Hi,As I have to move my RC installation from my C drive to another I will have to re-install.I've just requested a new reg-key and also received it. However, I'm uncertain about the present version for FS2004.When checking the version I have now it says 4.3.3845. I have kept a zip file called rcv43 and when extracting this the application file is version 51.46.0.0Is this the application (or zip file) I should use with the re-installation ?regards,Carl

Just flew from Berlin Tegal to London Gatwick, nice flight until..."Speed Bird 196 expect vectors to the Rw 8R" ok, no problem, then "expect vectors to the RW 26 L"..ok change the radio frequencies . Approach is then vectoring AI to Runway 8R ..i am cleared to land 26 L but have to go around because i am facing an AI plane on the runway that has landed 8R After go around Cleared to land on 8R and then guess what...face to face with a plane on the runway that had landed 26 L..had to go around again.. vectored to 8 R and landed ok. Any ideas as to what was going on here?

I've just installed RCv4 with no problems, but when I tried to run for the first time I get the following message when I try to load an existing flight plan from FS2004: Run time error '713': Class not registered. You need the following file to be installed on your machine. MSSTD FMT.DLL What have I missed or did the program not install correctly? Any help to get me up and running (flying) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Al Hahn

Whenever I try to load a saved file, Radar Contact reports that it cannot load the saved file. When I click on 'Load Previously Saved .RCD's' I see a progress bar. This seems to start and stick at about 10% for a while. Next it moves up to about 90% and halts. An error dialog tells me the flight cannot be loaded. If Radar Contact is minimized and the flight continued then Radar Contact starts at the correct point in time.This happens every time.I had thought it was caused by my creaking Dell XPS700 running XP but Dell replaced that under warranty with a XPS730 running Vista. I wondered if it might be the Level-D 763 but now I'm flying the RealAir Duke and I'm still seeing…

I have a new computer with Vista 64 and FSX.I want to install RC4.3, but I only have the CD forRC4 and your update link for 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 is not working.There is no update links on the RC4 homepage, so my question is how do I update to use ver. 4.3 to use with FSX?ThanksArnold

Hello, My last 2 flights resulted in runtime error 75, i noticed that it happen right after or because of, trying to pass coms to Otto ?I use Vista 64 and RC in network with WideFS, i run as an administrator, my FLT/wx is well configured...I forgot to take a log... any ideas ?Thanks!Alain from Montreal

When I try to load a saved situation, RC says that it can't load the xxxxx.flt plan for that situation. I'm sure it's there, in the same folder. The files are:EKYT - EKCH RC 03 at TESPI.FLTEKYT - EKCH RC 03 at TESPI.rcdWhat am I doing wrong ?

I was flying LQSA (SARAJEVO) TO LIRA (Rome Ciampino) at about 40m from SPL VOR pointing 232 degrees ATC give me this weird sentence:DO YOU SHOW YOURSELF IN THE AIRWAY? I SHOW YOU DRIFTING OFF COURS. FLIGHT HEADING 095 UNTIL RECIVE SUITABLE FOR NAVIGATION. So he ask me to turn back to my flight direction. I am not english but I think he saw me take a wrong direction and told me to fly back from my flight plan.The strange thing is that I was flying a correct path using GPS autopilot. So what wrong in my navigation?My plan was LQSA - KG (ndb) - norpi (fix) - BOSNA (fix) - SPL (vor) - PES (vor) LIRA.Thanks in advance for any explanation.

All of a sudden RC4 stop recogning and reading my airports. I ran the scenery rebuild twice. When I start RC at airport AP info is blank. Plaease help.Bill M

I have been using RC on FSX for a few months now and I am quite pleased with the software except for a problem which I am sure must have an easy solution but so far I have not been able to find it: All the default key functions work well except for "Save RC/FS State". I guess when I press the keys mentioned, the FS menu for saving flights should open. Well, in my case it does not, RC does not respond and the plane keeps on flying. If I use the FS menu or keyboard to save my RC flights, I get 4 files: .WX, .FLT, .FSSAVE and .FMC, but no RCD file at all. I have tryed first removing a default key in my LVLD 767 that was in conflict with CS+;, changed the default key first to…

Recently purchased rc4...Problem is my wife is threatning to leave me if I dont cut down the huge amount of time I spen on fs9 since installing rc4....Please advise.... :(

I've used RC without issues going from controlled airport to controlled airport. If I start from an uncontrolled airport, and I call FSS clearance, he tells me to stand-by while he contacts center and then I get this error: Run Time Error 9 - RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code. Any ideas?

I have 5.1 surround speakers,RC comes through the center speaker,Question is can RC be set Somehow to come via the front speakers??Why you ask??Until i can get a new usb only headset i swap the 5.1 speaker front plug for my headsets speaker jack so i canhave all sound come via speakers or headset. (my headset audiofx-1.usb 1xmic 1xsound plugs)This works fine online ivao and on Teamspeak,just wondered if i could temp sort on rc before investing in usb only headset.I used to plug headset into front ports on pc but got the wire caught the other day and broke the speaker jack plug in the case :( So only place now is on motherboard asus m3n72-dNo probs with Radar Contact brill…

Today I fired up FSX to take a run from Omaha to Newark. I got the following error message from RCv4: "Run-time error '6': RadarContact.rcv4module.get_departure_information."Background: I've been working very hard on a FSX AFCAD for Omaha (KOMA). It is interesting in that they have closed the main runway (14R-32L) after lengthening 14L-32R and adding ILS to 14L. I've captured all of that in my AFCAD and I thought it was working properly but RC would not give me the proper ILS frequency for 14L on arrival although it was there in the Sim. Hi Guys ,I am reposting this under a new heading in case some of you missed it .Some of the version 2 files are available on Avsim.I have downloaded them and put them to use as is appropriate and they do work well.These files do not need to be un zipped ,just open them and copy them as required into Winwood folder .Do remove the original files and keep them safe in case of problemsNorman Bowman

Hi,I run RC4.3 on FS9 with FSUIPC. Now and then I get, while flying the PMDG MD-11, a pop-up (FS9 default flying tip) that I've a incorrect altimeter set.Flying tips however is not enabled. Furthermore I thought (but correct me if I'm wrong) that with RC4, RC would monitor the altimeter setting...or not?Any thoughts how I can 'kill' that particular flying tip? It's bugging me until I pass >FL180.

I have RC4 , ASA B433 and FSUIPC 4.50 unregistered running on my computer. OS is Vista 64bit. Most of the time RC gives me the wrong QNH at the departure airport when Wx briefing. Pressing B in FSX gives me the right QNH according ASA.Default weather settings in FSUIPC is already done. John, I just happened to notice the link to your blog about your adventures in the development of RCv5.0. I've posted a link at our VA. Interesting stuff.

I have a suggestion about ATIS in v5. I am not sure if this will be implemented but is it possible to get the ATIS to work much further out from the arrival airport than it does at present. It would be good if you could get the runway in use via ATIS well before the TOD point so that a propper STAR can be put into the FMC with the correct runway selected, rather than having to guess the runway.It all looks good and I can't wait.Andy S

I must be getting old - it's hard for me to read the RC atc window information in FSX. I've tried both red and white text, but I need a larger font. Is there any way to specify the text size in FSUIPC? (I have the registered version). I'm using the monitor native resolution (1400 x 1050) for both FS and the desktop.Any help would be most appreciated,Dale
