Since we all know Microsoft can't make anything that works (Standard Microsoft quality) stuff they make are doomed to crash either often or rarely, but guaranteed to crash.Anyways, I was about to prepare my camera views to reach the autobrake controls on the aircraft and FSX crashed with the ever so MS Classic, "Unknown error."Not related but here is the issue... The manual states there is a .rcd file that you can load and it will restore everything, nice and dandy actually.So I assume even the FSX Autosave which I run every 30 seconds to counteract for Microsoft's errors and I look for this RCD file to load...And this is where the problem starts, I use Radar Contact 4.3 …

Hello all. I have recently restalled FSX/FSUIPC/Radar Contact 4 on a new computer. It all seemed to work well at first, but now the voices in RC4 are interposed with a pause. "Climb (pause) flight level (pause) three (pause) nine (pause)".....and so on. I looked in the Winwood directory and this has a couple of sample players and when I try these, the same thing happens. The normal FSX ATC seems to work well. The new PMDG 737 NGX is running with a frame rate of 30 so the computer has plenty of horsepower. Should add FSX is running on Windows 7 64 bit. Hi All, I have a small problem with RC4.3 in FSX - Sometimes the window appears to lock up, and the commands stop working. Or it just goes incredibly slow. For instance, If I press 9 to go to the next menu, sometimes, it works normally and happens instantly, sometimes I have to wait several seconds and then it works, or sometimes just nothing happens at-all. When it completely freezes the only way that I have found to make it work again is to open up the FSUIPC menu and close it again, and that usually brings it back to life again. I have the same problem when trying to communicate with the controllers. I'll press, say, 7 to acknowledge, however it will take a good 5 - …

I am using Vroute to import flight plans to my PMDG MD-11, but im getting confused. When i load a flight do i use ms flight planner or not. When im flying the Vroute assigned plan RC is shouting at me for being of the ms plan. any help appreciated. Alan

I'm going nuts with the delays in reponse from RC FSX (no problem with the FS9 version). When I'm asked to contact departure or any other station, nothing happens for 20 or 30 seconds after I press "1". By this time ATC is screaming at me to contact the assigned station. I'm so frustrated, I'm about to push the "1" through the keyboard. I've got the latest FSUIP installed, don't have the "display text" box checked, run makerwys.exe regularly. What's up with this? Hi JD and test team, I just want to request (offer) specific feature for RC V5. There is metric Flight Levels (hight) and QFE for some countries. Is it possible to add different FL measurement? Some countries (Chine, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus...) have FL's in meters, uses hight with QFE. It would be very very realistic for flights over these countries.

Hi'I upgraded my pc, and got the windows 7 32bit.I still have my original cd version 4. I saved the v4.3 update exe from the previous setup.I installed from the cd. It ran OK. Upon launching RC I get this error message-Runtime error 429ActiveX component cannot create object What do i do? Greettins, I am very interested in RC4 but have a few questions that I hope someone could help me with. I do a lot a spotting at my favorite airport and would like to know while spotting from a position at the airport if I would be able to hear and see RC ATC communicate and control AI to AI interactions or must I be flying with a flight plan for this to happen? I bought RC4 last Saturday and have had numerous FSUIPC problems. Thought I had it all squared away last night and attempted my first flight. I filed using FSX Flight Planner for KBOS.LVR.KACK flying the Mooney Bravo. Everything started great and worked until the approach phase. I received no approach instructions until I was 1 mile from the airport at 3000 ft, when I was told to turn to a heading toward the localizer (RW 24 at KACK). Obviously, too little, too late. I though approach vectors was the default mode, and I never asked for visual or anything else. Any ideas? All assistance greatly appreciated; I'm getting quite frustrated. Alan

Hi, how do I get radar vector during departures on my flights that i have created using FSBuild. Do i need to remove the first couple waypoints? I was flying from SAN to KDEN for a commercial flight. Back in the days. I remember atc giving me headings to intercept the flight plan for my GPS from departure to around 16000 feet or so. Is there a trick to getting these vectors in the start of flight. I'm sure I get them during preparations to approach. Thanks

Hi, I just tried to re-install RC4.3 on my machine under Win7x64. I'm getting the registration window, putting in name(s) and registry key --- and nothing happens. The window disappears and there is no further program reaction. What is going wrong? BTW, I just have sent a new registration request in case the other one is outdated. Regards,Axel

I have purchased a couple of versions of this product however obtaining a registration key for this product is a long and laborious process (as I have done this before, it was the single "sticking point" to my decision to buy this....). Though the product is a good product, and I appreciate the need to protect the software.. I would suggest that the registration process be changed to eliminate delays in the purchase and use of the product. There's got to be a better way as this is simply to involved...

I am planning a flight from Santiago (Chile) SCEL to Madrid Barajas (LEMD) through FSBuild.When I take clearence for take off the ATC assigns me to runway 17 but does not clarify whether it is 17L or 17R.I am using latest navdata, the LatinVFR SCEL airport and have rebuilt scenery DB.Any ideas why is this happening?

Hello ! I purchased V4.0 cd sometime in 2005 i guess, and would like to re-install and register it. I kept my old v4.0 install copy on a hard disk, so if I try to launch it as this, it tells me it is not registered of course (it's not in Windows registry either obviously :-) . Well, I have my product ID, my original CD v4.0 with jacket and case, i was member of RC google group after v4.0 launch.. but I lost my email confirmation and proof of purchase. I was using outlook express and I didn't save this old 1Gb database when I moved on to online only emails services. So, is it possible to receive the v4.3 download link ? And should I wait for it and then register I guess? M…

Let me say up front that I do not see how this can be done; however, since I am no expert I thought it best to ask THE experts. With RC running on a second computer the ATC voice comes from that second computer. Is there a way to get the voices to come from the FSX computer just as they would if it was running RC? I'm thinking about buying RC4 but would like to clarify a few things first.. When you're creating ur flight plan prior to loading it onto RC4 do u create the SID and star at the same time or just select Published dep in RC4 and u select the SID directly in the fmc.. if you've programmed a STAR in the fmc will RC4 still vector you to ur landing rwy. Does RC4 have progressive taxi???Can you use fplans that were created in fsbuild??

Hi,ok when I load radar contact as the administrator (right clicking on shortcut) i get the following error message: component 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.My system is windows 7 64bit. I have the file comdlg32.ocx in SysWOW64 folder. I also registered the file by running the cmd prompt and when doing this I also ran it as administrator. I then received the message that this file was successfully registered. But i still get the original error message when trying to run radar contact.so now im at a dead end of what to do next. is it a problem with the original file? or with some other file connected to it?…

Enjoying RC4 very much, what a difference from the fs9 ATC, however i was wondering why RC always uses the secondary runway to takeoff instead of the main runway at EKYT (Aalborg Denmark) my local airport, i do land however on the main runway. Any ideas

Hello, I've been a RC4 user for years and today on a flight from Boston to BWI ATC told me to navigate "direct after 16,000ft". I thought that was pretty cool. I've been using RC for a while and this was the first time I've heard this. Nice touch!!

Hi all, Does anyone know how to get up a Com log similar to the one in FSX default ATC when using Radar Contact 4.3? The problem is that while I can hear the controller, it's very faint so I have trouble catching all the commands. So a written log on screen would be helpful. Unless anyone knows how to turn up the RC4 sound at all? BTW I'm using FSX. Many thanks

I purchased Radar Contact 2 years ago, and was told by the develper that they're working on a next version. Is this not the case? Shame if this awesome add-on has been abandoned. Gavin
