Within the FSX settings I have set it up so that all ATC comes through my headsets and the environmental noises, such as engine noise etc. comes through my speakers. This not only adds to the realism, but also helps me understand easier what is being said.Unless I have missed something, I cannot appear to direct the ATC chatter and calls to my headset, whilst leaving the environmental sounds to carry on outputting to my speakers.If there is no way officiall to do this, has anyone managed to do this?Failing that, can it be put on a wish list?Thanks.

I get this error message only if I am flying in the US. I am running WIN7 64. This never happened when I had Win XP 64. I didn't install RC in program files and I gave RC's folder full rights and I always run it as admin from the properties.

I have FS2004 and FSX both installed on the same "G" drive. RC4 is installed on FS2004. How do I make it also work on FSX? Thanks jerrycwo4

HiI wanted to know if it's possible to change my text box meesages. Currently the background color is green, and the letters are red. How can I change it to black background with green letters instead. Any suggestion would be appreciated. ThanksDavid

Yesterday I was flying locally around the Chicago area, testing the new Airbus X I just purchased. The flight was from KDPA to KLOT with two way points in between the two airports. The total distance was approximately 70nm, cruise alt FL60 but I've asked atc for FL100, which was approved. Past the second way point I was still at 100 and was never asked to descent, yet I was told to turn as I missed crossing restriction? Doesn't ATC usually tell you something like "cross 40 miles from DVV at FLXXX"??? Am I missing something? Thanks.

Hi,I have just bought RC4 and am impressed with it so far (only done one flight). However I notice that with my UT2 traffic that Radar Contact is not using the correct callsign for AI traffic despite having the callsign recorded. Instead it just uses the first letter - for example United Airlines are referred to as "Uniform" and American Airlines as "Alpha". Is there anything I can do to fix this?thanksJon

XP Sp3 FS9.1 FSUIPC Reg RC4.3 on WideFSHappening more and more often now, I input a keyboard command on the Server machine and after a long delay I get the RC message "Fsuipc_wait Cant get 0008 to change from 10533546 always 10533546".RC, minimized on the Client in flight, wont maximise and is effectively dead: I get no more contact. Sometimes I realise its hung because it wont respond to a command, and sometimes because it goes silent for so long I wake up and notice.On a cupla occasions RC has remained dead, but mostly it comes back - after random amounts of time. And its happening more and more.

Hey guys,I was having a flight from egll to lfpg when rc said something about saturated traffic at de gaulle and started turning me back over the English channel :( i canceled the flight as i was nearly back at heathrow and has kept doing the same ever since.Any ideas guys?

There I was cruising along between KSJE and KRNO. You know......where those big mountains are.Anyhow, without any warning the starboard engine on my Duke Turbine began spewing oil and losing power. A few seconds later the port engine did the same. While trimming out looking for a soft place to land Center started getting on me for not maintaining altitude. A flight today departing from KMYF, Montgomery Field in San Diego. After receiving Clearance, I switched to Ground who instructed me to taxi to Runway 23 for departure. Everything normal so far. On my way to RWY 23, I received no instructions from Ground to contact the Tower or to monitor the tower freq. I waited at the runway threshold for about 2 minutes with no further contact. I closed down RC4, and restarted my flight. But again, there were no instructions from Ground to contact the Tower and I arrived at the runway without hearing again from Ground or the Tower. This has never happened previously. I'm thinking that the possible reason for the above is that …

Hello all,I have changed absolutely nothing in my computer but I've started getting this error whenever I try to open Radar Contact. The error states "Run-time error '62' - Radar Contact.rcv4module.read_callsigns"I'm using Win 7, I run the program as administrator. How can I fix this problem? Thanks.

Since RC4 does not provide this functionality, how do you know which gate to go to after arrival?

Hello everyone.I have a big issue with RC at the moment.Last night after a FSX crash I got the error message IPC request contains bad data when I tried to connect RC to FSX.I found the suggested solution to the problem in you FAQ and followed the instructions there and reinstalled FSUIPC, plus added the latest update to the FSUIPC.DLL-file.After this RC can once again connect to FSX without problems, but I can't see the menu window within FSX. If I press "2" after starting RC I get the ATIS information read to me, so it appears that RC is running and the only problem is displaying the menu..Any thoughts on how to get around this?Kind regardsMikael Stockfors

I've been trying to acquaint myself with RC4.3 after owning it for a long time and letting it gather dust. One problem I've been having for a week now since reinstalling is that RC seems to hang whenever FSX either crashes to desktop, or I quit it without first quitting RC. Invariably, I end up having to force-quit the process to get it to shut down. This is on a Windows 7 - 64 system. Is this a known problem, perhaps with a known solution? I can provide any other info you need about my rig, just give me some guidance.thanks,Bill Womack

I saved a number of .rcd files during my first tutorial flight. And they are in the Flight Simulator Files directory along with .wx files and .pln files. But when I press the Load Previously Saved .rcds button in RC it navigates to the correct folder but says no .rcd files were found. The .rcd files all have positive sizes, from 11 kb to 14 kb. I am running RC4 as Administrator under Windows 7.I looked for answers to this but the problems all seem to be different from this.

I bought RC a couple of weeks ago. Main problem im having is AI traffic not listening. I thought RC had something to prevent this. Flight from KPHL to KDTW. After US Airways departed ground instucted me to taxi into position and hold. I go to do that and the Delta 737 decided to do the same thing at the same time. This happens regularly. What am I doing wrong. Frustrating waiting then to get picked off by another plane and have to start over...

Hi,I am currently using RC version 4.3.3843 for FSX and 4.2.3831 for FS2004. I noticed in another post there is a slightly later 'build' number available.Just wondering if I need to update RC or is this only a minor change.ThanksGlen

Howdy, I have radar contact for FSX and I am currently using it with Active Sky Evolution Build642 in standard mode and the very latest FSUIPC4.0C or something like that. Well my problem is radar contact setting me up to land with 10knt tailwind gusts to 20 would someone happen to have any solutions for me please? Thanks, JoshP.S. I'm sorry to have to tell you this but your Controllers don't know where EGNT Newcastle in the north east of England is.:( I tried to fly there from both EGHI Southampton Intl., and EGNM Leeds/Bradford and each time was put on to a heading of 180 degrees due south which is the exact opposite of where I wanted to go. When flying from Southampton they had me on 180 degrees for some 30 miles, then turned me on to a northerly heading only to 10 minutes later to turn me back on to 180 degrees after curtly telling me off!!I cancelled the flight thinking it was me. Running out of time, I tried to do the flight from Leeds only to be directed on to a 180 degree heading again. …

Now I hear that there is a version 5 coming out at some point? Would it be silly for me to purchase RC4.3 at this point? Or will there be a nice discount towards RC5 for RC4.3 users?Thanks.
