Good morning,I am seriously considering the purchase of RC4, and I see that it is compatible with Ultimate Traffic (According to the website). Is it compatible with Ultimate Traffic 2? And does it effectivly move AI traffic out of the way so I am not on approach with an AI plane at the same time? I appreciate any help you can give before I buy.,Brian A. Neuman

Hi there. I have a question for JD and company:I started a topic on the PMDG site out of pure interest and it has to do with side stepping to another runway and it seems it is a common procedure (if thats the right word) in every day arrivals at airports. Unless i missed it (can't find in manual or in flight menu), i don't think this is presently an option in Radar Contact as a reqest by the pilot or as a directive from ATC. If it isn't then as i stated on the PMDG forum, it would be an additional realism feature that would be nice in v5. Any chance?

Good morning,Recently I have been noticing a siginificant lag in RC 4. Basically when the plane is in route, the miles that it shows on my plan can be somewhere up to 4-5 miles behind, which is a significant delay in clearences and whatnot. This has not always happened. Any ideas?

Page 110 of the RCV4 manual discusses the options for "Alt Restriction" and "No Altitude Restr" in regards to Departure Procedures (DP) It says that if your DP might cause you to remain level at an altitude for some period, you should use the "No Alt Restr" option.It also states that if your DP contains no altitude restrictions, then you should select the "Alt Restrictions" option. So I'm assuming that the options refer, not to the DP itself, but to whether or not RC4 controllers assign, or do not assign, altitudes while flying the DP. Is this correct? Thanks.

Ok, I've paid for it. I've downloaded it. I've gone through the rigmarole of sending off for the keycode - three times now over the last two hours. How long am I expected to wait for the key to enable me to start using the product?My money was taken from me quickly enough, so why am I not getting the use of this product immediately?Fed up!:( :( John

If I check notams for Departure airport will ATC give me headings to fly according to that airports departure procedures for that runway?If I check notams for Arrival airport will ATC give me headings to fly that will keep me from crashing into a mountain. I've used RC for many years now and have installed it many times. This time, however, it won't take the key. I sent in the email, formatted as I have in the past. I actually had it autogenerate and then pasted the format into my yahoo mail. Got the key back. I paste it in, click the button and the registration page pauses and then closes. Open RC again - same thing.I am running XP. I have tried rebooting, uninstalling/reinstalling and running explicitly as administrator.It just won't take the key. I've done this before, so I'm stumped as to why it won't work this time. I'm out of ideas.

I bought a copy of radar contact about two years ago (version 4.3). Recently I changed computers to a computer that operates Windows 7 (x64). All of my FSX addons work (Active Sky, X Graphics, PMDG MD11 and Ultimate Traffic 2) but Radar Contact does not. All of these addons were used wonderfully together in Windows Vista, and all work in Windows 7 except Radar Contact. I have made sure that FSUIC (I think that's it) is the newest version (as seen on this forum), I have run Radar Contact as Admin and I have made sure the keyboard commands don't conflict with anything else. I have bee a RC4 user for years and years... never had too many problems with it. But with a new computer and FSX coming along, I have been using FSX more and more, and therefore RC4 for FSX. So, now I see my issues compounded and need to finally look up and ask.Now,... I have 3 issues.... just throwing it out there while I'm at work.1. Time Lag,... I have purchased a new computer and would like to move my copy of RC ver 4.3 to this machine. Can someone give me a heads up as to the best way to do this. I still have my original disc but am I not sure if there was some sort of upgrade after I received it. Also I recall JD emailed me some sort of licence but that was a long time ago. Pete released the newest version of FSUIPC for both FSX and FS9: Pete's FSUIPC pageI'm very happy to report that it appears the FSX version completely stopped the delay that sometimes occurred when using RC4 with ASE with Direct Wind Control on. Just flew a flight and there was absolutely no delay with RC4 contacting the tower on approach.

With some regularity lately RC suddenly starts telling me that I am off course and should fly another heading until I can resume own navigation. The problem is that I am bang on course, following the line on the GPS. The flight plan in the GPS shows as still correct but RC now thinks that the next waypoint is one that I have passed some time back, hence the direction to fly a different heading that would take me way off course. This happens whether or not I am using MCE. It does not happen on every flight but often enough to be quite annoying. The only way out of this situation is to specify in both RC and the GPS a direct course to my final destination. Does anyone have…

I recently upgraded my PC from XP to Windows 7 32 bit. I also upgraded to RCv4.3.3845. Upon receiving my new registration key I attempted to paste it into the registation box. Initially, upon startup using the exe with administrative privliges, I recieved error messages indicating that "Component mscomct2.ocx or one of its dependancies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. After checking the forum, I discovered how to register this module through the cmd prompt. I was wondering, if after installing RC in FSX, do you have to reinstall for FS9 ? .....

I've just recently bought Just Flight's DC-3 and was disappointed to find that it does not have a transponder. So RC-4 cannot track it. That may be realistic but going back to FSX default ATC is not. Is there a way around it. I tried changing the squawck code in the RC interface but it didn't help.

Now that US ATC Tower personnel use the terminology "Line up and Wait" in place of "Taxi into position and hold", will RC5 make this change for US flights? Thanks.

I have just installed a new commercial airport package. The Airport has in real life only just been opened and did not exist in FSX. After running the updater, the airport runways are recognised in RC but not the frequencies. If I manually put the frequencies in the Controller info., then it works. How do I put the frequencies in permanently? (The airport in question is FALE, which replaces FADN, which has now closed).

Hi. I just recently installed RC on a client PC for use with wide fs. Everything is working fine, except that my flight numbers are being spoken digit by digit "one zero one seven", instead of "ten seventeen", etc. Any ideas?
