Just felt this needed to be said. I recently had a crash on my desktop system. Needless to say all the long hours of getting FSX and all my addons set up where I was happy, they where gone in a flash!! (Stupid Computer) Anyways I spent the last three days returning my system to an operational status. However, when I went to reload RCv4, I was presented a registration error. The key I was sent was the key I attempted to use to reinstall RCv4. Unfortunately it would not accept my Key. Don't know why it wasn't accepted? I fired an email off to Jdtllc with regards to my dilemma on Sunday night. This afternoon I received a response with a new key and had RCv4 up and running in…

How do you explain the discrepancy in runway information that is displayed by approach in RCv4 and that which I see in FSNavigator afcad, For example, at EGLC runway 09 is displayed by RC with a heading of 91 degrees while the afcad in FSNavigator is shown as heading 98 degrees.Is there a solution for this? Please excuse me for asking as I cannot find an appropriate posting using the search function.ThanksDom

Firstly- RC4 is brilliant, wish I had got it sooner.One thing I have searched for and read the manual about, will RC put me in a holding pattern if traffic is busy at an airport?I run Al smooth which I know holds al traffic but I was wondering if it was only weather RC puts me in a hold for but also traffic also?RegardsH

Hi everybody, I have RC 4.3 and FS2004 and it was working fine until today, When I try to load a plan in RC, it shows the runtime error '62' and it says it cant get departure information. I have makerways 4.5 and FSUIPC 3.99. I have rebuilded the database and it did not work. Hi, I've had this program for a long time and had it working several times. Yesterday I installed it again since it's been off of my new computer, I ran my old registartion number and it failed so I emailed JD and got another one, I put that one in and it failed too! Quick question.Under utlities on the main page their's no button that shows for update.I do have the latest ver., so could this why the update button doesn't show?Does the update button only show when their's a update?One more thing reguarding this forum.Since I'm new I've been trying to read past pages, of course I can't read all 341 pages in one sitting.I'm at page 30, but each time I get to read pages again, I have to keep hitting next to get to page I left off at. I read that while taxing and when close to the end of runway for takeoff, ground will have you monitor tower or contact tower.My problem (if it's really a problem) is ground has me contact tower when I'm half way down the taxiway(at least 2,000 or so feet to go to the end). I wouldn't see this as a problem if I am able to just contact tower andthey acknowldge, but when I contact tower my pilot voice will tell tower that I'm ready for departure and I'm still halfway down the runway. Tower would respond with I'm number 2 (although I could not see another aircraft in front of me) and wait until I'm at the hold line before telling me to position and hold on the runway. I woul…

The only real problem I have with RC4 is lack of callsigns. Did you ever consider releasing an update with missing popular callsigns since it can be years until new RC version?

Hi Guys Ive sent JD an e-mail on this but just wondered if any of you have ideas on how to resolve? I have a regsistered CD copy of Radar Contact installed on my old PC which i use for FS9. Decided to take the plunge and buy a new rig to run FSX and as advised asked JD to send me the link for the upgrade to 4.3 which was sent right away. My problem is that for whatever reason i cannot complete the download as it stops after downloading between 60 and 100mb of the 681mb download. Ive tried about 10 times but unfortunately it just stops every time (ive even tried using download managers with no success). Anyway im now at a loss as to to how i can get RC working in FSX. …

Hi all, I have requested 5 times a key from [email protected] times i got a mail back stating Radar Contact Version 4 Key - Failure and that my email address was wrong.But this is not the case. It is the same as what i used for the purchase. I also tried 3 different formats ccccccc ! firstname ! lastnameccccccc ! firstname ! lastnameccccccc!firstname!lastname Same result - Failure i tried also via webmail and ipad. This is a new problem for me. RC vectors me into Dallas for landing on RW 17L. I set the NAV receiver to the right frequency: 111.75, but when I'm about 25 miles out I check the identifier on the NAV signal, and I have the identifier for the localizer for RW 35R (it is the same frequency). I'm in the proper position, so why was I getting the back course identifier? Is this an RC problem, an FSX problem, or this something else entirely? I have the log for this flight if JD thinks its worth looking at. Alan

I can't seem to find where I can change the colour of the rc4 display, I have seen others with white text and would like to do that, mine is red right now and its hard to see, I forget if its in the rc4 manual or in the fsuipc manual, any help would be great.

I can't get the atc window to stay closed. For example: atc tellsme to contact center, I'll press the 1 key and after contacting center I'll close window, but after a few seconds it will pop up again. I only want this window to pop up when atc contacts me. Standard fs atc window would always stay closed until they would contact me. Is their a way to keep this window closed until atc contacts me?Another thing I assigned a key (cntr `) to open and close atc window, but it only opens the window. It doesn't close it. Not a really big deal, I just click the X on the window. I just thought the key command should turn the window on and off. Also is their a way to add a button c…

I'm having a problem with either REX or RC4. On my last flight, from Chicago to Omaha, RC simply stopped working about 70 miles out. I noticed that the distance to the next waypoint was remaining constant, so I paused FSX and moved the mouse down to the bottom of the screen to click on the RC icon and open the RC window, but it was gone. Evidently, the program had just shut down. This all happened soon after a REX weather update. I have been having trouble with REX and I suspect REX, but I don't know how to nail down the culprit. My question: I periodically saved the flight using RC's CS; command. Would it be helpful to press Debug and start up a log from the last …

Hi guysjust trying to reinstall RC onto my new pc. I have my new activation key and I have pasted it into the registration window paneland entered it. This panel then shut down (as it should) but when I start rc again the registration panel appears again asking for the key again.I made sure that the key no. is right by pasting it from the email with no spaces before or after it.I was thinking - my previous pc was Vista 32bit. My new pc is Windows7 64bit. Could this be the problem??Need help to sort this guys, this is my favourite addon for the 737NGx. Cheers -Jim Tierney

RC seems to work well with PMDG's 737NGX but today after saving a situation, I tried loading the ".RCD" (after starting FSX, loading the saved situation/flight and then starting RC) but the RCD file was not there. Is there anything special that I need to do when saving a NGX flight with RC ? Over the years, I have saved many PMDG-747X flights with RC but this is my first save attempt with the 737NGX. I use RC4 constantly on my Vista system. I would also like to run it on my XP system. I understand I need a second key. What is the cost for this? Any discount for already owning RC4? Great program!

Hi all, I am returning to flightsimming after a couple of years absence. I would like to reinstall Radar Contact, which I own on CD. It is version 4.0 however, and I only see an install option for FS2004.Do I need to buy the software a second time or can I download an update and use my old serial number? Best regards,
