Hello Radar Contact,After an initial hic up or two getting RC up and running ( my fault entirely) this certainly makes me sit up and pay attention when I fly, especially when my first two flights critique were somewhat uncomplimentary. However, I've now got the hang of things and have discovered a flaw in one particular flight, namely from LFAT Paris Plage to LFPG Charles de Gaulle. I've done this flight twice to assertain if it was my fault but on both occasions the same problem occured at the same point of the flight. Hey,new user of RCv43 here.Took my first flight with it yesterday, together with the RealAir Turbine Duke. It's cool but I noticed sometimes the RC sounds lag behind, and sometimes do not play at all.Like when I press CTRL-SHIFT-K to give the comms to otto, I guess otto should always reply "mine" or "yours". But sometimes, he doesn't, although the RC screen goes to "stand by" and then back to the normal menu.My suspicion that not all sounds are always played are also strengtened by the fact that although I have AI traffic to 40% (and I see a lot of planes in my vincinity in the air, through FS Commander), I hardly ever hear radio chatter with them. Some time back, there was discussions about a v5 and have not heard much more about it. Is that project still alive? I was wondering if maybe the coming of the new MS Flight might have you slowed down. Any way just curious.

Was just wondering if RC reads AFCADS. Am asking because I normally fly into KLax. I ussally fly Southwest Airlines and always get runway 6 when landing which is the side of the airport Southwest is on. But when flying Continental I get runway 7 which, yes, is the side of the Airport Continental is on. Just wondering.

I've got a problem that just started with RC4, I'm running fsx on win7 64bit, on a stable I7 960 OC 4.0 with no outside problems. On March 10, the Transition Altitude in the Birmingham CTA/CTR and the East Midlands CTA/CTR changes from 4000ft to 6000ft. Those of you wishing to update RC4 to use these new values automatically should do the following: Locate your m5.csv file - you'll find it in the data folder (directory) of your root RCV4 folder on whichever drive you installed it - and make a back-up (just in case); Open the m5.csv file using Notepad or a similar text editor - DO NOT use Excel or a similar spreadsheet - and scroll down until you find the data line for EGBB; The line should look like this - 'EGBB,561,4000,B'. I'm all set late into my final into Chicago. I'm at landing vref and flaps, glide slope capture and ATC tells me to contact approach where normally you get 'CLEARED TO LAND' or GO AROUND' so i hit the #1 key as usual to AK & contact but my (the pilot's) voice says 'MISSED APPROACH' but i don't want a missed approach. Hi.I used rc4 for a long time last year on this system without any issues. After not doing much simming for a while i recently set down to do a flight and had some troubles with rc4 showing errors when i first started it up. unfortunately i didn't write these down, but rather decided to do a fresh reinstall, also putting it on a new secondary drive and re-registering etc.unfortunately, now when i run the app, it starts up ok, but as soon as i load a flight plan it shows the following error "Run-time error '7':Out of memory". it seems to happen when importing any .pln file i've tried.i'm pretty sure i have enough memory (task manager shows around 5 gigs unused)..it used to…

I´m a totally new user of RC and I must say this program turn FSX upside down for me in a good way! First flight LSZH to EKCH with my “Mad dog” was a challenge because RC and FSX ATC competed in use of my radio. Then after passing CDA, RC started to vector me into rwy 22R and told me to turn 010! I have planned to use rwy 22L and programmed the FMC (and flight plan) with the wpts of STAR CDA3N and an option in the menu made me press 4 IAP APP (selected rwy 22L). Is there a way to add aircraft to the list in Radar Contact

I am having trouble with a large green line at the top of Radar Contact, when it first comes up. When I tell it to get the weather,it gives the weather then you can no longer get the text to come up, and I am at my wits end trying to figure out what the problem is......I am hopeing that someone can help........Thanks

Ronzie do you have any idea when the new version of Radar Contact will be coming out? I have one heck of a time finding my way around some of the bigger airports,and I heard that the new version was going to address that problem.

I am having trouble getting my flight plans to tranfer from radar contact to FS-9 and still keep the same waypoints What am i doing wrong?

I was able to shut the FS9 controllers up so that they wouldn't interfere with RC4 but I can't seem to shut them up in FSX. New to FSX...I'm sure it's a simple solution but can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,I've just started using radar contact and am really enjoying it so far. However, I have a few "beginner" questions. I've searched the forum and read the manual but can't find the answer.1) I just did a flight into KBOS flying the PMDG beechcraft 1900 (turboprop) and landed very close behind another plane. We both had landing clearance and no go around was issued to either of us. I was running AI smooth aswell at the time as I read this could be used alongside radar contact. Did I do something wrong or does radar contact not seperate AI planes and user planes?2) On the flight options in radar contact I specified a gate but there was already a plane in the assigned gate.…

I have tried several short haul flight from KSBP to KSJC. When I get close to KSJC (after first altitude reduction) RC4 stops giving instuctions. The applacation is still running but it does not seem to recognize how near the aiport is. I was wondering is my addon software for this airport (Imaginne Simulation KSJC) is causing the problem? I don't hat this problem going to other airports.Charlie - KSBP

Hi all. I have been looking through past threads and am interested in setting up for an early IAP so that i can descend via my flight plan in my fmc and follow the star as loaded into my fmc rather than 40m out when most of my descent is over with as dictated by ATC. I read a post by 'RONZIE' that mensioned doing this by changing notams in RC4 set-up options. Being still new to simming i'd appreciate some info on how to do this (In simple terms for a nubie please) and if ronzie happens to read this, i would be interested from you about this.T.A.L.

Hi,When I start FSX, load my flight plan and click fly now, everything is Ok. However, when I start RC, load same .Pln, click start, in FSX the plane sinks into the ground, it then pops back to the surface and the engine is stopped. It cannot be restarted. After about 30 seconds, the screen comes on offering me to quit the flight. This happens for any planes, at any gates and any .pln,s. I can't create a log file about the flight because the flight is stopped at the gate. I have had to reinstall FSX because it stopped loading. However, after reinstallation, I still have the same problem when starting RC4.3. Ironically, RC4.3 is working just fine with FS2004 on the same co…

I've done several flights from San Juan (TJSJ) to St Maartens, NL Antilles (TNCM) in the PMDG MD11.St Maartens has no ILS and RC tells me to expect vectors to RW 09 which is the norm, with the approach from the sea. However, RCs vectors seem all wrong and I do'nt know where I'd end up if I didn't intervene. From a point where I'm heading about 110 degrees (from memory) with the runway at about 085 degrees (again from memory) RC instructs me to go to a heading of 185. RC4 issue, REX AND MYTRAFFICX FOR FSX Hi all,I have RC4 installed with REX, UTX Europe, WWW and MytrafficX.Everything works except RC4.UTX, WWW and MytrafficX is automatically loaded, there is nothing to do with them once installed.I load the flight first in FSX.I load REX and load the weather into FSX.I load RC4 with my flightplan, and then START RC4.It shows on the top of my screen and gives me a couple of options to contact Ground or ATIS.Once I have contacted ground, and ground gives me instructions I do not get any other options, or cannot contact ATC.Also, my pilot's response to the ATC cannot be heard once Ground has given me instructions.Has anyone faced this i…

JD,I posted this question in the FS9 forum and recieved no help. I am uncertain if this is something that I need to change in FS9 or if I could reset a pointer in RC4 to fix the RC4 side of the problem. I am running Windows 7 Pro64 and although I select RC4 as an admin when I run it, it will not let point to the new FS9 path for saved files and weather. here is my prevoius post under the FS9 forum:About 11 months ago I purchased a new computer. G'dayIn August 2009, my son purchased RC4 as a gift for me.I have just reinstalled it on a new drive and the registration key is no longer valid.Can I email for a new key given that Product ID is probably now different for the new drive installation and of course the name (not surname) will be different and lastly the email address will not be the same.I can if necessary get him to email the product ID with his name if required.CheersPaul Bayley

Just purchased PMDG 747-400X, can you tell me if Radar Contact is compatable with it as when I give co pilot control although it says he has control I have do it manually. Yet it does comply with comms. apprciate any help Thanking you David Stringer
