Hello. I don't know why, but Radar Contact is crashing about halfway through my flights.

Using P3D V4.5, windows 7 64bit. This has only started recently, no changes to system ornew addons/tools installed. Wx brf voice message reports visibility zero, temperature zero, dewpoint zero, QNH 0000. Default P3D ATIS information reports sensible values (ISA conditions for the default flight). This is independent of the aircraft selected or particular airport. Choosing a weather theme or external weather from Active Sky does not affect this behaviour. This does not happen though to FSX-SE which I have installed in the same system. I have reinstalled radar contact, FSUIPC, Active Sky and Simconnect, now running out of ideas. I'm planning to purchase the QW 787. Wanted to check how the jump to feature works with radar contact? Can one continue a flight with RC after using this function by just using the direct to request? Thanks!

Good Morning, I fly weekly for work. Is there a way to speed up the Taxi into position and hold sequence when the departure in front of you starts it’s takeoff roll? Currently ATC has me holding on the taxi way until the previous departure is gear up before entering runway. In all of my travels in real world, we would enter the runway when the previous departure was halfway thru it’s takeoff roll. Once previous departure was airborne and proper separation, we would be cleared for takeoff. Thank you, Jeff

Hi all, Suddenly I have a problem with "Uncontrolled Airports"! (RC4.3). After listening to the option "2-FSS WX", I go for options 4 or 5 ["CLR by FSS" or "CLR in AIR"] ... But nothing happens? Options 4, 5 do NOTHING ! What is going on ? Am I forgetting something ? Greetings, Guus.

Hi, does anyone know why some of my incoming radio transmissions are very quiet? I can only hear them if I alt tab out of the simulator as they happen because the engine noise drowns them out. Other transmissions are fine. Seems to happen every other time. Any ideas? EDIT: I have a feeling it's related to windows 10. It seems like background applications like Radar Contact is, gets a lower volume. Does anyone know how to make background applications of equal volume to the main app? EDIT 2: Disregard, figured it out, just very quiet volume. Everything appears to be working now.

RC isn't reading the new runway configuration, for example I physically taxi to 9R and watching the distance increase in the RC window and by the time I'm there and ready to roll, I'm unable to get the T/O clearance. I've rebuild the db and using the latest version of MakeRwys. Pinging @Ray Proudfoot for some insights on this. 🙂

To anyone that can help, I somehow got RC4 to download on my computer with P3Dv4 (I think still not sure) but I opened up the program and I need a key to use it. I remember seeing something about a key generator in the forums so I downloaded the product and when I tried to run it, it said something like invalid photo? Has anyone run into this issue?

Hi I have read here, in AVSIM, that the radar contact ATC program is compatible with p3dv4. I use aerosors database to update the navaids, fixes, ILSs, runways. On the other hand, I use real AIP information from differentes countries, (charts). And I've never used radar contact. My doubts: Does radar contact know the different SIDs, STARs, approaches to an airport that appear on the charts? Does radar contact gives me different options of types of approach, do these options match the procedures of the charts? Hello. After hearing a lot of good things about RC I decided to give it a go. To my understanding the program is compatible with P3Dv4. When trying to install the program it is a much different story. The install wizard is trying to find a FSX.exe folder (which I don’t have) so I pointed it to my P3D main folder and it wouldn’t take the bait. So my question is, how do I get this program to work with P3D? Thank you

Hi, On the controller information for takeoff runway, the last digit of the runway # is missing and occurs after ack at the begin of next line. See screenshots. Does anybody has any idea what's wrong? Thanks in advance Ruedi after ack

Hello I am attempting to install and use Radar Contact. As the previous method of obtaining a registration key by email is no longer supported I am trying to use the Encrypt program to generate the registration code. What text do I have to insert in order for the code to be generated? I have tried to insert my name and use the code that appears but when I insert this code Radar Contact does not run and request the same registration program again. Please advise Clive Alexander

I recently had to uninstall and reinstall P3Dv4.4. Part of this was having to reinstall RC. I went ahead and downloaded a fresh download. Also downloaded and installed the latest FSUIPC5 and MakeRunways. Everything seemed to be slow for the first couple of flights, and then I got a Runtime 53 error, which after correcting, speeded everything up until being handed off to Approach. Then I got another window, not a runtime, which after google caused me to reinstall my FSUICP5 and Make Runways files. I still have standbys and delays during the Approach phase although it has improved. I have always hit 4 and requested the whole approach. It's still slow, but this m…

Hello. I'm getting a run time error 76, This is how the flight plan looks when it's imported into rc4. I've tried removing alpha/numeric characters, but no joy. However rc4 does not crash with X-Plane 11.

😄 I have been fighting a intermittent problem with loss of communications. For example, sometimes ATC calls to give me instructions, but I do not hear the audio. Then the copilot may execute the command. Sometimes I hear the ATC instructions, but the copilot does not respond. I have trouble shot this problme for 3 weeks. Good morning, For many years I've used RC4 in FSX successfully with Just Flight's Traffic 360. They are now offering an upgrade discount to their new "Global Traffic". Is there any reason to suppose that RC4 won't work with the new version, please? TG.

Hello. So I recently downloaded the latest freeware version of Radar Contact. I installed it on my Windows 10 system, to use with FSX:SE. I installed it in a custom folder, and I installed it as an admin, as well as run it as admin. However, for some reason, when I run the exe, rcv4.exe, directly from the folder even, it simply closes almost immediately. Before I see any window or any application context, it just closes. I checked on task manager, and it basically starts and stops immediately. Ray, I will address this question to you because you were involved in the development of Radar Contact. I have an issue at some airports, LOWW and EDDN in particular, when I load a flight with either of these airports I am not able to select a departing or landing runway. Can you tell me from where Radar Contacts reads this info, is it an afcad or from an other source? What can I do to correct this problem? Thank you, Larry Gabriel

Hello to all. My hopes are, regarding rcv4 that I may receive a little guidance to some issues that cropped up after rcv4.3 install. Platform is windows 8.1 running fs9, FSUIPC 3.999z9b ( I have never used wide on this computer or my old XP machine) rcv4.3 downloaded from link within Avsim forum and jd icloud link. On first install of rcv4 destination auto selected Program Files (x86) Is this correct or should it have been Program Files only? On the next screen I selected FS2004, Full Next screen selected Start menu program. Followed the rest of the install process per instructions "Quick Start Guide, Install Radar Contact" No problems.…

Well, I did it again. I had to reinstall RC. Got my old notes out, and the first thing was to use the latest FSUIPC4. So I went to the Pete Dowson site and downloaded FSUIPC4 for FSX and P3D. After downloading it, I let it replace my older copy. Then I discovered it would not install into my P3dv4.4. So I downloaded the newest FSUIPC5 which appears to me as it may some 4 in it. Sound gets stuck, and starts looping after 2 hours, and on approach. Sim still running fine. Running FSX, Windows 7 and RC4.

Hello Ray When returning to some airports, particularly near side approaches, at the specified flight level , usually 11000 feet I am often accused of missing a crossing restriction and given an undesired vector. I say unable, ATC then says "I'll go to plan B" and request "best rate of descent" ....to an unstated level. It then appears to go into a loop and babbles on until eventually instructing freq. change to approach when I can then regain some sort of control. What is happening here ?......most irritating ! I have installed RC4 on my system (Win 10). When I run the program, rather than start RC, it brings up a Windows Installer for Roxio Creator (particularly odd since I've never run a Roxio product). After the Roxio installer quits, then it starts a regular undefined Windows installer. After this quits, then RC starts. The whole process can take about 10 minutes. I've been using RC through every iteration since probably version 2 and have never seen anything quite like this. Any help would be appreciated.
