Is there a way to turn down the chatter volume? It seems a lot louder than anything else, when it should be more of a background ambient noise.

I hope its not to late to implement this into version 5 and if its not I hope you will, anyways I love RC4 and I love Vatsim, so I and many others use RC4 with Vatsim, its great, because alot of the time when I fly or where I fly to has no ATC coverage. But I still like doing my flights online, seeing other people etc etc, anyways I run fsinn and RC4 on a client PC, both come through my headset, all I want is the option to Mute Radar Contact, sometimes on departure a tower or ground might come on then of course you have to follow there instructions, its kinda hard to do when you have 2 controllers going at the same time, in most cases I have to shut down RC4. Which sucks …

I have a question..... I went into AFCAD and at IHA i made 15L/15R departing only. 26R/26L/27 landing only. I run makerwys after the change. When I got my ATIS info it gave me the right departing runway of 15L. But when I came back it gave me arrival 15R. There was no AI around because i flew in the Vatsim network. Does RC see these runways as departing and arriving or is there something else I can do to make it more realistic?

Hi guys,I just installed the version 4.3 for FSX and it seems I messed it up. During the installation I didn't realised that I installed the program on C: but I have installed the game in D:So I found a modules folder in C: which I copied it's content to the modules in FSX (not FSUPic file because I have a newer version already installed). When the program asks me to find the files and to start searching for Airports/Runways everything is fine, I told the program the route where my FSX is in my case D:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X and everything went well.Once in the gate, (with the flight plan loaded and started in RC, and also in FSX) I can see the dialo…

I have just tried out the three voice recognition systems I know of ("VoxATC", "It's Your Plane" and "Multi Crew Experience") and am very frustrated with what I have seen. VoxATC is very buggy and the other two doesn't offer an ATC experience beyond what FSX can offer by default. Also, even if VoxATC had worked (I couldn't complete a single flight during the trial), it would still be a bore compared to RC because of it's lack of diversity in voices: There's just five synthetic voices (male/female controller, male/female AI pilots and a second officer). I have reinstalled FSX, RC4 and ASE (Active Sky Evolution)RC4 works fine, but with ASE I have a problem.I must use ASE with DWC (Direct Wind Control) to get ASE to control FSX weather.When DWC is used RC4 operates normally until approach contol.With approach control RC4 operates very slowly including landing before clearance to land.Any ideas on how to correct this problem?Thanks,zach

Hi to everyone.I enjoy using the magnificent FlyTampa scenery for Hong Kong, which as you know includes old VHHX airport.But whenever I fly there for some reasons (weather etc.) Radar Contact vectores AI airplanes (ultimate traffic 2) on runway 31, while I always fly the approach on runway 13.Of course I cannot keep landing against AI planes, so I'm asking you: is it possible to disable permanently runway 31, so every AI airplane will land on runway 13 (regardless of winds)?Note that I already tried to configure weather to allow landings on runway 13, but it didn't work. Just cramming through my PPL material, and it came to my mind that have you guys considered, for v5 (if not, then for 6) implementing SVFR? Good Day Folks,Looking at buying RC again after several years hiatus. I'm now running on a Windows 7-64 bit machine and want to confirm that RC (latest) works under that OS. I tried doing a search for this first, but the Avsim search engine doesn't like a single character in the search field so I have to make a direct post here. When i click on 'Rebuild Scenery DB' i get a runtime error 75 path/file access error. Any ideas? I use windows 7 & fs2004

Just a quick question here that I've not found an answer to in the manual yet. When updating the scenery database, does RC see scenery added in a separate folder (I keep my addon's in FSX>X_AddonScenery)? If not, is there a way to point RC to it?Secondly (assuming "yes" to the previous question), does a sceenry have to actually be ticked as active in FSX if it is to be read by RC (i.e. if the folder is listed in the FSX Scenery database within FSX, but not selected as active)?Thank you much for your help.Glenn

The first question deals with the present version of RC. One of the key commands is to display the RC window (default "`") which using FSUIPC I have mapped to a joystick button. So when not using the RC menu I click the "x" in the corner to hide the window and press "`" or the joystick button to bring it back up when it's needed. However, frequently the menu comes up by itself even if no dialog is going on. It seems that there is an in-built function to display the window periodically or refresh it, possibly when some of the information displayed on it (such as your distance to the next waypoint) is being updated. Hi,I reinstalled and registered RC 4.0 from CD before I remembered there was a updated version.When I try to install 4.3 it first asks a couple of times for the FS9 registry, key, fair enough, but after that it says : "error reading jdtllc.url, the source file is corrupted" , retry doesn't work, when I ignore it just says the same about the next file.I installed with admin privileges under Win 7 ultimate 64please adviseregardsMartin

Hi, first post from me.I have suffered from severe frame rate drop and stuttering since installing the update.I found that by reducing the quality of clouds in AV6 helped a bit.Using FStrees from avsim helped by reducing tree sizes and hence cpu workload.The main problem is the ANTIVIRUS program you may be using.To check quickly, disable your antivirus program and try the sim.beware, you may need to detach from the internet if you have security concerns.I found that the antivirus program is scanning the wavs and rcv4 in general when the files are being put together for speech.This greatly slows down the process, and slows the cpu cycles down to a rate that affects the vid…

I have been using RC for a while now, but I have just started flying with other traffic.Last night's flight into Inverness, approach as normal, cleared to land and see the AI pull onto the runway immeadiately as I was landing and then take off over my head whilst I was still on the runway. I was under the impression that the AI should have been held back ?? Is there any way of stopping this ??G

I have been running Radar Contact for many months without problem but today, for some reason, things have turned sideways for me. When I launch radar contact (from a networked machine) and the menu opens up in FSX I can no longer select any of the menu options. When I select an option (using default selection keys 1, 2, etc) the menu flashes but nothing happens. If I allow the co-pilot to take control (CTRL+K) things work fine as he makes the necessary calls and everything works fine. This tells me that Radar Contact is working alright in the sense that connectivity is established and ATC is responding to the co-pilots commands. I changed the default key commands to …

Hi,I've got RCv4 up and running (it works fine) but I can still hear the default FSX ATC chatter in the background. I guess the default ATC is still picking up the tuned-in frequencies from RC and registering some of the button pushes (1-9 etc). The default ATC window also pops up from time to time when the ATC gives me an instruction that Ineed to acknowledge.Is there some way to disable default ATC? Thanks

Our ATC controllers often like to suggest visual approaches to IFR pilots on approach to reduce workload in good wx and light traffic. So why not add something like this. In good visibilities and ceilings with light traffic, there would be a preset chance that the approach controller would ask if you have the field in sight and would like a visual approach. I know you can request one now but it would be realistic to have the controller speak up about it now and then.

Decided to get RC4 and the PMDG 737 and they have been playing nice so far but the last two flights at the waypoint set Aprox. 40 mile out on the SID but wont register that I crossed it tough I did cross it and actually 2 waypoints down the road. Its really starting to get annoying having to turn around to recross a waypoint that is now 50 miles away.
