runway, ruining an otherwise very good flight!Will RC v5 be able to vector 'us' meaning users into an arrival sequence with AI? or will the conflicts continue? AI cutting in on flights might be good to thrill the newbie FSX gamer but not so great for us who consider FS to be a science project. :)) -Gregory

Been having a problem recently with RC4.Tried to fly from EGLL to DAAG twice on different flight plans in two different aircraft (PMDG 737 and Captain Sim 757) and both times the same problem has happened.Fly the flight fine, definitely don't miss any waypoints or anything, but ATC just seem to forget about me, and give me no instructions to descend or anything, and I'm left flying past the airport at FL33.Also, the "Pause at distance" feature has seemed to stop working too, I don't know if this gives any clues?Any help is greatly appreciated.I also have MeatWater's voice packs include if this makes any difference.

Hi,Started using RCv4.3 with various payware add-on aircraft in FS9.1. My RCv4.3 is installed on a Client PC in a WideFS-enabled network. I found, after much experimentation, that the only keyboard assignments that would be recognised by RC are the numbers 0 to 9, and Ctrl-0 to Ctrl-9 and Shift-0 to Shift-9. I could not get any pure letters (a-z) or Sh-letters or Ctrl-letters to work. I checked and double-checked for keyboard assignment conflicts and am fairly certain the problem does not lie there. Although I have now got full functionality of RCv4.3 with the 30 keys I have found usable on my system, I would be interested to know if anyone else (with a similar or differe…

John,As you will see from your computer I have tried every combination of original Product ID and associated key, to the new Product ID and newly acquired key and RC simply refuses to run. No matter what I do, when I try to run RC I get the same Registration page over and over. Is my only option to uninstall the program and purchase a fresh version from you?Thanks,Eric

Had to uninstall RC and then reinstalled which created requirement for new key. Sent in automatic e-mail and received new key which was pasted into regist'n form. Screen shortly disappeared but when I try to run RC, the Regis'n page returns saying that I am using an unregistered copy. What is lthe problem?Eric
