Hello,Is there a way to increase the distance for flying a SID? Here's what happened to me a couple of weeks ago:I took from EDDV and flew a SID that ended at WRB (Warburg) VOR. Just before the last turn that would take me to WRB, ATC told me that I was of my course and fly heading XXX.My autopilot was flying the SID and was spot on. Hi,I just flew from NTAA to NFTF and now am flying from NFTF to YBBN spending way to much money I do not have on scenery when I cant even see it flying the MD11. Anyway here is the problem. I have been using RC4.3 for years now w/o this problem. On the way in to NFTF Fu'uamotu in Tonga which is uncontrolled I was getting standard let down altitudes untill I got cleared from 180 to 6000 feet with no descent restriction. I always get a get down in 30 miles or less restriction but not this time. Then nothing from the controller at all and no "leave the freq to get weather" dialog either. No vectors or nothing. Hello everyone. I have been busy lately and I basically quit FSX for a while and now that I have come back, I got everything set up for a flight from KJFK-KMIA and after takeoff, I get told to watch my altitude and that my assigned altitude is and then it just stutters/freezes and doesn't say anything so I don't know what it is!Basically, I forgot to write down what was told to me at clearance but either way it shouldn't freeze up like that. Does anyone know how to fix this or why it happens? Pretty sure I fixed it before but it's been so long now and I forgot how I got it to work...

I am re-installing RC4.3 and since I've been away for a long time plan to do the tutorials again. Are they ready to go or will I need to make the plans in FSX first? Thanks

Hi guys been away for awhile using rc4 loaded up the 737ngx and noticed the engine sound comes and goes. Pressing q brings it back all the time. If i dont use rc the engine sound is normal. Havnt tied it yet on other aircaft as of yet will do and post back the results to rule out the ngx

Does RC use FSX flight plans or will I need a third party flight planner?Thanks

Hi,Long time user of Radar Contact and since getting FSX and my new computer up and running I have noticed a few changes. I am using Mytraffic X with settings at 50% density which I feel is realistic. In FS9 the traffic used to stop for you while taxing but now here in FSX not all traffic will stop. Just about every flight entails having to taxi through or having another aircraft taxi through me from the gate to the runway or from the runway to the gate. This is kind of ruining it for me, getting clobbered by wingtips and noses left and right. I would never be able to run collisions with other aircraft ON here. I am about to install AI Smooth for FSX for the go around iss…

Hi all,I Purchased Radar Contact many many moons ago when it was released and supplied on CD. I wish to re-install RC4 for FSX on my new PC but I have no idea what email address I would have used back when I purchased it. I have moved house twice and changed ISP's a few times so I'm not sure if I even have access to the email address any more. I have looked at the website for RC4 but I can't see a way to find out what email I would have used.Any one have any ideas?Many ThanksDean Farley.

Hi,I am using AI smooth now in FSX and for the life of me have not been able to find a .ini for it or a setting in the UI to disable that scrolling green text on the top of the screen when AI smooth controls an AI every time. This also causes a stutter which is real annoying. I also have not found a way to disable these green messages in fsx although they went away when I started using RC4 and I cant remember what I did. Or maybe I did not do anything.Thanks

Hi guys. Just wondering if this is normal: it doesn't bother me, but it strikes me as odd. Often clearance delivery will clear me for an altitude (say 16,000ft) and tell me to expect my filled FL within 10 mins. Then, departure tells me I'm under radar contact and to climb and maintain a lower altitude (usually15,000 FT). But I was already cleared for 16000!As I said, it doesn't matter much, but I don't know if its supposed to happen or not. Regards.

Just started FSX after many years, and just bought RC. (last version I had was RC99...lol) I've been trying to get re-aquainted with RC by following the tutorials. I'm still on the first one....First problem I had was the tutorial wants me to set the departure gate as B3. If I do that I end up out in the grass! I noticed that according to FSX the assignable gates are in either "A" or "D" terminal. I did try updating FSUIPC and makerunways., and rebuilding the RC databases. Same problem...I kind of fixed this by putting my plane at A3 and using A3 instead of B3 in the RC setup.So I have gotten to the departure phase in the flight, I've been handed off to departure, …

Hi, after a long time I'm back to simulation, and I've forgotten a couple of things.First: after rebuilding the scenery database, 6 files are created in the main FSX folder, what should I do with them?Second: about a year ago I asked here how I could define permanently the comm frequencies for an airport which hadn't them (so I could have realistic frequencies without having to insert them every single time before starting a flight). However recently I've had to reinstall RC4, so all these changes got lost with the files.I want to do this operation once again, but I forgot how. Can anyone help me?Much appreciated, thank you

Is there any way to eliminate Radar Contacts need to have the comm frequency tuned? What I mean by this is at all. I know there is the option to tell it not to auto-tune, but it still waits for the user to then tune in the frequency. Normally either of these is fine, but it conflicts with something else I'm running and can't have the comms change at all.Thanks.

Hi there,I've used Radar Contact for quite some time now, since yesterday I am experiencing a strange thing.I used to start my flights from EDDM, and ATIS always announced both runways (26 R and L, or 8 R and L) in use.Now every time I start a flight Radar Contact ATIS only has one runway opened, sometimes I can hear the MSFS ATIS in the background which hasboth runways opened. I have downloaded the newest version of makerunways a couple of days ago and executed it within RC4 via the "Rebuild Scenery" button.I guess that's where the problem started, here are the lines covering EDDM from the r4.csv file within the radar contact data folder.EDDM,0081,48.362759,11.767504,148…

Hi I am trying to combine using RC and the QW757 FMC together but up untill now been unsuccesfull. I have been createing my flight plan using FS build which is imported into the QW 757 FMC and also into FSX. what my problem is that the two dont sem to sync up well. What i am trying to do is use RC for its ATC chater and also for its frequency tuning, then when i have been authorised to proced on my own navigation let the FMC take over up untill approach and landing where i want RC to help me out again. Has any one attempted this and been succesfull and how did they do it. Thanks Shaun

This is basically where RC menus and controller responses begin to take longer than usual to respond to our user input. This is mostly observed by many of us during approach and landing when using RC and HiFi's ASE, in DWC mode. Hi,I have been having this problem for awhile now, but I have just decided that they may be a solution to the problem. The problem is that on approach, Radar Contact gives the weather and for the winds given its sometimes gives the active runway as the tailwind. This often occurs when the airport I am approaching has only one ILS runway, and this is often which Radar Contact wants me to land at. But I would prefer the VOR approach and landing into a headwind. This isn't a problem cos I can ask the ATC for the other runway, but the AI aircraft still land on the tailwind runway meaning that often I have to go around due to the other aircraft.Is there any solution to this pr…

Have flown 2 flights today with 2 different aircraft, however when cleared to a certain altitude eks. FL120 and reaching it the controller keeps telling me i have busted my altitude, when checking my altitude "ctrl Z" the altitude is + - 30 ft of my assigned altitude, is the ATC to sensitive or is it how it should be? allowing for wind and pressure it would be difficult to stay at precisly FL120.FS9.1ASEDA F70Feelthere ERJ 145
