I have just added World of AI aircraft to FSX, RC seems to handle the AI interaction very well, I've had no real problems.I'm currently using Electronic Flight Bag which has a moving map display and shows local AI traffic. I've noticed during cruise with 5 or 6 planes reasonably close, that RC only talks to one of them. Just curious to know how RC is programmed to interact with AI in the cruise enviroment, and why it talks to some a/c and not others ?Glen

Howdy,I purchased and installed RC today. After going through and fixing the first run-time error with the missing .dll file, I ran into this one and no mention of the error on these forums. The error occurs every time I read back clearance delivery. As soon as I get to the point of contacting ground for PB and Start it starts playing random chatter and the run-time error shows up. I've tried a lot of the fixes mentioned, from adding RC and FSX to my anti-virus whitelists, running without AV or Firewall, rebuilding scenery DB, clicking on .fpl/.wx and choosing the folder again.I'm not sure if this is a new thing, or an easy fix, so I am waiting to upload any logs unti…

I've had on at least a couple of occasions missed my descent altitude marks (be at certain alt within 30 miles or less.. blah blah blah) due to one reason or another. Generally when this happens, RC redirects me away from the airport, sometimes 60+ miles away and never seems to recover or vector me back to the airport. What's the deal with this? Is there any rhyme or reason why I would be vectored so far away due to missed altitude?

Just had a VERY interesting flight into KSAN. For some reason RC had planes landing on rwy 09 (They hardly ever use rwy 9 because of wind coming off ocean). Had to try to land my 737 with a 14 knt tailwind. Was real fun. What causes RC to all of sudden do that. It's done it a couple times before.

Hi all. Newbie here! Why when I start RC 4.3 does it take me to the middle of the ocean off of Africa? I have run make runways and placed the csv file correctly, I have re built the scenery in RC4.3 what else am I doing that may be wrong grrrrrrrr

Have noticed every flight from KRNO to KSFO I get a hold. Looking at the charts for rwy 28L I see that it is standard approach to have a 1min leg hold. My question is that I fly the IFLY 737 and can program the hold correctly in the FMC. Is there a way to have RC let me fly the hold vs it giveing me vectors every couple min in some square pattern. Hello RC folks,I was on approach to LIPZ (Venice) when I asked for a short final. I have never asked RC for this before so I thought I'd give it a try. The traffic controller did not give me nearly enough time for me to reach the altitude needed to capture the glideslope. On hindsight, it would have been best to ask for a short final when I first contacted approach instead of waiting until I was more than half-way through the approach, but I don't know if that would've changed anything. Comments? Thanks.

Hello all,This has happened now with 2 airports. RC clears me to line up and wait on the runway. As I approach the runway, I see several AI planes ahead of me waiting to get on the runway. They do line-up but they never do receive clearance to take off from RC. The plane just sits there on the runway. Of course, I'm not waiting forever, so I bud the line to the front of the runway, line up over the plane (crash detect off), but RC does not give me clearance to take off. However, when I do take off, it transfers me to departure.My question is, does RC detect that there are several AI ahead in line? Why do the planes line up but not take off as soon as I get close to them?I…

Well, for some odd reason when I start RC the window in FSX is very small and I cant resize it by click and drag on the window. Is there a way to be able to make the window back to normal?Thanks, JIm

Trying to find my way with this - new to me - program, I made a 40 min flight and here are my own first findings :1. RC does not use the Center frequency I entered in Controller options only. It handed my flight over the FS9 built-in ATC frequency and two other non really existing (random) frequencies. Using irrelevant sector frequencies and changing 4 times for a 40 min flight in a small country is not acceptable in my opinion.2. Seeing as "RC5" is still just a long-awaited dream is most users heads, is there any way to update the "Airline or Company Name" list to include more recent airlines and exclude long-defunct ones.?

Hi all,I'm new to Radar Contact, just got it yesterday. During my first flight, everything was going smoothly until ATC started vectoring me towards the airport. Approach cleared me down to 5000 from current altitude of 7000, but there was mountainous terrain around 5000 so I pressed "6", which is supposed to be the unable to comply key, as selected by default in the key mappings. Instead, pressing 6 caused me to ask for a freq change to get ATIS! I've verified that my 6 key is assigned to "unable to comply", without any shifts or ctrls. What was I doing wrong? I read a post today concerning taxi instructions, though I'm happy with my purchase of RC, I do feel that taxi instructions are an essential. I was wondering if it is possible to use the same system that FS uses in issuing taxi instructions? From what I understand the FS reads each AFCAD, and based on taxiway designators and taxi links, ATC is able to issue correct taxi instructions. Is this not a possibility for the RC engine? Thanks.

Hi to all. I am fairly new to flight simming and I have a question.I have RC4.3 installed and it seems to be working just fine with my set up the only issue at this time is that atc seem to be a little anxious for my replies to change controllers.I have Multicrew installed and it seems to work fine but when i get a request to go to any other controller either centre or airport tower or whatever.I reply and with in 2 to 3 seconds before I can set the frequency it asks me again. I am not sure if it is a problem with RC4.3 or Multicrew can anyone point me in the right directionthanks for the help in advance.Flying Big D

This error started popping up a couple of days ago and I can't get rid of it. FSX loads on Win7 PC, flt plan selected, go to parking, bring up RC4, and all seems ok. RC4 flt plan loaded and RC4 started as usual but within a few minutes I hear "ding" and RC is no longer working. The reason is always the same: run-time error 76...... fsuipcRC4code." I am using RC4.3 with latest registered FSUIPC. My question is - when I get clearance for taxiing to the runway, ATC tells me the active runway, and direction/distance from my current position, but does not instruct which taxiways to follow. So, can I taxi using taxiways of my choice???? Is this how done in real life? Then how do you avoid collisions on taxiways?Any guidance would be appreciated.

On my last 3 flights, RC has vectored me to final approach with a "maintain 15000 until established on the localizer". This happend twice approaching KJFK and once approaching KLAS. I have made many flights to these airports before with the correct altitude instructins given by RC. Anyone have an idea of what is wrong here?

Hi all being trying to work out when u ask the controller when u press lv freq for wx i know it gets the weather info and airport info when ur close to ur dest but was wondering if ur half way and u press this option does it only give u the closet airport info thats near u?

Hiya fellas,I've done 2 flights now from EDDT to EDDH (Berlin to Hamburg), and in both cases RC doesnt ask me to contact Approach for vectors, rather I just get contacted asking if I have the latest ATIS and which Approach am I wanting. Now Hamburg is a major airport with several ILS runways so I would've thought I'd be given a vectored approach to the active. Can anyone help? I'm using RCv4, FSX Win7, 64bit.Cheers,Rory

Guys;I need your help. I got the RC4 yesterday, and since then I am facing one problem with it.If I start a flight with the Ultimate Traffic II on, nothing works in RC4. It is as if the UT2 freezes RC4. The RC4 window appears, but nothing I click works. Neither 1 nor 2, nor anything. If I manually tune the ATIS frequency, for example, I did not hear anything. I tried at several airports, with several planes. Everything else is normal. There are planes landing, taking off, flying. But I can not hear them. This problem is specific to a flight from KSBN to KORD. I've tried via DEERE and CGT at various atltudes between 10,000 and 14,000 with the same results. Have duplicated this four times now. Here's what happens:I hand off comms to Otto before takeoff. I do this every flight. At cruise altitude, still under initial departure control, Otto leaves freq. for weather. Shortly after we come back from weather, Departure instructs us to contact Approach on 128.45. The radio frequency changes, and then all comms stop. Otto does *not* check in. Approach does not issue any instructions. Comms just stop. I can totally abandon my flight plan, change altitude and even land w…
