I've just got AES and have not used it yet but I have one question regarding the Follow Me car and use with RCv4. It says you have to select a gate once landed for the follow me car to take you to. Is it possible to select a gate with RCv4 so that it will be free of AI aircraft? What does ticking the Gates box in the options menu do? Andy S

I was wondering if there was anyway to add Andras Field (EAFS) so i can use RC when flying to/from it. It is a fictional airport and thus i guarantee its not already in the database. More info on the field can be found on the website. Thanks,

Hello, I have some annoying problems with rc4.03 at times when trying to fly STARs that begin quite far from the arival's airport. Let's take EGLL: my last waypoint in the plan is LOGAN, so rc4 sees my flight path as: EBBR HELEN COA KEGIT SASKI SUMUM LOGAN EGLL (CRZ FL240). At 80nm I get ATIS, set RWY and punch in the STAR (in this instance they are LAM1Z or LAM3A). After crossing LOGAN I start flying along LAM1Z or LAM3A which is to the north from the flight plan as seen by rc4. Before I get a chance to switch to and request anything from Approach the Center begins to nag me non-stop into flying back on course HGD 180 (or so). There are some other popular destinations wh…

HI everyone,I'm a new RC user and quite happy with it so far, but I have noticed one glaring drawback. I'm sure this is a well-known problem, but I'm wondering if there are any solutions out there before I go off and make one.Previously, when using the inadequate MS ATC, it seemed that other aircraft would usually stop if they were approaching me (or on a collision course) on the ground, on orders from ATC. I thought this is simply a feature of FS, but now with MS ATC turned off and using RC, it seems like they have no idea I'm there and will recklessly crash into me from any angle at any time. As the title already says: There are 2 things i'd like to know:1) Can i add the Callsign of the VA i'm flying for in Radar Contact?2) Would it be possible to change the program so that i don't always something like this: "Lufthansa XXX you're not at your assigned altitue, climb FL XXX" This always comes when i stop a climb because the wind has changed and i need to get more speed, or when winds change in cruise. (The MD11 a fly most often starts to climb then to protect the aircraft from getting to fast.RegardsEmi

Hello--This has happened a couple times now, but I'm not sure which airport I was at the first time, but tonight...I was flying from KLAX to KLAS in the default King Air and had been given my approach/runway for landing. As I got closer, I was told to tune to approach 133.95. My radio automatically tuned to 133.95, but the dialog box only gave me the option of calling approach on 122.00. So....after about 20 seconds, I get told "Beechcraft 16, I say again, tune to 133.95". But I am not given that option on the dialog box. I press "1" to call approach, but it doesn't go through and it still shows 122.00. In another 20 seconds or so, I get told again to tune to 133.9…

Hi JD et al,I'm now running the latest ASE SP2 on a wide-client PC with DWC on and the latest FSUIPC with the "activesky" edit in the ini file. The funny thing is, RC now works fine even with ASE in DWC mode, up to a point. I'm now getting a bad RC lag (pause) right when OTTO goes to contact weather @ 40nm out in the approach - it takes forever for RC to switch between controllers for the rest of the approach. This includes contacting approach, tower, ground, etc..What's even more wierd, it now does this regardless if I have DWC enabled in ASE or not. I have tried toggling "force destination weather", ASE priority, disabling extra stations, etc, to no avail.Is it poss…

Hiya Chaps,I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and is there any sort of fix for it? When I use RC with Active Sky, there is always a delay in either contacting the controller, from when I key press no 1 or 3, a delay in the controller replieing to me and a delay when I reply to the controller! At its worst, I have the controller saying something like..." 7 3 6 3 I say again....." this when I havnt even heard him the first time! This only happens when using Active Sky, as when I dont use it, RC perfoms without fault.Any suggestions?Rory

Radar Contact is now using the phonetic spelling of the make of each aircraft as the call sign instead of the flight number of tail number. How do I correct this problem?

Regarding ASE and FSUIPC... does this new feature means that in DWC mode there would be no more wrong WX reports coming from RC and no more lag (I have bad lag if ASE in DWC.. if it's in Standard mode no lag at all... but terrible flashing sky.. yes, it's a joy :) ?

I have a little puzzle.According to the manual, RC4 calculates the Transition Altitude - specifically always FL180 in the USA.But I do not find this happening. On a flight plan KRDM to KSMF planned for 11000 feet I was cleared to "FL110". The Controller info page shows "Dep TL( FL 60) Arr TL( FL 70)".Also, I note that when I load a FP the cruise altitude shown always seems to show the altitude of the last flight flown and not the current one. Maybe it is taking the Transition data from the last flight too? Should I be putting this in manually?John

I dont know if this is a FS or a RC problem. I flew twice from IAH to BWI. All went well except for chatter quitting. But when I turned on final which was 12 miles out my computer froze. My CUP was at 100%. I was on final to rwy 28. I tried rebuilding the scenery file in FS also I ran make runway. This is frustrating as I have lost 2 1/2 hrs of flying both times. Any help is appreacative.

First of all how do we contact TRACON? When you fly into BWI in real life they are in contact wuth Potomac TRACON. Next how do we get RC to reconize a closed runway in AFCAD? 15/L and 33/R is closed in real life at IAH but it still gives me 15/L for takeoff. Then I have to ask for 15/R for take off. Is this info in the manual if so can someone give me reference?ThanksEd

I reinstalled Radar Contact and the serial number I have no longer works, is this normal, do i need a new one? I sent an email for a serial number, but it seems odd to have to do so when I already have one.When I paste the serial number I have in the window for the serial number, it just closes and if I fire it up again, it says the same thing 'this is unregistered etc'Al

I have noticed a problem with my RC4. When I approached FAJS from the south, the Controller gave me the vectors to ILS 03L. However, when I lined up on Final, I was on 03R. He seemed to be asleep as I got cleared to land on 03L but landed on 03R without any protests.Is there a way to fix this? My links to FSX are correct and I have updated the database.It seems to be the only one that is incorrect.The only clue is that FAJS is a 3rd party add-on.

I have made two flights recently to receive "radar services terminated........."The first, yesterday, on arrival in the vicinity of ENHD in Norway - a relatively small field although with ILS system.The termination of radar services I accepted B) (not a lot of choice!) as maybe it was just a small field at the back of beyond.......but still with ILS........Made the necessary adjustments and landed OK etc, etc.Today a flight into EDDK - Cologne, one of the biggest airports in Germany.......Again "radar services terminated....." :( I have checked all my settings - nothing amiss........Question:Is it possible for a major field such as EDDK to suddenly NOT have Approach faci…

Although I have been using RC4 for some while there still seems a lot to learn. I am having a puzzle with making landings at Uncontrolled Airports, and unusually I can't find the solution in the manual.I seem to get routed by ATC towards the nearest runway (regardless of wind), and then handed off to use local traffic comms, and am instructed to cancel the IFR flight plan either in the air or on the ground, and that radar services are terminated. I am seeing RC4 reporting a constant temperature (and dewpoint) deviation of 10 degrees (high plus or minus 1 deg).This happens with default real weather, or any add on program.It does not appear to be an FSUIPC issue. For instance, I am sitting at KPRC in the default Cessna. The OAT gauge shows 35 deg F. The FSX real weather screen shows 35F/24F as the temp and dew point. On my network computer using Weatherset.exe that comes with FSUIPC the temp and dewpoint shows as 01C/-04C (34F/26F). RC reports temp / depoint as 11/05.
