Sorry about this. I've another question.Radar Contact has a key assignment of 'CTRL+ Shift+ /' for the request to repeat the controller's instruction. With a memory and hearing like mine, it's a very useful tool.However, that assignment changes the view in FSX to outside. I never use it, and as it takes priority over Radar Contact I would like to delete it. But I can't damn well find it in my 'FSX settings/controls/keyboard assignments'.Does anyone know where else I might be able to find it in FSX?Alternatively, what other assignment I can give this in Radar Contact that's not likely to be used elsewhere. I would really like to hear some friendlyer controlers in V5. I have been monitoring real world ATC and i haven't heard any as nasty as those guys on RC4. I'm still a rooky so i get barked at a lot.

Whenever I use 34L for takeoff or approach, RC4 identifies 34C instead. I assume 34C was 34L until the addition of the present 34L. FSX is getting a bit older but isn't there a way to fix this?I ran "makerunways" yesterday but no change.

Hi:I am a brand-new newb to RC (just downloaded today). What I am wondering about is how RC is kept current with ATC published routes. I use Flightsim Commander for my flight planner. Starting on page 87 of the RC manual, there is a flight from KLAS to KLAX using a SID of IDALE1 and a STAR of CIVET4. However, neither of these exists in the FS Commander database, which I download from Navigraph. The Navigraph AIRAC update is April 7 to May 4, 2011. I saved the flight plan to the FS9 flight plan directory and loaded it into RC. After passing the first few waypoints, the RC controller directed me to essentially reverse course! I have RC4 up and running but inadvertently let it install under Program Files in Windows 7. If I want to move it to a directory where I won't have the "run as admin" problem, should I uninstall, re-install, and request a new key?

Hi all,I was probably one of the first to purchase Radar Contact when it was first released many years ago. I bought it coming from BAO Flightshop. Yeah I know I'm going way back. I liked the way it was designed but couldn't get past the robotic voices. I ended up buying Pro Flight and used that. The Pro Flight did not work with Fs2004 (before emulator) I used default MsFS ATC then with the Edit Voice pack mods. I was chosen for the Pro Flight Emulator beta team but didn't have the time back then to do it. I ended up buying the program and using it for a little while. I liked the flow of the voices. The problem was some bugs and the lack of ai interaction. I have UT along…

Whenever I go into Options-->.Settings-->Sound and uncheck the ATC box and click OK, I go back to make sure it was unchecked and it is still enabled. Anyone else ever have this issue?

I've been using RC for only a few weeks but absolutely love it so far. It has worked flawlessly on numerous flights of varying lengths and locations with my Carenado Bonanza, C340, and C208B.Unfortunately, I'm having issues now when I use it with some of my jets (F1 Mustang and F-Lite A320). RC simply freezes at seemingly random periods of the flight after an instruction to change frequencies. It has happened on the ground when switching to Clearance. It has happened in flight between Centers. Hi.startet at KLAX, I got somehow lost at the airport taxiing to the right runway. So I had to abbord the takeoff. I taxiied to the right one and stood there for ages. No clearance for takeoff came. I started the takeoff and after I already was in the air, RC told me I can takeoff now. After that I flew as planed but RC did not tell me any flightlevel but kept telling me the air pressure. Strange, I was already well above FL18!Still no chatter, no other radio contact. I even dialed to the center frequency manual without luck.So, what to do now? I am still on my way to KSEA...

Hiya fellas,I'm quite used to using RC4! However I want to practice some holds. I seem to recall from the manual (but cant find it in there now!) that there has to be a vor within a certain distance from the airport? Please can someone enlighten me? I've done several flights with hold selected but havnt been held - EGCC-EDDT and EGCC-EGAC, EGCC-EGAA. Please can you tell me the correct procedure. Can you force a hold??Rory

Hello there, yesterday I was doing a short flight from KDEN to KEGE with RCv43 in FS9. I was aiming for a LDA/DME RWY 25 arrival. Flight plan was a simple DEN ROCKI7.RLG EGE at 16000 ft in an ATR72Departure went fine and while I was in cruise I had an ATC call about my arrival. Curious before I purchase on the following questions:1- Does RC work if you use acceleration, 2x or 4x?2- This covers all ATC areas, Korea, Thailand, USA, etc?

Morning, i'm new of this forum. My problem: i load a flight plan built in FsNavigator, both in RC and in the default 737, from Bologna to Rome Fiumicino. After takeoff, here is good, i follow the Sid to Peretola (Florence), with plane GPS procedure (NAV button activated): in this time no msg from RC. Then RC says me to heading in a route with nosense, in fact RC do not follow the original flight plan. Where is my mistake? Thank you!

I seem to have lost the ability to drag and resize the ATC dialog window.All other aspects of RC4 and FS9 are fine.I've touched nothing,honest.

HiI wonder if it will be possible in v5 fly IFR in areas without radar vectoring information but with HF traffic information e.g 8888 and aircraft making IFBP Blind on 126.90?If not...I want to suggestion this!thanks

Hey everyone, i'm new here and I come baring a hopefully relatively simple problem. I got RC ages ago and after a recent installation on my new Win 7 Ultimate 64bit system i'v come across this unusual problem that i'v not had before. RC seems to have no recognition of my AI traffic (supplied by WOAI) and the default FS2004 ATC continues as usual. All the necessary bottons are ticked; such as 'interact with AI' but it doesn't seem to do anything. It seems to have no knowlede of my AI, which ended up in a few close calls as I was taxxing and RC giving me directions to position and hold whilst I was 5 aircraft back in a departure queue. Got a problem here. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but I got it to work fine the other day and that's the only time I've been successful.A panel comes up on the screen but for some reason it won't work. I've clicked it in a clear space as suggested but it just won't work when I key the numbers. Strangely, part of it is working because its listing mileage and frequencies.However, I've looked through the manual and the panel I get doesn't seem to be one of those many that are pictured in it. I have the same problem as others. With a new computer after loading RC4 (CD version), when I right click to run as administrator it defaults back to the enter code box. FSX, WIN7, 64bit.

Hi all,I really enjoyed RC4.3 in FS9. I upgraded to FSX about 6 months ago and never got around to installing RC for FSX. I just did so earlier this week and it isn't working for me at all. No matter what I do I can't get past the first window with "Wx briefing" or Clearence from FSS" menu options (I'm starting at an uncontrolled airport). When I press the key for either one I see the window display change very quickly to "standby" and then back to the same menu choices, with no sound from RC. If I hit the keystroke to minimize the window nothing happens.I've done the following:1) Upgraded FSUIPC to 4.70 - no change2) Confirmed that I can hear sound from the "Voices" menu…

i have upgraded to a new sytem from pentium 4 to core i7; a totally new system, including the case.my problem is, after installing everything, i became muted.i can hear everything, the ai traffic, other pilots, etc.but my atc window is blank when i am supposed to speak and there are no voices supposed to be coming from me.for example:atc window displays 1] request clearance; so i press 1 to request clearance.then i get a blank atc window and silence (although all other sounds continue)after a while, the ATC speaks and the ATC window displays the words it is speaking.any solution to this?i did not have this problem with my pentium 4 cpu, is it related?thanks.
