Hi folks, just purchased the CDs this morning and should be have them in a couple of weeks. I went the CD way because at the moment for about 6 months i am without internet at home. So hopefully this will do the trick for me until i get back online.Having just returned to the sim after a couple years away and just started to rebuild everything once more since i previously had FS9 and did not initialy like FSX i was looking for something better than A1. helloi was wondering: is there any way that radar contact ATC and the flight plan in the FMS will go toghether. for exemple: if there is an option that the ATC will tell me to start decending in proximity to the FMS/ND's "top of decent" (t/d)? in some addons, like LDS 767, it is a problem to start decending before t/d if youre flight auto.thank you.

I currently use FS9 and RC4.3. If I add FSX to my machine can I use RC with either or is this not possible?Iain Smith

I know I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but I just had to reformat and I lost RC in the process. JD gave me a new download link and registration key, but now I'm having the comdlg32.ocx is not properly registered issue. I've searched the forums, but I can't find witch step im missing.1. Uninstalled RC42. Downloaded comdlg32.ocx and copied it into the windows/system32 directory. (I use vista 64)3. Registered the file using the regsvr32 command in dos mode. (I got the message saying that it was properly registered.)4. Reinstalled RC4 and attemped to open the Launch RCv4.3 shortcut.Ive tried this over and over again and I still get the comdlg32.ocx error every time. I…

hallo,my system is VISTA 32 basic_home and i have the problem that RC4 doesn't shutdown when i closed the session. now i have found a solution:before you shutdown the RC4 you don't kill the FS_9. ( OH my english ). if you shutdown the FS9 before you closed RC4 ,you have the problem too.my question : i use MakeRwys version: 4.3.4.0i have a new scenery install. I have recently upgraded from ASX to ASA and noticed some incorrect info being passed through ATIS. 1. When on the ground the ATIS weather briefing is accurate and matches what ASA indicated was the current weather at my departure location.2. When getting the arrival weather briefing 50 miles out from landing the report is bizarre -23 C and 26 knot winds (however the aircraft instruments are not showing incorrect temps) yet when tower clears me to land 5 miles out, the windspeed and direction is once again accurate. I was hoping someone might have some ideas on what might be going on here. Where does RC receive its weather info from?ThanksBrent

I've seen on several websites saying that there's a program that allows you to click on buttons instead of pressing the keystrokes. I mean there are a million other things going on in the cockpit. I saw the rccp31.zip file and I suspect that it is for FS2002 only, is that true? I have FS2004.Radar contact is a great program by the way!!Thanks,Terry-

I've used RC for a couple of times now and it still keeps amazing me how different flying with this add-on is But it could use some enhancement in terms of ground operations. After two hours long flight I ended up in a crash with other AI plane on a taxi way appearing out of nowhere... :( David

I've been using Radar Contact since August 2008, and I've never had any problems with it until today.I was on a flight from KATL to EDDL with the PMDG 744.Somewhere near New York, I transferred the comms to Otto (only the comms, not the controls). I went downstairs for a cup of coffee. And after returning on the flightdeck, I wanted to take back the comms from Otto with the keypress Ctrl+Shift+K. Unfortunately nothing was happening. The only keypress that worked was the key for displaying and dismissing the Radar Contact menu. Also no word from Otto or the controllers during the rest of the flight.So I finished the flight without ATC. After the flight I minimised FS2004, …

Am completely hooked on RC 4.3 and am considering UT II, which was released today. Will the RC ATC interact with the AI aircraft of UT II? I ask because UT II isn't reliant on traffic.bgl files but instead uses its own system to produce and control AI flights (using FS9 and FSX-format flight plans!). Thanks!

Last night I made my second attempt to fly from Shanghai to Seoul (RKSI). During my first try I've been asked for a go-around twice. The runway was clear, visibility good, no excessive winds, etc. So I decided to terminate RC at that point cause I didn't want to spend my night going around again and again (BTW: JD, I owe you a big SORRY for my last post related to ground operations - yesterday I realized that those two G/As made me exit RC to land immediately and thus colliding with another AI aircraft as there's been no means to warn me...). Hello all, i recently bought RC 4 but i'm having problems: the interface is very slow, when i press the key to acknowlege/ask something there is a huge lag (about 30 seconds) before i hear my pilot speaking and then the ATC response comes after another 30 seconds. Last night during an approach i got a "clear to land" 10 seconds after touchdown! the RC windows sometime says STANDBY.. and stays there for 1 minute or more. Also menu changing (es. 9 for the next page or 0 for main) is responding after 30 seconds.I currently use ASA and Ultimate Traffic 2 but i got this issues also without loading ASA and with only 2-3 AI aircrafts around me. Every flight around 100nm from my destination airport I'm told to descend to a FL around 100 and I'm told to be at that level within 30nm from the airport. I'm just wondering if real ATC always issue this "be at FL ___ within 30nm from airport" or if this is just unique to Radar Contact.Thanks, Chris

I am running Windows 7 RC on a Quad Core AMD Phenom with 4 gigs of ram. I have never had any issues before with RC4.I do not hear any controller voices, I hit 1 to request clearance and nothing.I think I hear some faint muffled scrambled type of voice/sound but I cannot tell if it is RC4 or not. I cannot get any voices. I did get all aircraft noise so it is kind of strange.Any help would be appreciated!

Greetings mates,I have Radar Contact (obviously... haha) and FSPassengers. I want to try out RC because it gives me the function to declare emergencies and more realistic ATC experience. However when I am using both at the same time, I cannot use the 1, 2, 3, 4, etc keys on top of the QWERTY row to set autopilot functions. Is there a workaround of any sort?Any help appreciated.Terry-

Hey folks, Just installed RCv4, using FSX on Vista home premium sp2. First, I downloaded and installed FSUIPC4 and AdvDisp, placed both in modules folder as required. FSUIPC shows up in the Addons part of the taskbar in FSX, but AdvDisp has no section. When I click the "run" button in RC, I get a runtime 9 error: " Radarcontact.rcv4module.initialize". Is there something I am doing wrong? Since it will probably be asked, I am using the default FS flight planer. Tried different routes but same result.

As in FS9 Atc will tell say taxi to rwy (16L 16R 16C is applicable do Radar contact do the same?

Could I ask those responsible for recording the voices for v5 to try and get the words and phrases sounding brisk and realistically clipped? I say this because in v4 there are one or two pedestrian sounding voices which say things one (pause) word (pause) at (pause) a (pause) time. This not only doesn't sound very realistic but takes up time. I appreciate that all those providing the voices are doing it voluntarily and we users are grateful for that but a quality product deserves quality in every area. :( Iain Smith
