Hi everybodyI've been using RC4 with FS9 for a couple of years now, and have just made the proverbial leap to FSX. Can I use the same install of RC4 (ala ASV6.5) for both FS9 and FSX, or will FSX need it's own install? Do I need to remove the existing RC4 install and reinstall it (I read somewhere on this forum that it'll then give you the option of installing for both; don't really want to lose FS9 RC for a couple of days, but if I have to...)?BTW, mine's the CD version,, and I believe it needs a patch to make it FSX-compatible. Hi, there is a problem with runway assignment in LIPZ - Venice. The correct runway for TO and landing is normally the 04R, but RC gives me 04L anytimes, why?The 04L is normally used as partial taxyway, and sometime (work in progress or other matter) for TO and landing. Is there any problem with RC database?I use AS6.5 for the weather.

Just got everything running again after a year or so and the last progam is RC.for some reason I get together with the AdvDisplay window (blank) a transparent window when starting RC. Not bad really, I like it.But clicking the relevant numbers won't activate anything.I cannot move the text to the empty AdvDisplay window, I am Stuck.I run the FS2004 for the first time on a XP 64bit O.S. Up till now everything else I installed worked fine.Any Ideas? Thank you.

When I start FS2004 than start rc4 everything is fine, but when I click in the atc window of rc4 nothing works and it brings me this error, does anybody know why?

Hello to the RC team.I have just purchased the product (SWREG ORDER NUMBER: U741350401).I am using FS 2004 and Active Sky Advanced with the latest FSUIPC.When I go to LGAV airport (Athens,Greece) and get the ATIS I do not get the LGAV weather but the LGAT weather.The problem is that FS 2004 does not have a registered LGAV weather station and that is the issue.Is there a way to fix that? RC gets the weather from ASA directly or from FSUIPC? I think that it takes the weather from FSUIPC as WeatherSet2 reports the same weather with RC.Is there a way for RC to get the weather directly from ASA in order to have the accurate LGAV weather?THanks in advanceApostolos

Hi everyone,I have noticed that there is a LAG or DELAYED response upon accessing RC menus. The PIC responding to the ATC and the other way around has obvious delays. Is there something I can do to fix this?

I had to reinstall Radar Contact, after my computer crashed.I notice that periodically I do not get verbage from either the Air Traffic controller or the pilot.Unsure if I am missing some wave files.The version I have is in the above header.Any assistance appreciated.Kenny G.

When I opened RC4 today I got the below screens (before and after opening RC4 shown). I re-installed RC and got exactly the same effects. The airport I am trying to fly out of (WARR Juanda Indonesia) is not listed in the controller info screen (no radio frequencies, etc). If I load a flight that does show up in the controller info screen with data, all is well. Do I simply need to write my flight plan departing from WARR beginning with the first VOR (or other type waypoint)? I really don't believe there is a problem with either FSX or RC4 since things look normal when flying from fully recognized airports.

I have been thinking about getting RC for some time now and have a few questions. 1) After I download it is it true that I wont be able to use it untill I get a key of some sort from RC? If so how long does that take and why is it not included when the product is purchased?2) What is the number 1 thing you like about RC?3) What is the number 1 thing you dis-like about RC?4) Having the need for a 200+ page manual for a ATC add-on kind of scares me especially when comming from default FSX ATC where all you do more or less is follow its instructions. Any help or guidance on installing RC4 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit?The install works fine from the disk. When started, the application fails with an error msinet.ocx is not registered or installed correctly. I've installed Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime SP6, but that doesn't help. Registering the only copy of msinet.ocx with regsvr32 fails as well.RC4 is the best addon I have, and I really don't want to use FSX without it...

Can someone explain the (.FLT/.WX Path =) option in RC 4.3? I have FSX on a separate drive from my OS and I searched for .FLT and .WX files and see that there are a few places they live, I find some on the OS drive as well as my FSX drive and am confused to where I link this to and what exactly does it do. THe manual does not have any mention of it.Thanks, Jim

New to RC as of a few hours ago and I am having a departure runway problem. Scenerio is as follows. KSAN - RC tells me to taxi to runway 27 wind is 300 @ 4 The UT2 traffic is being told to taxi to runway 9. RC is correct with the runway choice but FSX is telling AI to go to runway 9. I never noticed or really paid any attention. Am I doing something wrong and how do I remedy this possible disasterous situation?

Having a great time now that I've got RC up and running. However, the sound level is giving me a headache. Is there a way to turn the sound down in RC? It's blasting me out of the room.Thanks

I was given FL340 and because I was too heavy still for that I asked for FL300 and was told "I have your request".If he wanted me to go to 340 whats the problem in my going only as far as 300?

Last night I was in the middle of a KIAD to KLGA flight and I followed the manual in saving. The RCD control panel even said SAVING on it, but when I go to load my game and then try to load my RCD file, there is no RCD file. I used the ctrl-shift semicolon way like the manual said.Any ideas where my RCD file is so I don't have to start my flight over?

I just purchased rc4 read the docs. and decided to go fly. I would get my c/d and then used rc4 to switch to ground freq and would get this Run time Error 52.
