I don't know if it's this, or if it's something else but the two times I've used the A320 with RC4 there's been all sorts of weird audio glitches. I also use Steves DX10 fixer, so it may have something to do with that, as I said, I don't know, those are the two most recent things I've added to FSX, before these two RC4 audio worked fine. Sometimes it won't play and I'll have to mute FSX in order to hear RC4, then others I'll have to unmute it. There are also random glitches in the sound, that sometimes makes it staticy and the random drop out and back in. It's kind of annoying I'd like to know if either directx fixer or the A320 is to blame. Or if it's something else? Th…

I've tried many offline atc addons. I feel like Pilot 2 ATC feels "disconnected" from the sim and lacks immersion for me. I love Pro ATC but the approach issues consistently plague this addon sending me on wild goose chases in different directions because it doesn't know how to Vector an approach properly. 1. How is Radar Contact with the realism and does it vector approaches properly and accurately? 2. Does it work with Prepar3d v4.5? Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone, since the latest Windows 10 update Radar Contact has become almost silent with the ATC voices being extremely quiet to the point where i am unable to hear them over the aircraft. Everything was fine yesterday before i installed the update, I haven't changed anything in my setup since then. I've noticed the same thing has happened to the GSX ground crew voices as well. I'm running P3Dv4 with Windows 10 pro. Any help appreciated with this strange issue.

1. Every time if there is only FSS at the airport when I call FSS I get an answer and it says it may be a few minutes but a few seconds after that RC4 crashes with error code:"RuntimeError 9, RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code" and closes. Every airport with only FSS. When I start on a controlled airport and contact delivery or ground RC4 works just fine. I start RC4 as an admin every time, and the .FLT/.WX Path is correct. What could be the issue here? 2. I keep selecting "Weather" for the holding in the general settings but every flight it resets to OFF so I have to switch it every time. I recently got Radar Contact and so far I'm loving it. But I have a question. Since these days I'm mainly flying GA aircraft, I was wondering if there is a way to have the Controller contact/call you by your tail number instead of a callsign and flight number. I would be primarily looking for a way to do it without modifying any files, but if there's no way of doing it without adding/changing a couple of lines, I won't mind doing that. Thanks in advance! Hello folks, hope all is well during this lock up. I,m using the Zibo 737-800, and it really does not matter what plane im using. When i load RC, and im ready to get Atis two different atis recordings will come up. and they are two different freq. For instance, I live in INDY and the icao code is KIND. the atis freq. 134.250. But with RC. when I push the key #2, to get Atis. (after of course i have loaded the corrected flight plan) , I will get two different recordings , they will be close but they may be different in wind and direction, and the barometer will be off by several points and the runways will be always different. I'm running P3D V4.5 on 64bit Win7 Pro. I downloaded rcv43-07-08-01 and seemingly installed it to C:\Program Files (x86)\rcv4. I selected FSX full since there's no P3D choice. When I want to load a flight plan I receive the MSSTDFMT.DLL missing error. As RC4 has been running perfectly for several years now, I inadvertently must have been doing something wrong.What can be done to resolve this issue? A reinstall of RC4? If so, where can I download RC4's installer. I no longer seem to have this installer on my PC's. Thanks, Hans van Wijhe

Would it be possible to somehow use RC4 with speech recognition voice control? The same way and alongside the FS2Crew products, since speech recognition is already set up and running. Is there any way to set this up?

Hi all, For some reason Radar Contact has stopped working for me in P3D v5. (FSUIPC 6 installed the old way - placed in Modules folder. Windows 10.) Ever since I installed the Meatwater audio files (not certain that was the cause) I can not make a selection of 1 or 2 for ATC cearance for example. The word 'Standby' shows up anytime I press 1 or 2 (the two options on the ATC window). Nothing happens after that. In the Radar Contact voice options I can test and listen to controller voices but it does not work for pilot voices anymore. I click on a name and I hear nothing. I decided to uninstall RC and do a fresh install. Unfortunately I still have t…

A gentleman named Roland Foster has created two utilities that better manage Ai aircraft when on approach and for ground-based actions. The link below will identify both. Note it appears to be designed for P3D v4 so I'm not sure how it will cope with v5 as I don't have that yet. Oh, and it will run on a client PC apparently.

I started using RC4 again recently and noticed a strange sound issue. All of a sudden the sound from RC4 goes very quiet and I can't really hear the instructions. Also, it appears as AI is talking with ATC at the same time I am, so the voices overlap. I have default ATC off.

Could someone let me know the weather path for Radar Contact 4 which is on a network using Active Sky for P3D residing on the P3dv4 computer? I suspect the wrong path is causing P3D to suddenly close periodically. Thanks in advance. Mark

Hello folks, my name is RobertC, and i have been using Radar C. form years. i recently moved to another state and bought a home. Upon doing so for some reason i have lost my copy of RC. i re downloaded it from his cloud. im a little confused on where to get the key generator and so forth. i read a few threads and i believe you folks said that its in a locked pin and look for item 2. Im as old as dirt, so can you be more pacific on what and where is item 2. i believe i can get it working, just need a little help. Thanks RobertC

I have no immediate plans to buy P3D v5 but for those of you who have and are wondering if Radar Contact will work the short answer is... I see no reason why it shouldn't. You will need FSUIPC6 and the latest version of MakeRunways - v4.90. FSUIPC6 is not yet available on SimMarket but that should change shortly. Just recently, I started getting FSS weather at the same time as RC4 weather. This happens at the start of a flight and also when I leave the frequency to get weather at around 50 mile from the destination. All other ATC communications are normal I am using P3d4, Win 10, Active Sky. Any ideas on how to silence the FSS weather?

Running RC4 on network and periodically I get the following message: "Maybe running on wideclient but FS not running on server or wrong FSUIPC". Yesterday was one of those days. I rebooted both computers, closed and opened RC4 a few times but no luck. Today, I did nothing different and RC4 worked perfectly. Any thoughts on why this is happening? Hello, I'm currently on a round the world flight and have had to adjust my route to avoid China and major COVID-19 areas and have been pushed to fly my Cheyanne to Micronesia and via Midway to America. I was flying from WAPP to PTRO. PTRO is a small airfield with a unicom frequency of 123.60 according to RCv4. During my decent to my destination I had my IFR cancelled and diverted back to VFR (in IMC conditions) I had to decent further below the cloud base and fly off my gps and land with no comms. Any reason for the mid-flight cancellation, should be able to switch to unicom/or centre if that happens.

I recently (as did millions of others, I'm sure) upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 following the discontinuation of Microsoft's support for Windows 7. As a part of that upgrade, I uninstalled, reinstalled RCV4 (several times now). When I attempt to run it for activation, I get the Windows Installer window (as usual). If I click OK, I get the message "The file “” is not a valid installation package for the product Voice Activated Commands. Try to find the installation package ‘setup.msi’ in a folder from which you can install Voice Activated Commands." Hi there, I have the error message runtime 9 as soon as I click on Run RC the error code appears and my plane is crashed and suddenly in the water. I had previously loaded the flight plan into the FSX and had myself seated on the airfield. I use the fsx steam version. I already ran the makerwy.exe and updated the scenery database in RC could the error be related to orbx scenery? does RC have to be installed on the same partition as FSX? many thanks for your help

Installed Radar Contact on New PC. Have the encrypt tool downloaded and when I generate a new key and Paste RC comes back up to same register screen every time.Any Help Appreciated. Eddie

As it says 'on the tin'... Running P3D4.5 and I have paid version FSUIPC5 installed. [Have had mega issues recently with FSC and now that I have it back and running OK] I now have an issue with RC4 where after loading a plan and wanting to run RC the error window 'cannot link to FSUIPC' pops up! Don't see any relevant items in 'search'. Woe is me... Ken 😉
