I must have missed some obvious step. I filed a genuine Malev flightplan from LRTM to LHBP by downloading from FSBuild to the FS2004 planner. I opened RC 4.3 and loaded this - it showed up as it should. I checked 'No Dep Proc' as there are no published departure procedures from LRTM. I followed ATC instructions and at around 25 nm out he handed me off with 'resume own navigation direct to LHBP'. I did not want to go direct! When I attempted to get onto my flight plan track (by turning left about 60 degrees) ATC came back up, said I was off track and gave me a new heading direct to LHBP. Hi All:I have just made the move to Windows 7 from Windows XP Pro. Love the OS but I am finding out that some software needs some fine tuning. Anyway I put my Radar Contact V4 disk in and the installation went smoothly. After installing I tried to open RC4 by clicking on the "Launch Radar Contact 4.exe icon in order to send my request for a new key and got a error notice saying...."Component 'MSINET.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"Any help you can give in solving my problem would be appreciated.Thanks in advanceRegardsHarry

Is anyone using Radar Contact with the new Voice Commander? I understand that with a headset you can have the FS2Crew audio come thru the headphones and all of the other FSX sounds (engines, cockpit, rain, etc.) come thru the speakers. If you use Radar Contact, does the audio come thru the headset or speakers? It would obviously be more realistic if there was way to get the Radar Contact audio to come thru headset also.

Hi Fellas,I'm planning my first and probably only return virtual flight to New York from Manchester, England. Can anyone advise me of how RC will perfom and is there anything special I have to do? The obvious question in my mind is how to request oceanic clearance, or is it not possible in RCv4.3? Also, I use Flight Sim commander to generate the route and the shortest route appears to be a navaid route of just over 3K., will there be a problem with this kind of route?Any help appreciated.Rory

Hi guysI have been using RC 4 for some time with Wndows XP and love the program. I have just bought a new comuter with Win 7 / ie 8 and would like to reload RC 4 into my system. I see from the forum that they are compatible. How do I get the down load and will the details of the registration I got before still work.I look forward to your comments, flying is not the same without RC 4Dave

Following my query earlier this week about runway selection, before I tried your advice, I decided to bring FSUIPC and my video drivers up to the latest standard. Disaster!What happens now is that the flight starts fine and RC works as normal, but once I reach the end of the runway and get take off clearance, RC will not respond to my key inputs. I have mapped some number keys to my Saitek stick via FSUIPC, and I have already checked that when upgraded the FSUIPC has retained these settings. I also tried keyboard inputs with no luck at all. Any ideas?Chris Hall.

Hi Guys,I have been using Radar Contact for about 3 months now with FS9. I have FSX installed as well, but havnt flown with RC4. Being a beginner I have felt more comfortable using the Display Text with ATC, and this has worked very well for me, until just recently. The last couple of days I have noticed that when I am cleared for Take off, the text display window will have all the correct text in context with the clearance, but the specific data such as the correct climb to altitude and Sqwark codes are now missing. Hello guys.I am finding it very frustrating to have the assigned runways changed both on TO and landing.On TO, I get the weather and runway used and set up the SID for this departure. In about 30% of the cases, the ground controller then gives me another runway.Similarly on approach, at 70 miles or so, I go to weather and get the runway so I can set up a STAR, then again in 75% of the cases the runway is changed, sometimes immediately after the original instruction. Is it it not possible to lock the runway selection?I have also had a couple of recent instances where AI aircraft have taxied into me when I am lined up for takeoff. I saved my flight last night and it created all the files in the C:\Users\Joe\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files directory which is where I have RC configured to point to for both FLT and WX files, etc.The problem is not saving the flight and having the files show up, they are all there. The issue is when I load up FSX and load the flight in FSX first, then start up RC and click Load previously saved RCD, it takes a while to load. Then my FSX reloads by itself to the flight plan, but then I get an error saying "Cannot load <my save name>.FLT"Now apparently both FSX and RC still function, but I'm not sure what this .FLT file is and why its giving me an error.Any id…

The way that I have turned on Radar Contact in the past was to go to window view, turn on RC and then go back to full view. But, now for some reason (not RC related) when I go from window view to full view FSX freezes up and I have to ctrl+alt +delete. Even after reinstalling FSX and everything else it still does it. I have tried various Nvidia drivers but the problem still persists.Is there another way to load RC to a flight into full view mode without having to go to window mode?Please help. Thanks!Mike

JD,Having not flown much in FSX for around a year, due to personnal circumstances, I have recently updated my XP machine to Vista and then subsequently to Windows 7, I still have RC4 installed in an old drive (v.4.3.3843), but when trying to check for updates (as it has been so long since I run RC4) I receive the following error:Run-Time Error '5'RadarContact.rcv4startup.command10.click" Could you advise how best I might get RC4 running again:a) whether RC4 runs under Windows7?:( do I need to reinstall the whole programme again given that I may have an older version? I cant fly without it now its going to be a great addition to my flight simming. I do keep getting busted though first it was my altitude then I found it was mostly due to not using altimiter propely but I pretty much learned now not so set it untill transition. And today I got lots of paper work to fill in after rolling onto the runway before I was cleared hehe. I was too busy looking at the FMC to notice the parking brake was off and I rolled. I load Window 7 pro 64 bites with my fs9 and I have FSUIPC registered the 3.93. I click on my Radar Contact and it opened version 4.3 on CD. I load my flight no problem but when I press control shift K it says standby forever. Nothing happened. Hello,This is my first message on this forum. I have been using RC for some time and find it a great add on. I have a suggestion. I recently had to change destination during a flight, and I realized that I could not change any of the Controller Information Parameters at the new airport with the exceptions of notams. Will the new version allow a change in Controller Information Parameters when there is a change of either a destination change or an emergency?ThanksMorley

I have a route .pln created by my VA. If I try to load it, I get an error 5 and RC shuts down. If I load the plan into FSX, then save it (making it XML-style), RC will accept it, but doesn't see any waypoints.
