I was doing a flight from KLAS to KDFW today and wound up with pressures at around 30.37mb. At this level of pressure, RC4 thought I was not at the assigned altitude and kept barking at me for busting it. I made sure my pressure gauge was indeed correct (pressing the letter b.), but it didn't seem to register with RC4 properly. This is the first time I've seen pressures this high and the first time RC4 couldn't interpret it. I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this issue, but it basically forced me to shut down RC4 and land manually.

Hi JD,I just reinstalled RCV4, and since then, almost every flight I get the go around upon every approach, even if there is nothing in front of me.Is there a way to amend this setting.Thanks in advanceHani

I can not here radar contact very well Is there any way I can turn this up? It is there but hard to here .I have turned down my settings in the sim but still no change .This is out of my speakers. Thanks in advance.

Hello..Just bought RC v4 today..Is it possible to SHOW/HIDE the adv box by pressing a key in FSX..Just want to hide it, when not communicating with any..What stands DISPLAY WINDOW for in the keyboard definations..don´t think something happen, when I press a button for this command.Chris from Denmark

Morn'n Folks, I want to try something new... I've been flying FS since maybe FS2 or FS3 - whichever was still monochrome - and - I've never used time compression and only dabbled with heavy's... Recently - with the great new Hawaii scenery from FSDreamteam - I've had the urge to make some pacific crossings... Once I get to altitude - I really don't think I'll have the patience to sit there for like five or six hours to make the journey in real time... Is there an easy way to run the time compression with RC4 running... I seem to recall some options in RC4 - but - I don't have them in front of me now... Hi to all,I am a newbie to rc4 and only purchased the software today. Finally managed to figure out the run-time error 75 missing dll only to now be faced with this"Run-time error '9' radarcontact.fsuipc.rcv4code"each time i try to start Rc.I am using win 7 64 and am running the programme as administator and with uac turned off.I have found other threads reagrding run time errors but not any about this one. Any help would be much appreciated as i am desperate to try RC out and have already spent many hours to get this far!!!Many ThanksRicky

HiI seem to be getting an ATIS transmitted message from FSX and a message on weather from Radar Contact running at the same time - I know this must be down to me - but can anyone point me to what is going wrong here - assuming this is not right. I do have ASE installed but it has not been used since I got Radar contact so I dont think the problem is there. FSUIPC is 4.28.Happening when I try and follow the 1st tutorial KDSM to KORD.Thanks for help or pointers on this issue.Roger McNeill

Does anybody know how far away or close, RC version 5 is ??Because don´t want to spend 44 dollars + taxes & so on at version 4 in the next days...and then version 5 will be released in the near future..Chris from Denmark

Hello...I considering of buying Radar Contact version 4.3..But Im in a doubt... Can I use RC with the REX2 weather engine ?I only fly the new airbus from Aerosoft Airbus X, does RC work with that plane ?Or is RC version 5 very close ?, and I wait to this, instead of buying RC 4.3...Chris from Denmark

Hi,I was doing a flt from EGNM - LEPA in fsx last night I was cleared to the hold for rwy32 as I approached I had a AI aicraft also at the hold checkedto my left and saw a AI aicraft coming in to land the aircraft landed cleared the rwywaited for the aicraft in front to move but it just sat there in the end I went into theoptions setings display and turned of the traffic as it looked like the aicraft was notgoing to movewas using the default airport and trafficany help please Alf

hi guys, i have just reformated my pc, win 7 32 and installed fsx with rc4. I start the sim and rc4 as normal, tune the radio for atis and then try to get clearence, button 3 but it just doesnt happen unless i exit rc and restart, never happened in fs2004. Im using airbus x and ase with rex textures, any ideas? ThanksChris

Hi to everyone, I have a question regarding the 40 nm restriction and Hong Kong.In the real world all the traffic arriving at Kai Tak from the northwest (from Europe) would take the TAMOT STAR, which starts from TAMOT waypoint (to pass at FL150) then turn to the south to descend and then heading towards CH VOR, where the approach began.In FS TAMOT is close to the airfield, 10-15 miles west, and as Radar Contact requires me to be at FL 110-120 at 40 nm from the airport I cannot follow the SID as the real pilots would.Anyone know a way to get around this?Thanks in advance

Hello everyone. I've redownloaded RC as I'm getting back into FSX once again, and I use both FS Commander and FS Build to create my flight plans. I had a perfect flight plan going from KSFO to KLAX via SADDE6.AVE. I'm flying the level-d 767 and while my flight path is perfect for an ILS approach, about halfway through the flight RC ATC comes on and tells me to change course off my flight path. He also tells me to change FL as I was doing fine at FL330, but he wants FL280. The question I have is, why is ATC telling me to change course? I mean it was a complete direction change practically and I don't understand why. I can understand the FL change maybe due to other …

Hi Guys,After reinstalling RC4.3, I have requested and received my new activation code. Having pasted it into the registration window, it does the previously mentioned waiting then closing. On restart it appears again to ask for my code.I have tried adding/removing spaces, typing/pasting, removing the "-" from the the product code and replacing it. None seems to work.Bit of a nightmare really!Hope you can help

Is there or has anyone created a list of the contents of the specifics of each of the Winwood folders? With there being so many of them, I would like to know if there is a list as to the specific locations of the world that each of the winwood folders represents without having to manually look at every folder to determine what part of the world each folder handles. It's obvious what the country folders have. For example, I know that folder 309 is for Denver ARTCC, 113 is for Frankfurt. Hey guys,Ive recently been having huge trouble with RC getting me to the correct altitude for capturing the ILS. Every time I come in for the approach it has me thousands of feet above where Im supposed to intercept.Ive tried rebuilding runways with no luck. I dont miss any altitude restrictions either. Any suggestions?

#1: I am getting frequent " Watch your altitude. Your assigned altitude is...." THEN the current altimeter setting is provided which verifies that I am 300-500 feet off assigned.Today, flying a Pilatus RC12 from Seattle to Vancouver (about 130 miles). During a 20 minute period I received the warning FIVE times followed by absurdly unrealistic changes in barometric pressure. The settings showed my plane pressure altitude changing 400-600 feet too high to 400-600 feet too low. With shifts like that over a distance of about 50 miles I would expect to find extreme turbulence among other bad things. Does anyone have a fix for RC4 running slowly when used with ASE (Active Sky Evolution)?There was suspose to be a fix through Windows Task Manager, then changing the Processor Affinity for RC4, but I could not get that to work.Thanks,zach

Hello,I prefer using RC 4.3 with pilot autoreply and play pilot wavs disabled. Although my readbacks are always correct, it gives me the opportunity to practice talking to ATC, i.e. before flying the same flight online (IVAO). I noticed however that the phrase "say again" is not suppressed and still is played. But I would like to say this phrase myself too. Is there a special reason why this phrase is not suppressed? My Setup: Win 7-64, FSX + Accel Pack, RCV4.03.3845, FSUIPC V4.60aI cannot make the semi transparent text window disappear with key command. When I force it to disappear by clicking on it's upper RH cornerit will disappear, and I am then able to make it reappear by using the assigned keyboard command (very puzzling). Of course it reappearsautomatically if left alone (normal behavior). I have tried much to correct this issue, including Screening the FSX keyboard key assignmentsand FSUIPC (no assignments there) for duplicate assignments. Also tried different aircraft and have tried running only FSX and RCV4 with noFS utilities or other programs running in background. All …

I create all my flight plans with FSC 8.2. RC reads these plans reliably. However, in some plans, waypoints in the RC4 display show up with numbers like ".30" or ".70". These correspond to actual waypoints in the flight plan and they are in the correct position, so it does not interfere with the flight. But I've always been curious as to why it might assign a waypoint a number like this instead of the actual name as used in FSC.-MJL
