I am now running FSX under Windows 7. I use Live cockpit and RC4 together.Under XP, I had no problems but now if I change FSX parameters during flight (e.g. change to real weather or increase scenery settings) RC4 becomes very sluggish on return to FSX and there is a delay of 30 secs or more in initiating a call and another 30 secs in getting a reply. (The same happens sometimes to Live cockpit as well).I know the answer is not to change anything during flight but wondered why this is happening and what can be done to correct it

Wondering... since you are able to move ai acft, do you make us of high speed exit ramps at the more busy airports?Bill

hi folks,I've added a new facility to the MakeRunways program. This is to produce an optional file listing all the Gates for a specific airline. To obtain this for your preferred airline, run MakeRwys.exe with a command line parameter such as (e.g.) /BAWfor the airline code BAW (British Airways). The gates are listed in sorted order of Airport, but not of Gate name or number -- the Gates are in their scenery file order. Hi JD,I'd very much like RC to have a selector for the sound device to be used for its wave files, which selection is then saved in its parameters file. This will enable the ATC sound to be directed to a headset whilst still having other stuff elsewhere. I know that you might say the separate selection for 'voice' in Windows should do this, but even if it did (and in my case it doesn't), there are other programs like IYP (Its Your Plane) which simulate the co-pilot and therefore have sounds which need to arrive on second speakers.Currently, with RCV4 and IYP I have everything else loaded up first and so their sounds, including IYP, are on my overhead speakers, then, befo…

What is the best way to use radar contact and a plane with a good fmc, eg PMDG. The FMC calculates a good path of desent, but it's different from the instructions gives by radar contact. So VNAV is a problem? Same issue with sids and stars. Can it be used together?Martin

Just a quick question, when you export a flight plan using vroute to FSX it does not have IFR or VFR in front of it like it does when you make a flight plan in FSX. There is no way to choose in vroute a far as I can tell. So can you tell me if RC sees those plans as IFR only. Thanks Perry.

Hi Guys - I have RC (latest version) installed into FSX, and activated. I would like now to install FS2004 for old times sake, and a flight down memory lane!Can i modify the RC installation to include FS2004, or will i have to do a clean RC install and wait for a activation email again?Thanks!

Reinstalled RC4.3 on my Windows Home XP SP3 PC, FSX is on a network PC with XP Home SP3 as well. The generated Product Key is: -1999317625 I sent that number and my name, Randy Jura into the automated system, three times actually and got back the same key each time, but it doesn't work. When I restart RC4, it comes up unregistered. I did one uninstall and reinstall just make sure and all the numbers come up the same, the key sent to me doesn't work/register my copy. Ran registry scan on my system and fixed errors.....reloaded flight plan still no luck.......Ran debug see attached....any ideas why this would happen all the sudden when I have never had such a problem.........and any ideas on how to prevent it in the future? Is RC compatible with World of AI. I have interact with AI checked, and have rebuilt scenery database several times but still get told to line up and wait when aircraft are landing on the same runway. Also, tonight i was landing in Venice 4R and just before touchdown a plane came trundling onto the same runway despite my being cleared to land, and forcing a go around. Anyone using World of AI and RC without problems? Thank you.

Last night I wa cleared to land on Rwy 27 at IAH. As soon as I touched down I was ordered to Go Around because a plane was taxing off the runway form the oposite direction. Nevertheless I had my license pulled by FISDO. This was strange behavior.

Hello :( I hope you will understand my english, it's difficult to explain the problem :( Often (not every time), there is a latency, many seconds, between pressing a button and the action. For example, when ATC say to contact a control, I press the "7" key. Then, there are many second before the action is performed by the program. Nothing happens and ATC continues to repeat his statement ( "Say again ...). This problem can to be especially troublesome in final approach when I must to contact tower (if the respons come after landing :( )Do you know this problem ?

One thing that I hope will be better in v5 is the way RC is most reluctant to close down after FS (9 or X) has closed. Yes I realise that the best way would be to call up the RC UI and press "quit" before closing FS but I don't always think that clearly late at night! :( Once FS has gone RC is still showing in the bottom bar but clicking on it does not bring up the UI. If you right click and select "close" it doesn't respond to the "end now" button on the pop-up. Eventually it closes but it can take a couple of minutes.A relatively minor thing I know but it would be nice if it was fixed in v5.Iain Smith

I now run FS9 and FSX on a separate computer than FS using WideFS for FS9. When installing RC 4.3 we end up having two instances of RC, rcv4 (FS9) and rcv4x (FSX). Since I only have WideFS for FS9 I would like to have rcv4 on my client machine running WideFS under Win XP and rcv4x on my FS machine running FSX and Win 7. Can I do this?

Hi,I have a problem that might be related to Radar Contact or FSUIPC, but I am not completely sure.I installed FDC Live Cockpit V3.90 lately.Installation went fine so far. FDC tried to install an old version of FSUIPC, but discovered the newer one (4.5.3.0) on my PC, so it didn't.The next thing I get during installation (FSUIPC4 Installer for FSX) is a warning window saying: Problem! My signature check fails on the installed FSUIPC4.DLL. Please check that I am not listed as an untrusted publisher in Internet Explorer. Then I have to reconfirm my registration numbers and FDC is properly installed.Now, FDC Live cockpit runs without problems but one: The checklists take ages…

Hello,I'm flying KLAX-KLAS on the LevelD 767 (FSX) with the LAXX3 DepProc. (KLAX.SLI.SEBBY.DAG...) and RC 4.3, no other add-ons.For some reason, even if I follow very closely the flight plan (with Autopilot and the FMC path clearly displaying everything is OK), the first waypoints SLI and SEBBY just dont register. For RC5 is it possible to simulate crossing restrictions on arrivals? For example, I was flying into SFO and on the GOLDN5 there is a restriction at LOZIT 250 knots and 11000. RC4 descended me too low too early. Would it be possible in future versions for this feature?

Been thinking for a while about getting RC. Now i wish i got it sooner!!! Brings a whole new dimension to FSX. Read the manual, and followed the tutorial. Got a flight in the PMDG 747 right first time!!!Couple of questions, tho: Sometimes when i have to read back an instruction, the box takes over 30-40 seconds to switch to confirm. By which time iv been issued another instruction! :)Also, i need to be able to read the instuctions as they come through, but the green band of text is sometimes a little slow also. I have been using RC with FSX for some time now with no issues. But now for some reason when using RC the sim completely freezes when I want to change from window view to full view. When in window view after the flight is completely loaded, I turn on RC which places the RC window (using FSUIPC's) onto the screen. I then go to FSX menu/views/ full screen. When I try to go to full screen the sim freezes up and I have to ctrl-alt-delete. This does not happen when RC is not turned on. I had done this countless times in the past with no problem. Now all of a sudden it started doing this.Any suggestions?Mike

Hi,I'm using FSX, REX2.0 and RC. I've noticed that AI is cleared to land on the opposite side of the runway I am cleared to land by RC. In FS9 I've used (sometimes) the option in Active Sky to force AI to recognize the current wind direction and so on. I am using the latest FSUIPC. Any ideas?

I fly in and out of ORD a lot in real life and in the sim. I was wondering why is RC giving out vectors that bring me within 6-7 (sometimes less) miles of airport proximity at 7000ft before it asks to usually descend to 4000 and change heading depending on the assigned runway? I've noticed this on several approaches to different airports too. For example, on the short KSTL-KORD flight, I'm cleared to runway 28 (old 27L) at ORD by approach, RC asks to descend to seven thousand, so I'm at the FL7000 for a few minutes and all of a sudden I find myself almost over runway 4R before I'm asked to FL4000 and heading 090, after that the vectoring is pretty much spot on, other than…
