Hi,Probably a stupid question, but still... :) What's the correct reaction to traffic advisories? For example, there's an AI plane on the reciprocal course, RC issues an advisory when it's 13-15 nm away from me, I check my TCAS and see that a risk of collision is present. What should I do next? Request higher/lower from RC, climb/descend to avoid a collision without telling RC, turn left/right to avoid collision? If I should request higher/lower, what should I do if RC denies the request? It will probably clear us in 2 minutes, but when there are 13 nm between the planes, we can't wait 2 minutes :)ThanksYuri

I had this problem before and joined a thread about it where I learned that it was a key conflict with the FT Embraer.However - even after changing the RC key-combo I still couldnt get it to work with that plane.Now I am driving the MD11 and have removed all possible keyboard command conflicts s from FS9 and the aircraft menu, and, no matter what keys I introduce into RC (and reload FS), I cant get it to work.I have tried Ctrl-Sh + something, Cntl + something, etc etc and nothing works. Believing I had it sorted I prepped KJFK-LSGG only to have to insert another new key combo into RC and restart FS - and I am still without the lovely Otto. And there

Having problems getting this to work. I am above average in computer skills and built my machine I run FSX Accelrator on (Vista 64bit, I7 920, GeForce 275GTX, Fatality 1 X-FI sound card, 6gb Gskill DDR3). The only add-on I have are both by Flight 1 (Citation Mustang and FSS). I have tried to get this to run on default aircraft that do not use FSS. My problem is no sound. I finally got the sound to work in the menu to hear my call sign only by running RC in administrator mode. I have checked the box to auto-tune the freq on contact but still no sound in the Sim. On a flight from Newcastle (EGNT) to Oslo airport (ENGM) I was assigned rwy 19R and given a 4000 ft altitude. I noted on the GPS that as I approached the end of the feathers for rwy 01R my rwy assignment suddenly changed to 01R. At that point I was too high for the distance from the rwy so I turned onto the 01R rwy heading and declared a missed approach. Aside from the fact that the vectoring seemed rather wrong would it have made more sense to request my origianal 19R assignment. I do not recall whether I had a menu item to make a rwy request. runways are off by a lot with the fmc on the pmdg planes, like im headed right for runway 8, but the fmc shows it far to the right, like i should be landing on runway 7 or something. this is at all airports. thanksjames

Does anyone know where to obtain Super Flight Planner version 4? AVSIM is out of business temporarily. I have heard that it is available on FlightSim, but I can't find it there. I found version 3 but this version does not seem to recognize FSX when you try to run it.Bob P

When I run RC4 in my own account, which is an Administrator account, it seems to work ok for a while but then goes away with error 75 sometime during a flight. Had this problem before and as advised reinstalled outside the Program Files directory. When I choose Run As Administrator the application comes up and I can load a plan but as soon as I click on the Start RC button I receive the message "IPC Request Contains Bad Data".

I'm thinking about adding RC to FS9 and have a couple of questions about how it handles SIDs and STARs.I'm trying to figure out how and if RC "thinks". - How does RC "read" or know about a STAR? Does it read NavData or something? I understand it might need to be in my flightplan, but does RC need ALL waypoints, or just the name of the arrival like in a real flightplan? Will it understand something like "KSUS PLESS1.BNA.ERLIN5 KATL" ??What about Crossing restrictions and airspeeds?- How does RC handle the vectoring between the last waypoint of a Arrival and the first waypoint of a IAP? Also, How does it know which IAP I am flying flying? RNAV, ILS, VOR, etc? For example…

After RC4 crashes, I have to close and restart it. Is there a way to make RC4 to resume the Flight at the point where my AC is instead of forcing me back to the begining of my flight???

After I enter my registration key in the provided space, Radar Contact crashes on me. I have seen that other people have had this issue. What can I do to correct this?Thanks,Steve Couch

After upgrading to Win7 x64, the RC4 menu intermittently appears in the upper left corner of screen and is unmovable. Also evrn though I have "Ctl-Shft-0" checked in the options menu, the command isn't recognized by RC. Pulling my hair out trying to figure out whats causing the problem. I always right click RC exe and select run as administrator. Still no love.Bill M

HIFor some unknown reason everytime I load a flight plan in RC4 and then click the button to run RC4 my aircraft suddenly loses the landing gear and crashes on its belly and also moves to a different spot at the airport. I have MY Traffic installed which includes several bgls for many airports in a scenery file that is selected in FSX. Could it be that when I hit the Rebuild scenery DB it did not pick up these airport bgls in the MYtraffic scenery file which is now causing RC4 to crash my aircraft.Don

Hi there. I have a curious problem when loading saved flights. For most payware a/c, when I save a flight and reload it, I can only use the virtual cockpit, because the 2D cockpit doesn't show up. If I press F10 or any keys to go the 2D cockpit, the 2D cockpit is not visible. What I get is half the screen is the scenery and half the screen is black (where the cockpit should be.) I don't mind using the VC, since it's mostly what I use, but for some functions, I do use the 2D cockpit. I searched the forum and could not find anything like this issue I'm having. Would it be possible, for V5, to add more realistic phraseology for IAP approaches, since you seem to be able to extract data from the BGLs now? After selecting the option to fly the plate, the user would be presented with the list of feeder routes, just like in default ATC. The user picks one and is told, for example, to proceed direct the IAF, and all the while given descent instructions as necessary. I believe this topic may well have been covered elsewhere, however I am very confused and hugely frustrated and therefore felt it necessary to start a new thread.Whenever I get to the active runway the plane in front just gets stuck and doesn't move. Planes behind me disappear because of inactivity. Until I get to the active runway myself all traffic flows well but when i get close the plane due to take off next just gets stuck and sits half over the taxiway and half over the runway.This is not an AFCAD problem as it is happening at all airports even from different companys etc.I anticipate that you will tell me to rebuild the scenery database etc however i have done this…

I sometimes get a little irritated by RC ATC when it keeps giving me traffic advisories for traffic that is one or two flight levels above or below me. Do I really need to know this? Does this happen in real life or is it just an RC thing?Iain Smith
