I was flying this route MMUN-CYUL MYDIA B881 KNOST TAY J75 CAE PSK J53 OAKLE J53 LOONS J78 PSB J59 SYR MSS FRANX FRANX5 and landing rwy was 06LAs per Franx5 STAR.. I'm suppose to be at franx at 6000B but when I informed to contact approach I was at FL110 and approach cleared me to descend to FL090 25nm from Franx then 10 nm later I was told that I'm 30 nm from the marker and was told to descend to 2100 ft to intercept.. I can't go from FL110 to FL021 in 30 nm....I've noticed on certain route that approach is kind o flate with their instructions therefore I'm almost too high to intercept

Rex and Radar Contact seem to argue over who has priority over my altimeter setting. When I am at any altitude other than my cruising altitude radar contact likes to reset my altimeter to 29.92. I cannot press "B" to reset my altimeter to the correct setting nor can I manually set my altimeter. This only happens when I use radar contact. Any solutions? I'm using REX Overdrive btw.

Can anyone explain to me how to use the co pilot feature in RC?I've read the pdf and it only mentions Otto in the tutorial flights.

Ok, so I went thru the checklist in the rc4faq and still no luck with this one. mkrwys is in the same folder fsx is in for the fsx.exe. At least i think it is, saw it in the fsx root folder together anyway. I re built scenery database, basically everything in the faq. I am running fsx on a second hd, same as fsx. RC4 installed into e:\flight simulator x programs however the mkrrwys is in e:\microsoft games\flight simulator x like it should be. I tried moving the flight simulator x programs file into the main root directory but no joy so now i am in the process of putting it where it was. that was stupid but i am just stabbing in the dark here.\ any ideas?

I make flightplans with FS Commander 9.0. Below you see a flightplan from Amsterdam Schiphol to Stockholm Arlanda. The cruise altitude has been set to 33.000 feet. Nevertheless, RC doesn't read this cruise altitude, but uses the last cruise altitude that is manually set in the controller info window. Why doesn't RC read the cruise altitude from the last loaded flightplan? Hello, I am using Ultimate Traffic II and RC together, however, I am having trouble with American Eagle. Radar Contact refers to American Eagle as "American" rather than "Eagle Flight". I have the interact with AI option turned on under options, and I have this posted in the C4 file. AMERICANEAGLE,eagleflight,,0, 0Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may do to make sure RC uses the correct callsign for American Eagle? Thanks! Jordan

Hello;I'm running FSX SP2 with ASE, UT2 and using the most current, UN-Registered fsuipc, matter-of-fact, all the add-ons are up to date and current.My problem is, or it seems, that something is playing havoc with ASE and how it depicts the winds. I load up ASE first, let it run and parse, then load up FSX, UT loads it's traffic, I reset AI with ASE then wait.After about 5 mins I listen to ATIS via RC and the winds are definitely not as depicted, way off by 90 degrees sometimes. hi alljust installed one of the world of ai packs (BA). problem is the world of ai aircraft are not talking to RC4 although the default callsigns are (paciffica).i have the ATC volume set to 0 and installed/run everything as adimin. any help would be greatpaul

Had a weird problem. I have the settings for Radar Contact that I have to press 7 to contact the next sector, so no autoreply.Whilst descending to my destination, the controller said I had to contact the next sector. Normally I would get the option 'acknowledge and contact'.Now I just got 'acknowledge' and thus their wasn't an option to contact the next sector. The ATC kept bugging me every 30 seconds I had to contact them, but I wasn't able. Is there a possibility to override it and contact them manually?

Hey all,Looking at buying this product but seems really complicates! I have another one similar call flight emulator pro but found that impossible to use! Waste of cash!How is this different in the way of responding to comands etc, are the easy key assignments? I found with the other product there was alot of control+alt+xxx involved making it impossible to remember! Hi All Here's what I do: 1. Create FP in FSBuild, without SID or STAR2. Export FP to FSX and PMDG3. Start FSX, LOAD AP and start gate.4. Start RC and load FP, input start gate into RC.5. Load FP in FMC6. Contact CLR and ground for departure runway.7. Fly route8. Hopefully Land OK!! Question 1. How do you get the start runway and SID into RC?2. How do you get destination STAR and runway into RC? Is this the correct procedure? regards

B777-800, FSX, Shannon airport (EINN). Ground: "Taxi to holding point rwy 24." Ack. "Contact tower." ack and contact. Tower: "line up and wait." Ack. Nothing from tower for 5 minutes. To test, I took off. Tower immediately comes back with "Sir, I gave you a heading of 285." No matter which runway I ask for, Tower never gives instructions after "Line up and wait."

Sometimes when I'n cleared to land, an aircraft is lining up at the same runway. It results in a crash or a go around. Shouldn't RC handle this?

I did a search on makerwys and read all 4 pages of the posts that got listed here. Didn't find this answer. In another post here (or somewhere else I read?) it said something like, "Makerwys will create a list of all runways of active scenery in your scenery library..." Was this just "bad wording" by the poster? Or do I need to have ALL the scenery "check box" entries "checked" in my FSX Scenery Library list? Or are all the entries in the Scenery Library list considered "Active" when Makerwys compiles the runway list, regardless of if their check boxes are "checked" or not? Reason I ask is I check/uncheck various Scenery Library entries depending on where I'm flying in…

Hi all First, Radar Contact is a great piece of software, but as all software it has bugs (or perhaps I am inflicting it myself). The situation is as follows, I'm at the holding position of RWY25R at EBBR, tuned to the tower and there are 2 aircraft in front of me to takeoff. So I patiently wait, rolling further and furthertill it's my turn. But then, nothing happens, the previous aircraft has taken off, but no message "line up and wait". I see that there is perhaps an aircraft on final, but nothing (I even put all the AI-traffic off and still nothing).Then as I get tired of waiting, I roll into position and just when I am in position, the ATC says "line up and wait". Hi guys. 2 quick questions:1 In "real life" what is expected from a pilot that's been given an instruction from ATC, aknowledge first or comply first? For instance, say I'm told to change heading, which do I do first: do I repeat the order or start turning?2 In RC I never get the option to ask from 250kts restriction below 10000 relief. I set my type as heavy in RC's options and am flying outside the US, but obviously there is another condition I'm missing: which is it?Thanks!

Hello there ! After having reinstalled and reactivated my RC4 on my brand new machine (I7 2600 + W7 french home ed.), I get the whitepoint05 error with an empty whitepoint05.wav in the Winwood 99 folder. If I erase the file, RC4 automatically creates another one, and if I replace it with a "good" one (not empty), RC4 doesn't work anyway. Any idea ? Thanks a lot by advance Henri R

Hi all Love this program flying the 737 NGX eg gold coast to sydney in australia fl300 but centre wants me to descent well before my FMC TOD so i select pilot discretion which buys me some time but the controller then comes back later and tells me i must descent to fl120 with 30 miles of the approach airport so from this time on i am harassed until i start to descent. I prefer to stick to my FMC VNAV TOD and path to fly the star. Is there any way around this and will it be more flexible in RC5, thanks all Wayne

I start a flight in FSX, load the plan, it places me on a parking space, go to RC, load the plan, start RC and the plane moves instantly into the woods! Any ideas? The RC window comes up and I can talk to ATC fine and do the flight.Regards;Steve

I just had a bad experience with RC. I was flying from Calgary to Toronto. Here's the flight plan: CYYC to CYYZ@37000 (Alt1- , Alt2-) / YYC.HUSAR.YEA.VLN.VLR.VBI.YQT.SSM.APNEL.YVV.KICKS. *RVSM I requested and was given a cruising altitude of FL280. Departure told me to expect ILS for runway 15L. Told me to decend to 2900ft to capture the LOC/GS. However, RC did not give me enough time at all to get to the required altitude. By the time I got to the required altitude I was almost over the runway and going way too fast. I'm flying the 737NGX by the way. I chose "jet" in the options menu. Any idea folks? Thanks.
