Version 2402 fixes the format of FS .pln exports. 2403 fixes among other things SID routes. Follow this thread to get release notes and the upgrade link:http://www.fsbuild.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3630Note that a fairly recent Navigraph AIRAC is included. FSBuild will no longer issue free AIRAC updates.Active Sky users will need to reset their path to their Active Sky folder under the Options tab of FSB, then under configuration save the changes. They will become active on restarting FSB.I am posting this here because it has been of interest to many RC users particularly those that export the plans to various navigation instruments using a proprietary format such…

Hi allI'm less than happy :-( Just spent over an hour flying from EPWA to EHAM and thern, about 100NM from EHAM, Radar Contact crashes with a Run Time 75 error.I've done some searches and JDDT seem to suggest that 75 errors are caused by not running RC as administrator on vista/win 7, but I have Win XP. I will try to run as administrator in future to see if it helps.I do have Norton 360 but I can't find ANYWHERE any layman advice on how to set up permissions (RC doesn't even show up as a program). To be honest, I'm getting a bit down with FS, much as I hate to say it. I seem to spend more time tweaking and faffing about, and praying it won't crash as I do flying! Even the…

All,I've uploaded a gauge to the AvSim Library that you may find useful with Radar Contact. You can find it here.A red LED illuminates when the current pressure differs from that set on the altimeter. It should help those who are being nagged by RC about being at wrong altitudes and flight levels.JD, you might want to pin this topic.

Dear friends,I have a question to ask.During a long many hours flight as you pass over different countries you switch between different controllers and acknowledge. Is there a way to do this automatically, I mean to tune and acknowledge automatically without having to press 1 in order to tune? Autoreply is done easy by the general menu but can you also autotune in order not to have to be present for long (10 hours) flights? Thanks

Don't know what I'm doing wrong, J.D., but ever since I reloaded RC4.3 everything works fine except it won't "tune on contact". Have tripled checked the settings and they appear correct. NO display text, YES on pilot wavs and autoreply, YES on checkpoint ding and interact with AI, YES on tune on contact and NO on IFR. Suggestions...Jeff EvenRockln, CA, USA

As you guys know, FS ATC gives VFR aircraft clearance to transition class B U.S. airspace in the air. For V5, have you been able to extend this such that you can pick up a clearance for this on the ground if the departure airfield is in Class Bravo? As you know, aircraft need a verbatim clearance before entering this class of airspace.

Hi,What parts of RC 4.3 feature list concering ATC comms capability can IYP not address? I know that some would say I should contact IYP for this, and I surely can, but my hope was that someone who uses these 2 products together may be able to provide some information not only for this specific question but general useablity as well. I also would like to know if there are definite concrete plans for IYP compatibility with version RC v5 when released? I guess to make this question a little more indirect, have the developers been working with each other at some level towards the RC v5 project? If I purchase IYP I want to be comfortable that both these products work togeth…

I'm wondering how parallel runway crossing clearances are supposed to work when taking off. For example, let's say I'm directed to taxi to 24L for departing but have to cross over 24R to get to it (which would normally be used for landing). You can't cross any active runway without prior clearance, yet I never get a hold short order for 24R. If I sit and wait, I sit there forever. I have to actually cross 24R without clearance and hold short of 24L before RC will give me the go ahead to enter 24L.I guess the same would apply when landing and you turn off the runway, but are going to cross an active parallel runway to get to the terminal. Typically, I would think you …

Not really a Radar contact question so i apologize in advance, i wonder if i could tap into your experience about fuel planning. Ok you don't need to simply fill the tanks to 100% because the plane will use fuel to carry the excess fuel, so you need to take into account distance, wind direction etc, but things happen along the way such as a holding pattern and go arounds You still need healthy fuel tanks upon landing. I made a flight from Little Rock to DFW, missed my initial approach due to wind, went around, coming in the second time, RC told me to go around again, but feared i would run out of fuel over the city of Dallas How is this handled in the real world, and …

Hello,I recently bought a copy of Aerosoft's Trondheim Værnes X, a very nice airport scenery for Trondheim (Norway). I have a problem with RC though. Tower tells me to line up on the runway (09), but I never get clearance for takeoff. I have waited up to 15 minutes and nothing happens. Aircrafts that were cleared for landing are ordered to go around because I am just standing there doing nothing.Any suggestions?

Did a KADS-KCRP flight with RC4 today and pressures were at 30.33, causing RC4 to bark at me about altitude busting. This is the second such flight this has happened to in the span of a month. Is there some hard coded setting somewhere in RC4 that can be adjusted to allow for such pressures? Has anyone else seen this sort of behavior?

As I understand it, RC maintains separation between user and AI by telling AI to get out of the way. Is it supposed to do this at cruising altitude? I periodically have conflicts where I have to take evasive (and get pinged for busting altitude). Afterwards, I'll hear RC telling the AI "resume normal navigation". As far as I can tell, AI never departed from "normal navigation"So, what should I expect from RC in the way of separation by centers?

Hi,I run FSX on Win 7/64 with RCv4.0.3675 on one PC, one monitor.I have just updated Makerwys.exe to v .443. All went well. However when I went to rebuild Scenery BD (not widescreen) I got the message 'makerwys.exe is not in your FS path, which should be'. This is exactly as it is written. RC seems to be running OK.Any ideas please?Tich Bennett

Hello,I am a brand new user of this program, and so far it is working beautifully and as advertised. I have a question however. I can still hear AI traffic talking to the MS Default ATC controllers. Is this normal? Or is this the "Chatter". I am sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldnt find a simple answer by using the search function. Thank you.Brian A. Neuman

Hi JD,I don't know wether this is just a fluke, but recently I have been getting vectored at the destination airport to the incorrect runways,When I try to get a weather report for the destination airport, it is totally different than what ASE is depicting.I use ASE SP2 and radar Contact via networked Laptop, with wide fS. FSX SP2 on W7 64. FSUIPC ver 465 and USEASE=YES in fsuipc.iniNow this is where it get's interesting, I downloaded http://fsuipc.simfli.../FSUIPC4648.zip and with 648 I did a flight from KORD to KPTA and RC peformed 100%. Accurate weather report for KTPA and landed on correct runway. I did do a "Debug" but the file is about 250meg, so would need to do a…

I know that I have missed it, but I've looked and looked and I can not find it. I have been working off and on for three weeks trying to get this new FDC Live Cotpit set up. There are about 40 different announcements that I want to use. At first I was going to setup every thing manually but then I saw on the "startup" window of FDC were setting where that you could enter the DEPARTURE, BOARDING and 1st ANNOUNCEMENT times....... but HOW and WHERE ??I cannt figgure it out by myself and I can not find the instructions on how to set it up.I'm trying to start cold at the gate in the LVLD-767-300. I'd like to be able to set the boading and departure times, key the call, "att…

My posting and Pete's reply from AVSIM FSUIPC forum:Posted Today, 10:04 PM Zachiii, on 07 January 2011 - 09:28 PM, said:I have had long-time problems with ASE in DWC mode creating the "slows" in RC4.I always assumed this must be due to insufficent power for FSX to update weather second by second, almost, as it needs to for DWC, whilst other programs are also trying to run. However, recent evidence seems to point to some critical timing glitch in RC forcing it to ignore confirmations that the weather is readable.QuoteI have the latest ASE update and FSUIPC update (4648).There is nothing in those to alleviate any delay problems, only to supply correct weather in DWC mode. n…

Hello All -I recently uncovered what most of you discovered regarding the ASE & RC issue of slowness. So I upgraded FSUIPC to 4.60 and the latest of ASE (B642). I'm still experiencing "Slow Response" from RC4. I was confused about the pinned post on the forum regarding this. So I add the lineASEweather=Yes to the general section of the fsuipc4.ini fileWhat other settings does anyone suggest on the ASE portion of it? I didn't change much on ASE, so I'm sure its something I missed there. Thanks,Rob Sciarrino

Hi, I posted this on the FSX forum but thought I should also put it here so maybe JD can suggest a solution to my quest. I am interested in using voice recognition to work the ATC portion of the sim experience. My current setup is as follows:Main PC running FSX onlyLaptop running RC4 over WideFS (The laptop is also running Plan-G over WideFS and ASE over SimConnect, but they are not the subject of this post)Windows 7 on both machinesI fly with the main speakers producing the engine noise and I wear headphones connected to the laptop for ATC.Even though RC4 is on the laptop, I still hit the keyboard numbers to control RC4. This works quite well for me because unloading the …

Hi John. I hope you don't mind me suggest a push to talk implementation to make RC better for us speech recognition users.I use MCE and it's very annoying when some other pilots get in the frequency while I'm reading back my clearance or something. It would simply consist in a button or key stroke that would keep other pilots from contacting ATC and also ATC from asking us to readback until the button is released.Just an ideaThanks

How do I find a callsign in RC if the airline isn't listed? For example, I hear my AI traffic using HANSALINE in RC4 properly. However, when I look on the menu, Lufthansa Cityline isn't on the list. The callsign is in there somewhere, as I hear the AI correctly use it, but I can't find it to select for myself. The same applies for CACTUS, the US Airways callsign.how do I select these or know which airline to look under?thanks
