G'day,I am currently using the MeatWater packs in RC and I find they are just about blowing out my ear drums (well not quite but the voices are far too loud). Now I would say this would also apply to the original files except that they are not as intrusive as the MW voices because the static is absent.I know I can reload the original files but my question really applies to both. How can I turn down the volume without adjusting my speakers (at the speaker) or turning down the volume using the FSX Sound Control Panel? Is there somewhere in the RC cfg or smething that I could adjust? If anyone can throw some light on this (not your voice) I would be grateful and happy.Regard…

Hi allWhat a fantastic product RC4 is. Gentlemen,I searched the Forum but couldn't get a solution to my problem.I run FSX on a W7 machine and a client PC with Windows XP and Wide FS. Wide FS runs perfectly with several programs. So connection is not an issue.I installed RC4 on the client PC only (not the FSX machine), ran it after having FSX loaded at the gate, clocks ticking and after I hit the START RC4 button, the program minimized, but worked. I could get the ATIS, requested the clearance, taxi, takeoff clearances and flew my flightplan, everything works fine, but the menu, where I can request a higher level or direct to is simply not there!Where can I find it or switch it on? I installed rc on my fsx machine. I load up fsx, load up rc, import the same flight plan to both rc and fsx. Rc screen comes up but does not recognize any keypress. I've tried changing the keyboard mapping but to no avail. The story so far: I brought Radar Contact V4 a few years ago and I was running Fight Simulator 2004 (Century of Flight) on Windows XP. I was very happy with it, so it was a sad day when my computer died.I now have a new computer with Windows 7 (64 bit) and running FSX. I have tried to install Radar Contact from my cd and when it asks for my registration code I enter it. The window then disappears and nothing more happens. If I try to run Radar Contact again, then the registration windows comes up again.Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can come up with.

Hi Guys and Girls,I've just bought a saitek radio panel and was doing some testing with RC4.I have a question. When I tune the freq requested and transfer it to the active freq I was under the impression that RC4 would automatically then contact this freq.For example:1- Contact center on 131.92- I press 7 to acknowledge.3 - I tune 131.9 on the panel and transfer to active.Now at this point I thought that RC4 would 'goto' 131.9 and instructions would continue to be recieved?In fact, RC4 sits there waiting for me to press 1 to 'contact center on 131.9'.This defeats the object of having the radio panel in my view as I may as well keep pressing 1. to tune and contact etcAm I …

I was landing tonight at kphl and a southwest 737 decided " I need to get to the gate fast dispatcher is going to kill me if I miss our turn around time" and chose to cut right across the active right after I landed. I am using WOAI for my AI at 75 percent and I am also using AIsmooth. I did the rebuild scenery thing last night and I have interact with ai checked.Any ideas?

3ghz / 18gb RAM / video card with 512mb FSX with recent (2 days) download RC4.3 add on: MyTraffic5 LevelD 767-300ERI'm left at the takeoff end of the runway (KSFO rwy 28L, KSJC rwy 12L) with instructions to monitor tower. There's AI traffic in front of me (I'm #2 or 3), but the tower never clears anyone to take off. I've waited 15 minutes without change. I tired "Abort and try again", but the tower just replies "you're #2 for take off". Nothing happens. I then tried Zurich - Heathrow. Yesterday I made a flight from Madrid Barajas to Lima Chavez airport and I flew during the night at FL 370.I followed the vectors from RC in order to land and I crashed on the mountains.Have I done anything wrong or RC does not know the area around the airport?

Hi folks,Damian Clark, author of Active Sky, has come through again, this time with help on the problems some of us had when a period of light and variable winds occurs. In my case, not only did RC's ATC change runways on me twice after announcing them in the ATIS, but FS's AI Traffic were landing and taking off every which way.I've not tested the update yet, as I had a disk crash on my development system just before going on holiday and need to rebuild my development environment first, but here's Damian's own explanation of what's been implemented. Hi everyone,I´ve tried to find a solution for this for quite some time but now I´m thinking that I need a new perspective because I´m stuck.My problem:I´m using FS9 with RC 4 and Flightsim Commander 8.6 (FSC) for flightplanning (mostly flight in Europe). Usually I start FSC first ,select the departure airport, download real weather and do the departure and arrival planning based on the weather info FSC provides. Hi,As you are well aware, some airports use certain nonstandard taxiway designators (reference for example the LEPA ground chart). The most common ones are Link, North, East, South, West. Could you include at least those in the scripts, as many afcads have Link taxiways coded as LINK so we could hear it the usual way and not Lima, India, November, Kilo or the like? Subs?

I have been thinking about getting RC but have a question. I have about 15 flt plans I downloaded from Simroutes for my LD767 and CS757. The flt plans for the 767 end with .rte and the 757 with .rt. How do I convert the .rte file into a .pln file for import into the RC Main Screen? Thanks.

I've been away from Flight Sim for a couple years and am now getting back into the routine.I use Radar Contact, and PMDG products (FMC).When I last was involved, I used FS Build2 for flight planning. I would like to run RC4 on a different computer that is not my main FSX system (To say another way- the different computer is not where I have FSX installed) . I have Wideclient installed and working on this different system where I currently run FSC9, Air Hauler and a few other programs. Hey all,I just purchased Radar Contact v4.3 today, and after reading these forums I found out I better install Meatwater's Vocpack for more realistic sounds.Ok, so I did, and as per Meatwater's instructions, I backed up all folders 0 - 98 in the winwood folder of RC (a total of 61 folders), and then unzipped all 10 parts of of Meatwater's zip-files into winwood. Just to be sure, I then recounted the number of folders 0 - 98, and to my surprise I only found 60.So I went digging to see what folder was missing, and apparently folder 63 existed in the original version, but not in Meatwater's pack.Did anyone else ever notice that ? Hi,Having a strange problem and im not sure where to go first I make all my flight plans using fscommander exporting them as fs2004 flightplans and loading them into Radar Contact have just noticed that flying into and from EHAM causes Radar contact to completely ignore this airport you can see when you load a flightplan it says EGLL to @30,000ft rather than EGLL to EHAM @30,000ft tried other airports they work fine also this happens on default EHAM airport scenery not sure whether it's a RC problem but more likely an FSC problem any advice would be appreciated.Also a side effect of this is when I start RC it moves my aircraft from EHAM to 0 Lat and 0 Lon on the map in ga…

Ok, I am not happy and I am not completely computer illiterate but I cannot get rc to work. I have w7 32 bit and open the progam as admin. I can get the call out to respond but when I start rc after being in "fly now" mode in fsx, the atc window is red and will not accept or respond to any commands. I have searched this forum to no avail. For 44 bucks, there should be a straight forward answer. Does anyone have one?

Hi,could anyone tell me why I do not have ADV display in my modules menu,also there appears to be several options missing from the on screen options box eg..there is no option to skip a waypoint and continue to the next,in fact I only have keys 0891&7 operative.According to the pdf manual there should be quite a few options available from the onscreen display box.In addition,I notice that the facility to update on the main config screen is missing.The version number is 4.3.3845.Regards Alan

Is there any way to get better control of AI traffic iether with Radar Contact (Or maybe UT which i am using) Last night i was coming in to KSFO at rwy 28L and wached a 777 ahead of me going in to RWY 28R. Just as i dropped my nose gear onto the runway, there in front of me halfway down the Runway was the 777 looking to cross my runway on his way to the gate.Well he did just that and after standing on the brakes and using reverse thrust longer than normal, i stopped a few feet from him. Now i think about it i notice when taxiing, i am alway the one who has to hold position. Any ideas? Or is that something i will just have to put up with?BTW my Commercial traffic slider is…
