First, let me say RC4 is an amazing program that has really elevated the enjoyment of flight sim. I just encountered my first problem! I recently installed Imaginsim's KMSY (New Orleans) and was preparingto do a flight from KMSY to KIAH. I downloaded the flight plan for FS9 via simroutes (which I do regularly). After starting FS9 and positioning at the gate, I put FS9 in window mode, opened RC4, loaded the flight plan and started RC4. When I pressed ALT + ENTER to go back to full screen mode in FS9, the window just goes black and I have to exit FS9 and start over. This has happened every time I tried to load this flight plan. Incidentally, I have not tried a different…

How do you get Otto to fly the QW 757? When I'm flying my Project Airbus 320 all I have to do is have autopilot on and hit GPS and Heading. But that's on a basic freeware panel. What are the proper buttons that need to be pressed on this aircraft's panel to get Otto to fly the plane after pressing Ctrl+Shft+M?

Hi together,is it possible to tell RC4 in any way the transponder and the initial altitude before starting the flight?It means i need a fixed transponder and initial altitude for different airports, or always the same alt/ sqwuak for each airport. RegardsTHomas

I was flying Alaska #52 from Fairbanks to Anchorage with the feelthere 737 PIC and RadarContact. Flight was normal during startup, taxi, and climbout. RC held me at 29,000' for quite awhile which kept me from reaching cruising altitude of 35,000' before it issued me a descend command. In fact I was still climbing through 31,000 feet when it ordered me down to 29,000'. Re-programming the FMC and re-setting the altitude meant it took more than 15 seconds before I started descendiing, prompting the ever-present "Watch your altitude, your assigned altitue is 29,000' message". Long time has passed since i had to ask you question last..But i have finally got a new computer big enough to handle FSX and i just want to verify that it's the CD RadarContact V4 which works with FSX? I also has to ask if RC has any problemswith Windows7? It has 64 bit - but obviously has no problems with 32 bit either - install the programs in a Program x.86 library. Hello friends, I have few noob question about real life ATC. First, before RC I used to fly with FMC, using SID and STARS. After a few flight with RC, I noticed I never use FMC, because ATC gives all headings. So just wondering, how this work in real life, when pilots use FMC, and if ATC saying everything to you, why you need FMC ? Thanks.

Is there a way to request a different route to avoid weather..ie thunderstorms? I fly alot out of hubs here in the south and thunderstorms can pop up very suddenly. I know there is a divert weather but will it give you a different route?

I'm wanting to use my game pad for selecting act options 1,2, or 3. I can do it fine on the keyboard but when I try and program the pad it will not identify the keys. Anyone have a suggestions??CaptMac

I have read the sticky above by Ronzie on this subject and updated FSUIPC (4.712), ASE (647) and Radar Contact 4.3.If I have DWC activated in ASE I still get the wrong ATIS, it gives the weather at altitude, not the correct destination ATIS - What am I doing wrong ??ASE is on a networked computer connected via Simconnect and works as normal in DWC mode, the route is applied to ASE.Radar Contact is on the FS computer, obviously with the route entered.UseASEweather=Yes entered in the FSUIPC.ini file.Do I need to connect via FSWide / Client for this to work as opposed to Simconnect ?Glen

Hi,I run FSX with RC in a networked config. Everything worked super until...I tried to fly from DTMB (Monastir, Tunesia, Africa) to EHAM. I have the Monastir X scenery (Aerosoft) installed. The flightplan was created with FSX and loaded into RC. When I check the controller info, I see that the departure column contains no info at all.. All freq. are zero and there are no runways. Since Unicom is also at 0 Mhz, it might be that the whole airport is not active in RC. I tried what follows both ways, as it came up and with the frequencies that I know for tower and app filled in. Hi guys,I was wondering if someone could tell me how to close the RC4 window it kind of gets in the way a little during critical phases of flight for me.I tried the suggestion in an earlier thread that had something to do with adding a couple of lines to the FSUIPC.CFG, and Ctrl+X would open/close it. I did that, but it didn't work.In RC4 key assignments, I assigned Ctrl+Shift+W to the "Display Window" option, and that doesn't work either.Please help, thanks!

Hello,I purchased Radar Contact 4 in hopes of being able extend my simulation knowledge and get a feel for how real-life ATC works, as I am working towards becoming a commercial pilot one day. Since the download, this program has given me nothing but problems. I have had high hopes for this program, as it has been around so long, and has appealed to me for such a great period of time only to realize how much pain I am going through. I wish to do some online flying in a Freeware DC4 and / or the MS DC3.IS there a way to install the radio stack from say Kingair 350. I have a small issue with ground traffic. AI planes which intersects my path freezes and even after I pass they keep waiting and blocking the taxiway. They don't even disappear after a while. All the blocked planes would disappear except for the said plane. And sometimes, I would be parked at the gate and a plane taxing the taxiway behind me would stop even if I am only parked. I don't think it is the default ATC doing this, because it doesn't happen if I use the default ATC. Also, AI planes land short of runway and keep rolling into the runway, while some just hit a nose dive 1 mile from the threshold and crash.I am using "removeATC=yes". Latest FSUIPC and makerunways. A…
